ParticipantIs it just me — or does anyone else laugh at the mental image of a gloomy Mr. Gold sitting in the back seat of that yellow bug? LOL. π
I wonder if he was silent for the whole trip, dozing off, or blurting out directions. Google says it’s a 7 hour and 22 minute drive from Maine to Manhattan. The fact that everyone made it to NYC alive is magic in itself, I think.
Now I definitely want a roadtrip scene of Gold-Emma-Henry in that car. I really, really hope they don’t leave that out entirely. π

ParticipantIs it true that 2×14 is the Valentine's day episode? π
I know a lot of people are talking about Neal’s reaction — but if Rumple doesn’t know about NealxEmma (—-> Henry)…lol. I don’t know if he will laugh or cry. Maybe both in a hysterical combination.

ParticipantI agree, TheGoldenKey. The minute I saw him I thought he looked like a Peter Pan!!
But more importantly, Peter Pan is one of those characters who can travel between non-magical/magical worlds, so there’s a good explanation for why he wasn’t caught by the curse. My personal theory is that he was in our world when the curse hit – and that prevented him from going back to Neverland. And so “the boy who never grew up”…well, grew up. The tragedy basically writes itself. π No wonder he as a dark side.
And of course he wouldn’t be recognized by anyone, maybe not even Hook. (which might be funny.)
And I also hope he is/becomes friends with Neal. There’s a lot of screentime for princesses on this show – we need a Lost Boys troupe to balance it out.

ParticipantI think…regardless on what Emma and Neal reveal about their relationship, Henry will just figure it out. I would be kinda disappointed if he didn’t. π
He figured out the whole curse from a picture book, and almost everyone’s identity. He found the Mad Hatter by the docks when Charming had to use a spell. He found his mom in Boston. I’m sure he’ll be able to tell something’s up when Emma starts acting weird around “Baelfire”.
That being said…the writers might take advantage of Henry’s trust in Emma. Emma told Henry his father was dead, and he trusts her, so he might believe that’s true…but I think that would be denying how incredibly precocious Henry is.
And I don’t really like it when the writers aren’t consistent. Like “this character is extremely intelligent but on this one occasion they were not and therefore it moves the plot forward.” π

ParticipantWhoa – I wonder who gets “murdered.”
And I feel a bit annoyed that Charming — after seeing Regina trying to redeem herself — is now suddenly plotting her death. I mean, really? Falling for another fake murder, David?

ParticipantAlso, we now know with Billy (RIP Gus Gus :()…that characters that were once animals can be human in our world. π
Maybe with Gus Gus they were setting up the animal–>human rule for something later in the season? Like the White Rabbit?
And yeah, I’ve heard the theories that Neal’s heart is in the box. They’re really cool. Doesn’t August say something to that effect: like, “after I show you what’s in the box, you will listen to every word I say.” Which, at least to me, sounds kinda sinister…like Neal would see what was in the box he would be completely spell-bound and under August’s control.

ParticipantI think if Neal is Bae, there will be fireworks when he shows up in Storybrooke.
Here’s an interesting quote from Bobby:
CARLYLE: The stuff thatβs coming up, that Iβm just about to do in the next three or four episodes, is mind-blowing. It just takes it somewhere else again. I was like, βOh, my god!β You actually will feel sorry for Gold. Thereβs his love for Belle and heβs trying to be a better man, but weβll see how long that lasts.
That was in recent interview (in which he was promoting his new movie). So…if Neal's coming back in episode 14-ish, which some fans guessed from MRJ and K&H…I guess that gives Rumple/Gold three or fours episodes to do really unspeakable things, particularly with the arrival of Hook and Cora. I'm thinking Bae is going to show up at the worst possible time. And it breaks my heart a little.
naomi
ParticipantReally loving ths young Cora idea.
And also: Yay! More child characters. For a while there all the new castings calls were asking for actors in their 20s to 40s. π
naomi
ParticipantThe sad thing is that MRJ seems to be getting a disproportionate amount of hate. I wish people could pay attention to how real and natural he is on screen – I think he really is talented and that he deserves a big role, like playing Henry’s father. π I just hope Adam and Eddie & co. write the show how they WANT to and however they PLANNED to, and not take screen time away from characters simply because they’re not popular with the fandom.
I hope the rudeness he’s getting on Twitter doesn’t deter him from tweeting to his fans, either. Oh, what a downer. *sigh*

Participant“In episode 13, we’re going to meet Helena, a well-bred lady of the courts who is also a fearless hunter. Here’s her official character description — any guesses as to her fairy-tale identity? “Female, late 20s to early – mid 30s, brunette. A confident, well-bred lady, Helena knows her way around kings and courts. She can sweet-talk with the best of them and can wrap any man around her finger. But Helena is also a fierce warrior, and takes immense pride in the deadly creatures she has fought and slain. A sophisticated lady who loves adventure — this highborn hunter will stop at nothing to get her quarry, even if she has to get her hands dirty.”
On second thought.
I don’t know if anyone has said this yet, but I think Helena could be Guinevere, the wife/consort of King Arthur who falls in love with Sir Lancelot and begins an affair with him. A lot of rumors are going around that we’re going to see Lancelot again this season – or at least his backstory – and Guinevere will likely play a part in it. Remember “Lady of the Lake?”
Prince Charming: Must be a curious tale.
Lancelot: What?
Prince Charming: Well, how a knight of the round table ended up a sword for hire.
Lancelot: You mean how did I fall from grace? The same way you ended up running from King George. A woman.Back to the character description.
First of all, Guinevere is definitely a woman of the court. But I think it’s likely that the Once writers will also give her fighting/hunting skills to match her husband’s, because they seem to like writing strong female roles. Also, in the old tales Guinevere is portrayed as being incredibly beautiful – which explains why Lancelot betrays his king to be with her. In fact, some people will describe her as the “Helen of Troy” of Arthurian legends (maybe “Helena” is a play on this to throw us off?). Lastly, I’m not sure about the original tale says, but Guinevere is often portrayed as a brunette.
Thoughts?
I’m not sure what this means for Arlo. Maybe he’s King Arthur.
