ParticipantMyril!!!! I’ve missed these!
welcome back.
Thanks 🙂
And I have one more:
Neal: “You don’t want to see I.D.?”
Robin Hood: “Who would claim to be that who wasn’t.”
(Someone liking The Untouchables? And there we thought you don’t know movies in the fairytale lands. You’re right, being the son of the Dark One comes close to being a treasury officer)

ParticipantA few quotes, one-liners and dialogue. And like last season with annotations of the not so serious kind.
Henry: “You’re here to destroy Neverland?”
Tamara: “It’s the mother lode of magic.”
(in your nightmares 😉 )
Greg: “We don’t ask questions. We just believe in our cause.”
(dedicated idiots. at least in fiction a guarantee for early death)
Henry: “It’s a good thing you guys don’t ask any questions”
(smarty-pants)
Hook: “Oh, I know my hotheaded queen.”
(they should make a running gag of it, or is it already? Hook calling Regina something queen)
Regina: “Greg Mendell said something funny to me. He said, I’m a villain, and that villains don’t get happy endings. Do you believe that?”
Hook: “I hope not. Or we waisted our lives.”
(as long as you’re not waisting ours. but serious, kinda: villains don’t get happy endings, only tragic heroes, lucky for you the lines are blurred)
Emma: “I didn’t grow up in some fairytale land.”
(indeed, people in our world are far more realistic but as irrational)
Emma: “How can you two be so infuriatingly optimistic?”
(thanks for speaking it out loud, finally)
Snow: “Emma, the minute I let go of the belief that things will get better, is the minute I know they won’t.”
(wise words, I guess)Hook: “Oh that’s a good use of our time: a wardrobe change.”
(superheroes and supervillains do that all the time, it’s part of what makes them super)
Emma: “I slayed a dragon. I think I believe)
(It’s the thinking part that is the problem here)
Rumple (to Emma): “Sorry dearie. Our foe is too fearsome for hand-holding. Neverland is a place where imagination runs wild. And sadly, yours doesn’t.”
(blame upbringing)
Felix: “We’re the home office. Welcome to Neverland.”
Tamara:”The home office is a bunch of teenagers?”
(surprise!)
Henry: “They’re not teenagers. They’re the lost boys.”
(thanks for clearing that up, smarty-pants, so they’re everlasting teenagers)
Hook: “What are you doing?”
Emma: “Getting ready for a fight.”
Hook: “Well, I’ve never known you to need to get ready for a fight. I thought it was a natural state.”
(he is so charming)
Phillip: “Were you hit by some kind of arrow?”
Neal: “.45 caliber arrow”
(mini-arrow)
Neal: “Tell Emma I’m alive, and I love her”(where’s the hanky?)
Hook: “Prepare for attack!”
Regina: “Be more specific.”
Hook: “If you’ve got a weapon, then grab it!”
(thanks for making that clear. Obviously Regina spent too much time in administration)
Emma: “What’s out there? A shark? A whale?”
David: “A kraken?”
Hook: “Worse… Mermaids.”
(So just that you know, this is not Jaws nor Sharknado, not Pinocchio, and nope, the kraken was another pirat’s story. Uhm, no, not Sindbad or Odysseus either – but these two would at least have quite an idea how dangerous mermaids are. Some greetings from Hogward though, these mermaids living in Neverland could be distant cousins)
David: “I will not be capsized by fish!”
(you’re so right, that would be so outrageous for any good prince – meanwhile his true love goes fishing – but you shouldn’t wonder if they keep on attacking if you keep calling them fish)
Neal: “Ah, well, for starters, they think that this place is just a fairy tale. Like a… like a legend, like we’re all just characters in a story.
Mulan: “I’m in a story?”
Neal: “Yeah, they made a movie about you. It’s actually pretty good.”
Mulan:”What’s a movie?”
(uhm, it’s moving pictures, eh, or so, with sound, and projected on a wall, but now on some device with screen, and, well, don’t bother, who needs movies if living in fairytale land)
Mulan: “Your belief in love wasn’t strong enough to overcome your fear of rejection.”
(sounds like she knows what she’s talking about)
Snow: “Threatening isn’t the way to motivate her.”
Regina: “Well, I’m all out of fish food.”
(of course Regina had to think of food, maybe try your fabulous lasagne instead)
Robin Hood: “I’d bow but this quiver’s rather tight”
(why do I suddenly have to think of men in tights…)
Neal: “Might not always seem like it, but family was important to dear old dad.”
(dad destroyed worlds for it)
Hook: “This isn’t a storm. It’s a bloody damnation!”
(at least it’s not raining sharks)
Regina: “And what? You’ll win her over with your rainbow kisses and unicorn stickers.”
(these pesky peaceniks and hippies)
Snow: “I’m so tired of you ruining my life!”
(take a break and let her ruin her own life for a change? just a suggestion)
Rumple (about Peter Pan): “There is always something with him.”
(could say the same about you, Rumple)
Neal: “I spent my entire life running from magic. Now it’s the only thing that can help me.”
(ironic, isn’t it, and so unexpected)
Emma: “It’s time for all of us to believe, not in magic, but in each other.”
Regina: “You wanna be friends?”
(can you be more specific?)
Emma: “I’m a mother, and now I’m also your leader.”
(period!)
Peter Pan: “And it is so much easier to get people to hate something than to believe.”
(sadly very true)
Peter Pan:”Let’s play!”
(rubbing hands)

