ParticipantGold’s threat was very real, he meant what he said. Of course he made the threat out of the mood of the current situation with Belle, so somewhat hot-headed, but I am sure, that if any (more) harm would happen to Belle, we would see a furious Gold, lashing out at anyone he helds responsible. Rumple likes to blame others, as he blamed the Blue Fairy for his failure to trust his son and go with him, and likes to shift responsibilities on to others, manipulating them into doing things for his own merit, taking advantage of their wishes and fears, pretending he leaves them any real choices. That was a real threat he made, and I hope it will come back to haunt him. It should.
Higly doubt though that Emma would even consider to kill Gold preemptively, even if it might be her only chance to do it now, when traveling with Gold in our world, when he has no magic to protect him (assuming as well, he will not have magic powers outside of Storybrooke). She might have done some crap in her life, but can’t see her as a person having such thoughts (unless maybe if utterly desperate but don’t see that she is). Emma will do a lot to defend her family, if Gold would indeed be about to attack them, but so far there were just words, an announcement, what Gold would do if. Killing Gold before he actually did something or is attacking – sorry, but that is so not Emma. – So much for point 1 of alleged possible scenarious / outcomes here.
Gold killing Emma – why should he? So far Emma is useful for him and hardly a threat nor standing in his way. And killing her because Gold suddenly realizes on the trip, that because of his threat Emma might eventually consider to kill him – think Gold knows Emma well enough, that she is not the type to kill someone just like that.
Gold convincing Emma his threat is not real – does he has to? Again, don’t see Emma even considering to kill Gold while traveling in our world just because of a wordy threat, and doubt Gold would consider that Emma could have such thoughts. Not to mention, his threat was not not real, he meant it.
With that threat on mind traveling with Gold probably will be awkward for Emma, but think it will be not much of a subject while they travel.
I agree, the writers hardly did that scene with the threat in such a pronounced way for nothing, but think it was necessary to set up some tension between Gold and family Charming , to make things a little more complex again in Storybrooke. Gold will probably soon after returning be under attack, and why should family Charming be on his side without doubts? More drama if they have a reason not to jump to his side all eager to help him.

ParticipantSome impressive research, TheGoldenKey, some interesting ideas. Not quite following all your conclusions though.
Interesting about the plate, possible. Maybe a nod to Lucas.
But, pin numbers for cell phones usually have 4 digits. Don’t see much of a nod there to the number 1138. Just saying.
Doubt that the fact, that Ethan Embry played in a movie an aspiring writer, gives any hint about the character he now plays in Once Upon a Time. Or do you think they cast people because their former work might offer some nice to use hidden clue for fans to discover?
From genetics to conclude Greg might be the creator, writer of Henry’s book is thinking far outside the box in my opinion. But who knows.
The name Greg Mendell does of course look like a broad hint, hard not to think of Gregor Mendel. Johann Gregor Mendel is most known as the father of genetics, true, but he was in his time as well a bee-keeper, studied physics and astronomy, and he was a meteorologist, who kept log of weather patterns for years and analyzed a tornado that hit Brno in 1870. Not that this has to mean anything. Just that if the name has to do anything with Gregor Mendel I think it is more something about science.
The Star Wars references were for sure eye-catching (or more or ear-catching). Could be just a nod, or more. But what a coincidence, that the director of the episode, Milan Cheylov, did as actor voice work for the animated TV series Star Wars: The Droids.
Not saying you’re totally on the wrong path with your research, more acting as advocatus diaboli 😉 Actually I like the idea of Greg being a writer.

ParticipantMaleficent and Sleeping Beauty as well as the quest of Aurora and Mulan now for Phillip. A good opportunity to bring Aurora and Mulan back into the overall story arc could be, when people from Storybrooke will look for a way back to the Enchanted Forest.
Want a fairy story line too, but a different one. Not on the team distrust-the-Blue-Fairy, but think the fairies had an important role in the Enchanted Forest (and maybe other magical lands) and still have in Storybrooke some influence. Maybe could tie Maleficent into that story line, if her background is that of a fairy turned evil, maybe because of love (remember reaction to Nova). Maybe Maleficent was the one who gave the dark fairy dust to Snow. Maybe the Blue Fairy and Maleficent had some feud going on. Kitsis and Horowitz emphasized in interview, that we didn’t get to see a (dead) body of Maleficent, so think they’re keeping options open for this character even for the present. Besides I so would love to see them give Keegan Connor Tracy a chance to show some more profound acting, drama to shine with, and would like to see Kristin Bauer van Straten again.
Ruby / Red. Not so much in the past but in present Storybrooke. For me Ruby’s situation is one of the most interesting of any character in present Storybrooke. While others are just a little homesick maybe, Ruby has a real problem if the outside world comes to Storybrooke, and we can assume not even everybody in Storybrooke is fine with what she is. On the other hand, when Ruby talked Dr. Whale out of killing himself, she hinted, that our world might offer a chance, that maybe the Dark Curse in a warped way did a bit of good for some. What if Ruby would stop turning into a werewolf when leaving Storybrooke? Does she wonder about that? Would it be an option for her? As settled as she seems with her own dual nature, think the moment Ruby falls in love, she will be all angst again, still traumatized by what she did to her first love. And yes, I want Ruby to fall in love again at some point (no prefered ship here, might be someone already on the show or someone new, I am open minded).
Jefferson the realm jumper, or portal-jumper as he describes himself. He lost his wife and mother of Grace due to his work. There is some drama in that story, and drama always is interesting. Besides that I’m quite sure we’re going to see him again, we’re not done with realm jumping.
Stay in Storybrooke, go back to the Enchanted Forest? Can they go back at all, what do they want to do? Will it be a question of either all have to go or no one, or will it be possible to establish a lasting connection, portal, so that they could go back and forth? As Swanning-Off think that is something for next season to explore, but think there is not much to decide for the moment, expect someone or some to look for possibilities no matter what any Storybrooke council would decide.
