TheGoldenKey, as much I would like it, I don’t think Regina will redeem herself any time soon. She’s trying to, but she’s doing it for all the wrong reasons – to get Henry back on her side. Hence it is still selfish and she’s not even remotely sorry for all her wrongdoings. Especially now, when she's going to be blamed for Archie's death, she might decide this is enough and that she much more prefers the times when she was in control, no matter what.
I also believe that Cora will do everything she can (and as we know, she really can do a lot!) to make sure her daughter really needs her, never mind the means. Regina right now is left very vulnerable indeed and she’s also lured into the belief that she’s temporarily safe from Cora. So the shock of actually seeing her might act against her. Not to mention that for all those years she believed her mother was dead and we haven’t seen yet her dealing with this – is she scared just for Henry or also for herself? Does she unconsciously hope for her mother’s help? (one of the reasons she might have wanted her mother dead in the first place – not to follow her influence and temptations)
We haven’t seen any of her [live] interactions with her mother since she pushed her through the looking glass so there are even more questions – has she spoken to her since? Can she stand up for herself or will she still be this defenseless girl in front of her mother? I know that Regina has now a lot more experience and power but this is her mother we’re talking about and we all know how hard it actually is to stand up to our own parents, especially when they are so psychotic and tyrant like this!
I actually think that Regina’s 28 years in Storybrooke and 10 years of living with Henry brought to her a lot of the experience that would help her not only understand Cora but give her strength to deal with her issues. I’m sure she’s also learned a lot of the feelings that Cora, no matter how great queen of hearts, has never experienced (or doesn’t remember any more), even small gestures like Snow White actually recognising that it’s the enormous loneliness that drives Regina into her evil actions (she told her that in Storybrooke as MM so even before she regained her memories ); Henry asking Emma to protect Regina because she’s still his mother; Emma inviting her to the dinner.
All that is pretty new to her and I’m sure difficult to comprehend but she’s actually experienced that whereas Cora probably hasn’t so hopefully it will help Regina in her final struggles.
BUT she is still vulnerable, like Cora predicted and she could do with someone’s support. Cora knows Regina as a daughter she’s had for 18 (or 19?) years so I’m sure she can still play some sneaky cards on her. She is so calm and confident, she can easily play behind a mask. That combined with mixed feelings and shock is a really powerful weapon and I’m sorry but Regina just doesn’t stand a chance.
Seeing that Henry is head over heels for his ‘new’ mother, I can only imagine Regina turning back to the dark side and becoming the Evil Queen again. It’s so much easier.
She is just this character literally taken right from the Greek tragedy that doesn’t have any happiness or control over her life. She really hasn’t had anyone to show her the right way (Henry the father just kept saying “everything’s going to be ok, you are imagining things” and Henry the son is just using her to help ‘the right mom’). With Emma attempting to change this, I really hope she will EVENTUALLY somehow redeem herself but right now it’s not remotely possible – not with Henry turning away from her, Cora on her back and pretty much everyone else in Storybrooke holding a grudge against her.I do not think ARCHIE is dead… I think he is in a sleeping curse but needs someone to wake him up…. a lick by PONGO probably will not do.

ParticipantINTERESTING INTERVIEW AND COMMENTS

ParticipantI think that the producers are going to do the typical American SOAP OPERA thing of bringing the couple together to tear them apart due to circumstances, to bring them back together to tear them apart again…. this will go on as long as the show last… or until the actor/ actresses leave for another part or show that pays more money or is better for their careers.
H&K has said they have an overall story to tell … but we are here for the adventure of the stories regardless of how it plays out.
BETTY DAVIS said. ” Fasten your seat-belts it is going to be a bumpy ride”…. I say ENJOY THE RIDE.

Rumpelstiltskin/Gold and Hook’s Confrontation Is Coming:
Captain Hook’s journey to get revenge on Rumpelstiltskin (Robert Carlyle) has been a long one, but viewers won’t have to wait much longer. Producers teased that the anticipated face-off happens “very soon” after the return, and as expected, it won’t be pretty.
Romance, Romance, Romance:
The pairing of Emma and Hook has gotten Once viewers talking, and Hook might not represent the ideal person for Emma to be engaged with. “I think that in all life, there are the people who are right for you and there are the people who are wrong for you, and then there are the people you just choose,” Kitsis said, before adding later, “I don’t know if she would stare at [Hook] and think he’d be a great father for Henry but he might be fun in Vegas.” Also, expect more obstacles and challenges to come Belle’s (Emilie De Ravin) and Rumpelstiltskin’s way.
Mystery of Henry’s Father:
Producers are toying with Henry and his biological father Neal Cassidy (Michael Raymond-James) sharing a scene at some point this season. Plus, the contents of the box Neal opened in an earlier episode will be revealed.
Other Destinations:
A promo revealed as much, but producers confirmed that “the idea of leaving Storybrooke” is explored.

Another One Bites the Dust?: It’s been teased that one of Storybrooke’s own might bite the dust in Sunday’s “The Cricket Game,” and the aftermath won’t be easy to deal with. “Death’s a big deal,” said Kitsis, who joked that he still gets death threats for killing off Sheriff Graham (Jamie Dornan) in season one. Question is: Will the death stick?
An Intimate Snow and Charming Reunion: The theme for the remaining season two episodes is family, but how do the recently reunited couple celebrate their reunion? In a rather embarrasing way — at least for Emma and Henry (Jared Gilmore). “It’s fun to see them together again,” Kitsis said of Snow and Charming. “They’re figuring out their new role being together, being in Storybrooke and being Emma’s parents.” With memories of their fairy-tale lives back in full force, Kitsis added that “going forward” they’ll question what “being a family” means and find themselves asking, “What do we want now?”

Mysterious Guest Stars: Although he was coy in revealing info about Ethan Embry’s “mysterious stranger” character, Horowitz shared that Embry will make his debut “soon.” (Not a spoiler: Horowitz also called his turn “great” and a name will come.) It was revealed Wednesday on Twitter by star Josh Dallas that Downton Abbey’s Lesley Nicol would drop by. The only nugget the producers would offer? Her character has ties to Snow and her family, which will be explored in episode 15. There also might be an August (Eion Bailey) return.
Other Destinations?: A promo revealed as much, but producers confirmed that “the idea of leaving Storybrooke” is explored.
Check back after the return episode for teases on the aftermath. Once Upon a Time is back at 8 p.m. Jan. 6 on ABC.