ParticipantHmmm. Interesting how different people read some of the answers. Maybe because I use that answer “great question” myself a lot, but then I pretty much mean: “right, might be interesting to think about it, but haven’t really done it yet, and I am not sure if I will find the time to do so in the near future. Sorry, it’s not high on my list of things to explore, but good that your asking.” So I don’t see anything confirmed here, not the slightest bit.
But don’t give up hope 😉

It looks like it is over. Or maybe not. With some shows you should never be sure about anything. And that show might fit into that categorie. 😉

Myril, if you read this: if you want to edit your first post with what we’ve gathered so far, I put them into categories. If you can make it cleaner, feel free to do so, but these are the major ones from the four pages thus far. And then as we get more, one of us can update your first post as needed.
Done.
Was planning of doing that one day, but have been a tad busy with other things lately (there is something like a life beyond OUaT, hard to imagine). Many, many thanks RumplesGirl for sorting and making the list. 😎

ParticipantHi vroni, and welcome to the forums! 😀
Know that exciting feeling of being all surrounded by fairy tales, was born in Göttingen. I know Göttingen and Kassel are offering some events this year to celebrate the Brothers Grimm (Grimm Jahr 2013), are there events in Marburg as well?

ParticipantThere is a town in Maine, where every storybook character you’ve ever known is trapped between two worlds, victims of a powerful curse. Only one knows the truth, and only one can break her spell.
For most of season 1 this was told by a narrator in the opening (with slight variation, beginning episode 1×19 they changed the opening, dropped this and replaced it with a simple “previous on Once Upon a time”, which they have used as well in season 2) This was the story for season 01 in short, it was clear, simple, and thanks to the opening even new viewers were able to get it. I think this is why many feel, that season 01 was better structured, the story was clear.
Since the final of season 2 aired I’m trying to find an equally short simple way to describe the story of season 2. Without much success so far. “There is a town in Maine, where every storybook character you’ve ever known is living with the memories of two worlds. Is there a way back to their home or what will be at stake if they have to stay in our world?” – not so poetic but this could sum up what I expected to see in season 02, before it began, and still expected during the first half of the season. After the winter break though things began to change and pretty soon I was and still am somewhat at a loss, what was, is the story the creators, writers wanted to tell. Think, that is the problem of this season. We got a big bad with Cora (never saw Hook as big bad, more with potential to be an anti-hero, stay around longer and be a real pain in the butt later), but then they killed her way before the final episode. Meanwhile they threw first Greg, and then Tamara at us, combined their forces, turned them into some stupid pawns of a bigger scary (?) thing called Home Office, and couldn’t wait to drop the “Peter Pan is not who you would expect to be”-bombshell on us. Yeah, the temptation of the big toy box, to play too may toys at once.
The season was not awful, but they messed it up a little in the end in my opinion. There were enjoyable episodes, okay episodes, and a few episodes which were a bit like rushed mash thrown on the plates, edible but not appetizing. As I see it: it was rather okay til winter-break, still working mostly until they killed Cora, and what followed then would have been better pushed to 3rd season (not saying the episodes were all bad, just displaced). And particular in the second half, when they rushed things to get the Neverland thing into the show, character arcs were neglected for the sake of plot. Well, when I want to watch action movies I go and watch action movies, but OUaT promised to be a more character driven show, so I expected something different and feel somewhat disappointed about it at the moment.
Doesn’t help, that I find GOAT and the Home Office thing not the least bit intriguing, despite that I would have loved to have a story line exploring reactions of outsiders to SB, magic and fairy tale characters in our world, but not like that. Because GOAT knew about magic and were looking for SB I don’t really count them as outsiders even, but think thanks to them that option is now close to dead.
And I have to admit, that the Neverland thing not yet has a real spark for me, maybe because Peter Pan was never a storybook character a cared much about (too much a boy adventure dream story for my taste). What I like is the dark twist, so I will take a look where this is going.

Ok I guess if he is dead that theory is out new one Peter Pan is Hook and Milah son which he would be Bae,s half brother.
I had that brief thought once, but since Bae already finds a Peter pretty well established as the overlord of Neverland I think we can safely say that’s not the case since it’d take him a lot of time to reach that point.
Besides that (although had been said, that time works differently in Neverland, but still might be not enough time)
– as far as we know Milah never has been to Neverland. We only know that Hook went there after she was killed, using the bean Smee had
– so the, child would have been born in the Enchanted Forest, how did it get to Neverland?
– if Milah had given birth to another child I’m pretty sure, they would have tried to get Bae as well, think Hook wasn’t telling Bae a lie when he said, that Milah felt not good about leaving him behind and wanted to get him, when she felt he would be old enough to live a pirate’s life
– because Milah was living a pirate’s life I am pretty sure she used means to avoid getting pregnant. There has been no hint I am aware of that Hook ever had a child
Sorry to kill this idea before it starts blooming. 😉
