ParticipantActually it is in this episode, 1×21 An Apple Red As Blood. Regina discovers, that the apples of her tree are rotting and rushes to Mr. Gold’s shop. The scene is after the flashback, when Regina saves Charming from being decapitated, about 6 minutes into the episode.

ParticipantDon’t think they would do time travel. With flashbacks and jumping between realms it’s hard enough to keep track for many. Okay, these guys wrote for Lost, and I heard rumours, that a few from the audience are still missing and lost in time. So one should never be sure. 😉
(I’m joking)Would be careful with conclusions. Vancity Filming is a good source, but not someone working on the set. Can’t be sure what scene was filmed, in which time it was set. The differences between 1983 scene and present Storybrooke could be sometimes very subtle, so for outsiders not to tell.

Think you’re doing a good job. And how you handled things today was the right way.

I love the first volume of the soundtrack. There are some things I would liked to have seen included: like a full score variation of Prince Charming’s theme, the cello piece played in Broken when Emma came in to see Henry before breaking the curse (that was beautiful), Baelfire’s theme (yes, he does have a theme). And of course, Hook’s theme.
Love the soundtrack too. There are a lot of reasons why I watch and love the show, the soundtrack is a big one.
Are you talking of the cello piece in episode 1×22, Land without Magic? If so, want that one too.
Should make a wishlist.Remember, the composer of the underscore for the TV series Cold Case, Michael A. Levine, asked even fans via a forum for input on the content of a soundtrack CD they were going to make. So we made suggestions – and got a thank you for it in the liner notes of the CD.
Now, Mark Isham hasn’t asked, but think there is nothing wrong him letting him know, which pieces of the score we particular like, right?

ParticipantLike what ABCOnce is doing, making good use of Twitter with these teasers. Giving not much away (so people who don’t like to be spoiled much following them on Twitter should be okay with) but something to speculate about. Not to mention turning it into a little game with the number of retweets, takes care of some advertising.

ParticipantOnce Upon a Soap Opera 😆
As it looks Emma and Milah are not blood related, it might be awkard for Henry if his father is Bae, but it wouldn’t be a creepy relation if Hook and Emma ever will go there. Unless one finds any flirt of Hook kinda creepy but out of different reasons.
Find it amusing, that people seem to have a problem with old Rumple being in love with Belle, but not with old Hook flirting with Emma, just because they don’t notice the age of Hook because he didn’t age biologically, and was somewhere in his 30 maybe when he went to to Neverland and stopped aging. Rumple looks older, Hook does not, so no one is creeped out by the view of Hook flirting with Emma. Looks do make a difference.
As it does make a difference in moral judgment for most if someone is in some degree blood related or not. It’s based on incest taboos every culture has, though the taboos vary.
But is that all? Now don’t get me wrong, in my opinion Hook didn’t destroy the marriage of Rumple and Milah, there was not much left to destroy anyway, as I see it Hook was just the trigger for Milah to leave Rumple. Neverthless, the way Hook is already involved with Rumple and his family it does give it an extra note, that Hook is flirting with Emma, doesn’t it? Of course only if Neal is Bae, thus Rumple’s son, Henry’s father and Emma’s (teenager) love. In that case Hook flirting with Emma is playing with fire, messing even more around with this family. Hook doesn’t know, yet, will be interesting if he cares when learning who Emma has a child with, who she was in love with.
Anyway, don’t find it creepy, just somewhat wrong.

I bet the OUAT writers have a big whiteboard chart to keep track of all this stuff 😆
I want to see that chart. I actually started making a mock-family tree of my own for the Charmings.
Yup, would like to take a look at their relations and family chart too.

From AWB being Pino to Dr. Whale being Dr. Frankie, you’d be surprised where you’d find clues. If you”re a fan of Ethan Embry it’s because you know the movie. It’s a teen cult favourite. K&H would definitely take advantage of that and use it a clue.
Same goes for the plate saying Pennsylvania. Another nod/easter egg towards something that the K&H appreciate. If there were nods to One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, there can certainly be nods Can’t Hardly Wait & Ethan Embry, Myril.
AWB and Dr. Whale are names they choose for characters, giving clues. Casting an actor because one of his former roles can be used as a clue to give away something about a character is something different. At least I prefer to think, that they cast actors and actresses for their skills, maybe looks, but not because their work could be used as clue for something about the character they are cast to play, at least not if it’s for a recurring role. A clue is something that doesn’t merely coincides but something done, put there on purpose. If anything it might be a nice coincidence that Embry played a writer before, and in such a cult movie.
Yes there were nods to movies before, like to One Flew Over the Cuckoos’s Nest, as there are Lost eastereggs, but that are nods, allusions, pop cultur references, not clues for the story told or the characters. It doesn’t give something away, it’s fun, honoring the work of others, and geekdom. Sometimes it can be both, but a reference doesn’t always has a meaning for the story.
As I’ve said at the end of my post, I wouldn’t be surprised to find out that Greg was Peter Pan. Nor would I be to find out that he was WofOZ. The name Greg Mendell and the Star Wars clues can lead us in either direction. However, I’m not talking about Greg Mendel’s fairy tale character (if he does indeed have one) I’m talking about his outside profession, what he does for a living and all the clues that point toward it.
I am still nurturing the idea, that Greg has no fairy tale nor any other story book identity but is someone from our world. And I like the idea of him being a writer (liking in the sense could be interesting for story telling). Just saying the clues or references named here so far are not cogent, they don’t convince me, that it’s likely, that Greg in our world is a writer.
The name could very well be a hint though who he could be as fairy tale or story book character if he is any. Like Dr. Whale was a hint at Frankenstein. Could be even a hint, that he has story book history. Not so easy to discuss one without the other.
Now if Greg is a guy from our world and an outsider, but the author of Henry’s book, how would you explain, that he knows so much about the Enchanted Forest? The stories in Henry’s book deviate from cannon fairy tales a lot. Maybe nothing to discuss in this thread, because it’s not about clues. Just something to keep in mind.

This caught my attention, given that I’m on TeamWizardofOz, so I had to google it, (because once we get any theory stuck in our head, we interpret all clues to relate to it 😆 )…
http://tinyurl.com/a5t8stuThe tornado of 13th October 1870 in Brno can be considered as one of the
milestones in the history of documenting tornadoes in the Czech lands. The reason
for this is that it was very well described and analysed by Gregor Mendel (the founder
of genetics and a meteorologist) in his work (Mendel 1871). Recently, this was
discussed and translated from the original German text into English by Munzar
(1998). Mendel’s description of the event itself and his analysis of damage caused by
the tornado (Windhose) could serve as an example of tornado documentation and
damage survey even in most recent years. One of the interesting aspects of this work
was that he devoted special attention to the tornado’s rotation. He witnessed this
himself and stressed the fact of anticyclonic spin (and realized that this was a unique
exception from the “general rule”). Therefore, Mendel’s work can be regarded as the
beginning of the modern era of tornado documentation and research in the Czech
lands.Tornado research…portal to another land research…po-tay-toe….po-tah-toe. 😉
Counted on someone taking it up 😉
