Do I need to separate you two?
Knock off the attacks that are getting a bit too personal with regards to “favoritism”
I’m having heart palpitations again. This forum gives me so much stress on a daily basis and I’m not even the moderator.
Can this thread be closed?

ParticipantYes, you’re right Rumple is a saint and he’s not accountable for anything he does at all. . I’m not sure why I even bother talking.
But the reality is, everyone is accountable for their actions because they were choices they made.
Rumple had a choice in almost all relationships to shift the course into a positive light. You love Rumple, PriceofMagic, don’t deny his agency. He’s flawed. If you at least admit that, maybe I won’t have heart palpitations.

Participant1) What was your favorite episode of S4B?
Poor Unfortunate Soul. What made the first season of Once so magical is that a majority of the episodes from season were character based stories. There was still an on-going plot but the story focused more on the characters, where they were at in the story and where they were going moving forward. And Poor Unfortunate Soul was a great character driven episode. The Author thing was still there, but it wasn’t characters reacting to this new development and that. People actually talked to each other and shared their feelings.
Mother is a close second, because again, it was a character driven story. Plus, it was also nice that the Author stuff was sidelined for a bit.
I hope Once gets back to showing more character driven episodes vs. showing us the plot and characters reacting to it.
2) What was your least favorite episode of S4B?
Unforgiven was pretty awful. I can’t think of anything from that episode that makes sense timeline wise, especially the stuff with Maleficient’s backstory, Aurora, Snow, even Regina’s use of magic. Nothing jived to me.
3) Did you prefer S4A (Frozen) or S4B (The Queens of Darkness)?
The Frozen stuff. As overwhelming as it was, I think I prefer how 4A was more character driven rather than plot driven.
4) Who was your favorite QoD?
Of course it’s Cruella. She has so much sass.
5) What was your favorite plot twist?
Belle expelling Rumple in the winter finale. I have never been more proud of Belle’s character for standing up against him and doing the hard but right thing.
6) What was your least favorite plot twist?
Rumple getting a white heart. Adam and Eddy have to do serious stuff with that in order to make that storyline ok with me.
7) Overall grade for S4B and final thoughts?
C.
I need less plot driven stories and more character driven arcs. I sincerely hope in 5A that Adam and Eddy focus more on the core characters, rather than falling into the same trap that they did in 4A and overdo everything else and forget about their main characters. Basically, I need more streamlined, simpler storytelling. You can still have Camelot, Merlin and all that but please, Adam and Eddy don’t forget about your main cast. They need attention too.

ParticipantI also think, we tend to take things way too seriously ourselves sometimes and forget that real world rules aren’t necessarily going to apply to stuff that happens on the show.

ParticipantAdam’s twitter. Sadly, you’ll have to wait until the new season starts up again.

ParticipantMy point is if Rumple listened to Milah’s concerns in the Crocodile and moved, she wouldn’t have left with Hook. Because if he had, their marriage would have had a chance to be fixed.
Same thing with Bae. If Rumple listened to what Bae wanted, he wouldn’t have gone to great lengths to seek out the Blue Fairy. Bae said to him, ‘You know, you could just give up the power’ and he made an excuse to keep it.
With Belle, if Rumple had been more honest with her (because honesty is the huge issue in that relationship), she wouldn’t have left him multiple times.
Rumple alone had the power to fix what was wrong if he simply listened to what these women & Bae wanted from him instead of ignoring them.

ParticipantMilah’s leaving him only confirmed to him how worthless and unloveable he was.
Except Belle is not Milah and she’s not Cora. Belle was never going to make the same decisions that both Milah and Cora did. All Belle wanted was him; just him. Belle was never going to choose a better life or make power a bigger priority than him, (which is what both Milah and Cora, did). That stuff never mattered to her. All she cared about was him.
I’ve said it before but I’ll say it again. It isn’t that Rumple is difficult to love; it’s that he makes it difficult for other people to love him. There’s a big difference there. The difference is that he keeps on putting up these barriers/creating complications, to make it harder for other people to love him. Rumple is his own worst enemy because he is often the source of most every major complication in a relationship he is involved in.
It was this way with Milah, Baelfire and now with Belle.

ParticipantProbably through that magical door. He’s used it twice to travel between realms. He used for Ingrid and he also used it for Isaac.
