ParticipantI love Once Upon a Time for giving us the most beautiful, talented and sweetest cast ever. I love all the friendships and bonds that everyone has with each other outside of the show.

ParticipantI love Once Upon a Time because it gives us the prequel and the sequel to stories we’re familiar with and more in depth character analysis of why villains become villains. It makes the characters more relatable.

I know it’s not a very clear pic but it’s supposed to be Elizabeth Mitchell filming a scene with Abby Ross (teen Emma).

ParticipantOne of the girls on the Captain Swan podcast said awhile back that they didn’t want Snow to be Team Captain Hook by default and after watching the episode last night, I kinda feel the same way.
Don’t get me wrong, I want Snow to like Hook; I do but she was this way with Neal too without even bothering to get to know him or even have a conversation with him.
Charming at least has had many chances to get to know Hook through them working together (Good Form, White Out), and realize, underneath all that leather and guyliner, there’s a gentleman and a hero. Hook is more complex than your average pirate.
I want Snow to actively make an effort to get to know Hook and come to genuinely like him. I hope Adam and Eddy make a conscious effort to show Snow taking an interest in Hook (not romantically of course) but as a friend.
I do think now after watching the episode that Snow is Team Happiness for Emma and it doesn’t really matter who Emma is with as long as she’s happy; which is a good stance to take. I ‘ship Emma with happiness too but I want more than that from Snow. Hook needs to be accepted and cared about by all of the Charming family.

ParticipantI think this season is going to focus on the flawed nature of our villains, and show us that redemption is not as easy as it looks.
I agree. I think the writers are trying to show that being a hero isn’t easy, it’s a day to day thing, not just “whenever a crisis happens.” The villains often mock the heroes are being too pure or too good or idiots. But now they are discovering that being a hero isn’t actually all that easy.
I agree.
There was a saying from season one, if true love was easy, we’d all have it. Switch that around, if being a hero and good was easy, you wouldn’t need redemption.

ParticipantI love Once Upon a Time because of Emma and her story.

ParticipantI’m wondering something. Could the apprentice have lied about his identity and he’s the sorcerer?

ParticipantAnd honestly, when did Snow or Regina find the time to do all that work?
I guess laywork could have been done in the EF after everyone returned in New York Serenade, but that’s a lot of work for two people.

ParticipantOne of my favorite blogs to follow on tumblr is whyweloveonceuponatime.
No negative talk or criticism, just positive reasons why we love this show. It can be something to something really small.
It would be neat if we had a thread solely devoted to what we love about the show.

ParticipantAccording to David, the name Sarah Fisher–the name the Snow Queen is using– does not appear in the censuses for either curse, meaning she came into SB another way.
I love the fact that there are town censuses for both curses.
