Price of Magic….
Good points I will consider it… maybe both is working here at different levels. Gold will continue to work at getting Bae back… but he really should explain to Belle what his goals are and he has not yet done so….. I also wonder why Gold would take a chance that LOVING and being committed to Belle in the fullest sense would cause him to lose his magic. Maybe it is the object that have magic and he knew that …. that is why he is not worried. I still think Gold is addicted to power / magic and plans to maintain it in the future… planning to have his “cake/ Belle” and ” eat / HAVE HER” too.
I am looking forward to seeing how EVERYTHING evolves.

I should have asked, compared to what exactly? I thought it was hot. And seeing gifs of the kiss all over my tumblr is awesome.

Ok, due to recent spoilers, we've received quite a bit of information about Rumpel. In the season 2 promo, it was revealed that Rumpel will be working with a new weapon, a medallion. And yesterday it was also revealed that he and Belle will be able to kiss. Which is strange considering true love's kiss has the power to break his curse, thus robbing him of his powers. So, what does everyone think of this? I'm really surprised by the second development. If Rumpel isn't afraid to kiss Belle, does that mean his curse has been broken? Or does it mean that his curse is no longer a factor in this world?

I think Rumpel’s medallion will do one of two things. It’s either a weapon that will be used against Regina or the final battle, or it’ll help him find Baelfire. Someone on Tumblr said that the symbol on the medallion meant “white arsenic.” So, Rumpel may be using the medallion as a way to poison Regina or any of his other enemies. But someone else said that the symbol on the medallion was also the symbol for gold. This theory makes more sense to me. Rumpel was able to spin gold during his days in Fairytale land, and his name in Storybrooke is Mr. Gold. So, I’m going to go with this explanation. However, I’m not sure how the medallion will be used to find Baelfire. I’m just guessing that’s what it’ll be used for. His main objective is to find Baelfire, so most of his actions will be fueled by that desire.
And the kiss…oh the kiss. WAY. TOO. HAPPY. ABOUT. THIS.
I don’t think his Dark One curse is fully activated in this realm. So kisses and other forms of romantic physical contact are easier to achieve now. But if Rumpel does somehow manage to return to Fairytale land without finding Baelfire, then Belle is going to be in trouble. He’ll be the Dark One again, and he’s going to need his powers to find his son. So, let’s all just hope that he find Baelfire QUICK. 😯I do not think Mr Gold has the medallion in his possession anymore… but I could be wrong… I would have to see the episode again.
I think the kisses do not work because Mr Gold is not fully committed to Belle…. similar to Snow in revenge mode having forgotten Charming. Since Gold keeps things close to his vest he is not stupid enough to say this to Belle. I do not think he will fully commit until he has Bae back in his life….. Gold is a long term planner / strategist.

Based on the fact that it seems Cora will be in present day FTL, I think her presence will have something to do with the fact that part of the land was immune to the curse to a certain extent.
I agree with you on this one…. I feel that even though Regina did not want to be around her mother…. she could not bring herself to killing her…. so she banished her mother to another region and did not let her partake in her being QUEEN. When the curse took effect she did not destroy the region her mother was in… she just froze it for the length of the curse.
IF you looked at spoiler clips you see Emma being blocked by Snow as they confront CORA. This is why I think this region had been saved. I also think this was how Regina and her dad knew about the two headed snake…. It looks like Agabar. So they had contact and knew how to get the snake…. Wasn't there a map of FTL that had all kinds of castles and regions map out on it. I guess we are now finding out more about FTL.

Someone mentioned they thought he was JACK THE RIPPER since he is fascinated with women. I think NOT as this is a family show.
I leaned toward Jack in the Beanstalk or the Pied Piper. … no particular reasons. There is a giant coming (former LOST character) so I am leaning toward Jack and the Beanstalk. (THESE are very old DISNEY cartoons shorts from the 40s-50s) As far as I am concern they are fair game.
I would not rule out any of the Greek gods from mythology. They had Midas and the writers have said they are using ANY and ALL fables / folktales / stories. The writers job is to thrill us, surprise us and keep us coming back for more.
