ParticipantMost certainly looks like there are different levels, or states, comparable to what science assumes about sleep. Maybe there are even more levels than the two we now know of.
Think only Regina said, one can’t die in a sleeping curse – but to me it sounded more like an attempt to reassure Henry, not like she was actually sure about it (didn’t seem to know much about it in the first place, besides how to cast it). Possible so far it never happened, but doesn’t mean it can’t. More likely considering the burns it is possible.
To induce the pain that it feels like it burned would be rather easy (stimulating the right nerves the right way). More complicate and in our scientifical understanding impossible to actually inflict real wounds via hurting the soul in another world or reality. Has to do a lot with believing, I am sure. What of course now might raise some other questions.
Snow showed some doubts in that fire room. Have a feeling, that she and Charming couldn't touch, because both or one of them didn't truly believe it was possible. Additionally Snow was starting to wake up.

Granny continues to be a badass. I think that it should be a law that the writers of OUaT follow that every episode must have Granny or Grumpy in it being a badass and/or snarky.
yes! 😎
Okay, maybe every now and then a “not a girl, a woman!” punchline by Snow, Emma, Regina or whoever is okay as well (hm, and maybe a “Don’t call me boy, I’m a man!” equality moment in between)

ParticipantMight be the only one, who liked the scenes between Hook and Cora, particular the one at the beginning. Two cunning minds up to no good but their own good, eye to eye. Those two are in some ways equals, Hook might not know as much magic, but he is as cunning and as arrogant as Cora. Don’t get fooled by sexy eyes and some pirate charm.

Granny – fearless 😎least favorite moments:
the zombies – uhm, okay, sure seen better one, and that was not a question of make-up, but at least thanks to them got to see some more asskicking Mulan, Snow and Emma. Did Snow take some archery lessons with Legolas btw?It had to be the needle of a spinning wheel, aka “the traditional way”? And the apple was the big FTL innovation 😆 But come on, as a comical moment maybe okay, but why do it so complicate? Slowed down story telling, took away suspense.

ParticipantMost of what you’re asking is running through my mind too. And I doubt we will get all answered next episode, in the winter final. Ah, something to fill the looooong holiday break.

– ok, the scene of Snow with Emma – Snow saying that they could play the blame game forever and Emma is like – you know what, we will just blame Regina for EVERYTHING. ALL ALONG. It’s not like Emma just stumbled into her life and sort of took Henry away. And it’s not like there were also other villains like King George or Rumplestiltskin himself. And Cora. I do hope that Emma will eventually see the whole picture and that not everything in FTL is white or black, starting from the Snow White herself. I sort of get a feeling that this is just to set up a background for Emma to see how horrible Cora actually is in comparison to Regina and that she would rather stick to the Evil Queen despite all the hate she has for her.
Emma is still feeling guilty herself, and sometimes it is unfortunately easier to blame someone else and particular someone you already deem responsible for some bad things. Emma knows still little about Cora, but I think, she will see in time, that Cora is probably the worse and the one more to blame. Although, there still is Rumple with all his meddling – is there anyone who hasn’t done a deal with him or had something to do with him at some point? Emma will not so soon forgive Regina, but guess work with her to stop the greater evil. And maybe in some far far away times they both will get a happy ending (maybe even together, I wouldn’t mind)
Right, Mulan acted a little like a lovesick teenager 😮
One more question: What’s the story between Rumple and Granny? There was speculation about a deal before, and now it’s sure there was something. Interesting how Rumple reacted in the diner. Well, I hope they’re going to tell it one day.
And Hook – he is a sexy heart taking opportunist, whoever will get him to SB to get his revenge, he doesn’t care. Now smart as he is, he told Aurora first to tell Emma, that the deal is still on – will Aurora remember that at some point?. Then he let Cora tell Aurora tell something different – and in a way, that I think made Emma wonder. She might suspect something. So how will they find out about Aurora? How will her story go on? Will she get her heart back? Or will she get at worst even killed, sending Mulan on a revenge mission?

ParticipantLooks like someone was dead on with Lake Nostos and a connection to the well in SB.

ParticipantIn real the pigeon or dove couldn’t have found Neal, they only fly back to their homes, they don’t find anything else. But we have seen Charming use a pigeon or dove in FTL to send a message to Snow, and he told that bird, “Find her”, had the impression, he didn’t know exactly where she was at that point. FTL bred pigeons might be a little different from ours. able to find people 😉

ParticipantI’m no expert in North American climate, and sure a film crew has sometimes to work with things as they are, but think, already colder weather in Maine while having still some cozy summer like weather in NY is not impossible. My guess: we might have been in October when the curse was broken. The scene in SB looked like (early) fall day, a time when it can be cold, and some people start wearing winter stuff early. Trees were still green, so it was definitely not winter.
Assuming the carrier pigeon is able to do 800-900 km a day (that’s about what at least good modern carrier pigeons can do) and assuming that SB is somewhere up the coast of Maine, maybe near to Machias or Eastport, the pigeon could have done the distance in a day. We do know the curse broke at 8.15 (or shortly before), and think it was 815am, in the morning. So it’s possible, maybe with some magical extra speed, and assuming August sent the pigeon right away, that the pigeon could have reached Neal after work in the evening.
Still means the scenes we see with Neal are in the timeline at least some hours after what we see in SB at the beginning of the episode.
Possible as well: time in SB still works somewhat different. The whole frozen time thing in SB while the curse was still fully in effect is giving me some headaches anyway. But hey, it’s magic. 😉

