Participant-Regina falling for Cora’s words. I knew Regina’s redemption was too good to be true. It doesn’t mean she can’t redeem herself later on, but I think this just showed that she needed to do it for her own sake rather than just trying to get Henry back. If she only wants to get better because of Henry and not because she realizes it’s the right thing to do, she’ll likely relapse again like she did in this episode. The same applies to Rumple. If he only does the right thing because he feels he has to, to keep Belle in his life, he’s likely going to fail.
I think Regina is smart enough to play it down with her mom. Find out what she is after before trys to battle her. On other forums they think that Regina is manipulating Cora by falling in with her plans. .
-The flashbacks were somewhat dull. I feel bad for David Anders because he got saddled with the guy who played his father and the guy who played his brother. The latter was somewhat okay when he was wanting to die, but overall I thought both of them were pretty bad especially compared to Anders.
If you do not like the guest / bit players like the father, the brother… BLAME THE WRITERS…. they frequently write the ancillary characters as flat and uninteresting, barely giving them anything worth while to do or say…. they did that with GASTON, Daniel and several of the Princes and others. They also tend to kill them off quickly. I think they do this to use the actors and actresses as props to the main cast members. If the ancillary players are flat it makes the regular actors who we care about that much better and even if they are not. .

I liked this episode a lot. It was dark, but it didn’t take itself too seriously.
Some favourite moments:
– the doctor dressed as The (4th) Doctor
– Disney celebrating its big acquisition from King George
– Emma banging her head in frustration
– the return of Cool IgorWho is the 4th Doctor you are talking about?

ParticipantI do not think the writer’s were going for this type of reaction…
I did not like that such a large number of them could think of killing the man GREG. I do not care if he was an outsider to even THINK some of the things they said about killing the man shows them as weak and helpless. If they have magic give him a “forgetting spell.” Make Gold / Regina put a barrier that will keep unexpected people out…
And who the HECK delivers groceries and goods to this town?? When will that question be answered??

Found a web site that really went deep into Emma’s thoughts on Henry’s father… I found it interesting reading and wanted to share

ParticipantThey are ex lovers and ex lovers frequently have a soft spot for each other and can remain cordial in their meeting post break up. After all Rumple was over 300 years old so he could have lived many lives, had many sexual partners without really loving them. He does not seem to have aged.
Rumple / Gold went from a simple shepherd / weaver to a gentleman with a manor house. ( the one that Belle kept tidy) He could educate himself in magic why not more refine living and academic pursuits. He had to do something during the time he waited for the curse to be enacted.I AM THINKING OF THE MOVIE / TV series the HIGHLANDER… he went from a simple Scottish cottage to being a refine but reclusive gentleman. Educating himself along the way because he could not die. The Highlander has wives and girlfriends along the way and he outlived him all until he could not longer love due to the pain of his lovers dieing.

ParticipantI think we will see the GIANT in FTL flashback… Something to do with PC ‘s brother before he got killed by the other Giant. Were they not at war with the giants? The giants were terrorizing Midas kingdome and hired King George and his son to rid them of the giants.
I think there is some kind of family grudge going on and PC in SB gets mistaken for his now dead brother. The giant in SB goes after PC to even the score.

I just realized, If Hook gets better, he could use Belle’s condition as an excuse to poison her against Rumpel 🙁
MAYBE IT WILL BE A LOVE TRIANGLE…
BELLE, HOOK and Gold. …. Hook is better looking, swaggers and has enough gall to try to win Belle’s trust and love just to turn her against Gold. -
