So, i’m writing here what we know -and infere- about her and going to try to analyze the facts :S1.- She was married to Rumpelstiltskin, apparently for love. In the escene on “Manhattan” in which he is called to front, is an inference that she is learning to embroider from him (“R: that was quick” M: I had the best teacher” -more or less) This makes me think… how did they meet? what sort of relationship they had? what leaded them to marry? was it love or convenience? was it a slow process of being fond one of another? infatuation?
I am thinking it was an arranged marriage…. she might have come from a poorer family or a family with too many girl children…. and the RUMPLE family might have given a dowry or excused a dowry. Arrange marriages were common in Europe during middle evil times and right up to closer to the 1900s… in some cultures they are still considered desirable.
2.- She was pregnant while he was at war… but he knows it through a seer. However, she says that news arrive soon from the front. so… how is it that Rumpelstiltskin didn’t know about his wife being pregnant? why didn’t she write him?
In mid evil times not too many people wrote or could read.. you went to the village scribe to send letters then someone had to read them to you …. IF YOU GOT THE LETTER AT ALL.
A woman might not know she was PG until she missed several periods. There were not PG test. Working women./ serfs/ peasants tended to be irregular because of poor diets, and stressful life style… that is why they often died young.
3.- She didn’t want her husband going to war. But she didn’t want his husband back home. Ok, i get it: people was saying that he was a coward, she was probably being bullied by her neighbors, but still… if few months before she was so sure he wasn’t a coward, and besides, she loved him, she should listen his reasons, let him explain what happened with the seer. Or, even being too mad at him, at least not saying that “i wish you were dead” stuff.
MIHLA was first and for most for HERSELF. She did not want the neighbors looking down on her or her son. She wanted to leave the village to go off to far off places, she wanted adventures but having the babies of a poor man now a “coward “does not get her that.
4.- She puts her son in his dad’s arms and leaves. Wow. I mean, what was that? some sort of Medea’s syndrome attitude? “he is your son, he remembers me of you, i don’t love him anymore,so i don’t love you either”?
5.- But no, since in “The crocodile” she seems ashamed when Bae calls her at the tavern. And still, she leaves him with his father.
6.- She runs away with Hook. ok, yes, she fall in love with him, true love,blablabla… but again…what about her son?
7.- She hides from her ex. She let her husband believe she was captured by pirates “because Hooks crew needed companionship”, and afterwards if the Dark One wouldn’t be riping Hook’s heart, she would let him believe she was death. what was she so afraid of? ok, i can understand she were afraid of post Dark one Rumpelstiltskin, but… the pre Dark One man? why did she just leave and hide?
8.- Despite all that coward attitude, she fights bravely for Hook’s life, for their love, etc… Even to the point of tell her ex. that she never loved him. was it true? was it a lie?
So, the point is, i’m a bit confused. Her personality, attitude and reactions change too much and so quick that i can not come to understand them as a whole, as part of her personality. Seem to be contradictory.
My conclusion would be that she is not an actual character, but a plot device. And still, it is not a good explanation. :S :SI think her character is written to convey what is needed at the moment in the scene… just to get sympathy for Rumple and move the story along. LAZY WRITING. I think the writing is being pushed to move the stories along because the main criticism last year from critics is that the arks were too slow in unfolding.
Any thoughts?

I had a wild theory I just rewatch end manhattan an after seeing the promo how do you all think rumple survives ? There was a lot of focus in this ep on the dream catcher do you all think perhaps Emma can use it to harness the power and heal rumple.. Emma is the saviour who rumple has said was created by the most powerful magic.. True love .. So if there's anyone who can b an exception to this worlds magic barrier it's the woman with the biggest barrier of them all.. She denied Cora her heart which had never been done and when rumple was talking to Frankenstein he said this world had magic but its forgotten an basically the ones who do are weak I don't think Emma is and I can't see Emma n co takin rumple to a hospital.. How will he beat this/ will he ?HEARING RUMORS THAT HENRY DOES SOMETHING HE HAS NEVER DONE BEFORE…. Could he use magic in the real world and heal Gold?
Can I ask why are you using spoiler blocks when you are posting in a SPOILER thread in the first page. Pretty much every one knows that Spoiler THREADS are to be avoided if you want to avoid spoilers. When all the threads are merged into one then the spoiler tags are annoying. Just a thought.

The Seer said there's more to “the boy” (who we assume is Henry) than meets the eye
We see Hook stabbing Rumple.
Is there more to Hook than meets the eye? Just doing some math.
Are they in SB or are they in NY… the apartment looks like Emma’s loft and the SHERIFF’S office. What do you think?

.The big signature banners / flashing gifs take up a lot of bandwidth for the server. They also tend to be annoying when you are trying to read a post and the signatures take more room then the post. I personally find the flashing gifts annoying as they give me a headache.

That is totally where I thought this was going, too, but it appears we’re both wrong. As Jennifer Morrison explained to me, “Unfortunately for Regina at this point, she is so wrapped up in her own sort of mess with her mother being in town and the complications of that relationship, and sort of her failing at trying to not use magic, she sort of misses seeing her opportunity [with Henry]. She does make a move to get him back, but she doesn’t necessarily make the most strategic move, based on the circumstances.”