No matter how desperate you are, giving up your child is unacceptable. Plus these people seem never read or bargain the contracts. Ex: Cinderella-she signed the contract without reading it. She said she will give him anything. Rumple asked again: “anything?”. She said yes. Then it wasn’t really him tricking her right?
Rumple is a trickster. Did he ask her straight? Did he made clear what the bargain was? Rumple knew Cinderella was by no way thinking at that moment, that he might later ask for her first born. Right, Cinderella probably should have asked about every detail including every single word of the fineprint and insist on letting an experienced contract lawyer double-check it. Every 18-years old is already that smart and experienced in life to know that. I’m not saying what she did was right or not naive, all I’m saying is, it’s not simple black and white here, the motive to do what these parents did, wasn’t simple greed, the motives are more complex. Who are we to so easily judge them?
Rumple makes use of people’s desperation, naivety and nescience. A fair deal is something different. And does he really care about the kids? He compensates at best his own guilty feelings, telling himself, he is doing something eventually good. But actually he doesn’t care, he is an opportunist, making use of the parents and their kids and the adopting parents. He is not acting out of any empathy, he’s selfish one way or the other.

ParticipantThink you’re up to something here. It doesn’t make sense to me, that Rumple is doing the deals about children to replace Bae – then he should keep them. But he doesn’t keep them, Rumple is more a dubious Fairy Tale Land adoption agent. Is it about wealth and riches though?
In case of Prince James / Charming it wasn’t about getting rich or to become powerful but about surviving, the parents got the farm for it, which fed the family, but wouldn’t call that riches.
In the case of Alexandra you can say so, but Cinderella didn’t get when making the deal, that it was about her first born, and it was not about riches either, she just wanted to get out of that dreary life of a servant (would call it even life of a slave). When she learned about the price, she wanted to give up the happy life with Prince Thomas and keep her child, she and her husband fought for it. Her Storybrook alter ego Ashley was told, that she was not fit to be a mother, she was seen as young single mom, barely able to make it on her own without a child even.
In case of Regina I’m not convinced that there ever was a deal between Cora and Rumple about giving away her child, giving away Regina. Actually Cora is very interested in staying around her daugther and controlling her life, forcing her to live the life she deems fit. For sure, if she did a deal about Regina, she somehow got out of it. Of course maybe there is a sister or brother to Regina, who Cora gave up so that she became some wealthy woman (not quite as rich and powerful as she maybe hoped for, but it was a start – btw have the impression Henry sr. became wealthy thanks to his wife Cora, he is someward awkward with court etiquette and noblesse). Although another possiblity coming to my mind concerning Cora and Regina: Cora isn’t her birth mother but was the one to adopt Regina. Very curious what story they are going to tell about Cora and Rumple.
Of course in Rumple’s mind it might look like these parents didn’t deserve their kids, because they were ready to give up the children to turn things to the better.( I would say they were desperate enough, but might look different in the twisted mind of Rumple).

ParticipantI find most characters interesting and in one or another way likable (there is a reason, why I think, it’s one of the best shows on TV at the moment). But nevertheless pointing out few:
Emma – always have a thing for tomboys, and yes I think she is one, she so could have been one of the lost boys in Neverland. A lost girl (uhm, no pun intented, of course not, never). She has some strength, but her vulnerabilities are what makes her loveable. Besides: I love cinnamon too.
Snow/Mary Margaret – a woman with a sword (girl? she is no girl!), and archery skills, strong will, loyal, humble, open minded and warmhearted, and still she is shy and insecure at times. You can go on a great hunt into the woods with her as much as you can have a giggly women talk, the best friend one can have. And then there is cinnamon.
Granny – knows how to handle a crossbow and has some dry humor, who doesn’t want to have such a granny at her side? Not to mention rumor has it she serves some mean heated up Lasagne at her diner.
Grumpy / Leroy – I hate it too when people ruin my breakfast, or lunch or whatever meal. And never ask me to smile in the morning either. What is not to love about him?
Evil Queen / Regina – In a moment of utterly craziness I might offer her my heart voluntarily, just to get close enough to her to study her at great length. She is dangerous but not as calculating as her mother, and that makes her interesting. And this woman has style. Oh, yes, sexy badass, can agree with that too.
Rumplestiltskin / Mr. Gold – how many layers does this man have? Getting into his mind is the task of more than a lifetime, I guess, but worth a try. Fascinating! (and please, give Robert Carlyle an award for this acting!)
and now coming to my most favorite character …
Red / Ruby – I love wolves, it’s as simple as that. Even more when it’s some good looking, smart, friendly, fierce she-wolf.
Astoundingly Little Red Riding Hood was my favorite fairy tale despite that the wolf had no good time in it, not in the common version that is. In my version of the tale, Red walked off with the wolf and they had a great, adventurous, happy life together, or Red and the wolf together saved granny from the evil hunter and then lived happily ever after, maybe after some quarrel with the mother, but even she had to admit in the end, the wolf was the good guy. But the idea to make Red the wolf is far better.
And of course I like the children’s story by Prokofiev, Peter and the Wolf, had that great book with white/color on black illustration of it, by Frans Haacken, here an example from it. unfortunatly my copy got lost. So had a blast that Red’s crush was named Peter, what a tragedy she killed him.¯\_(?????? ?)_/¯
