Once Upon A Time opened 33% higher than a year ago to deliver the series’ highest rating in 2 years
“Once Upon A Time” equaled its highest rating in 2 years – since 9/30/12. In addition, the ABC drama was up from its year ago opener by 33% in Adults 18-49(2.6 on 9/29/13).
I mean look at the scene in the last episode…I love Rumple but why was he such a jerk towards Hook? Making a big deal about how he COULD destroy the cave but it would also destroy his girlfriend???
Relationships aside, Emma is the mother of Rumple’s grandson. How would Henry feel if he knew that Rumple did nothing to try and help and save his mother? And knowing that Rumple and Henry will be bonding this season, will that come up again?
I actually wonder if they are working toward having Hook and Rumple ultimately bond in some way.
I have a sneaking feeling that we’re heading that way this season. What else is there for Rumple and Hook to fight over at this point? Hook let go of his vengeance, so that’s not between them anymore. If anything, I think Hook will be the one to help Rumple realize that the way he is treating Belle right now is wrong and wouldn’t that be something? The pirate and the Dark One’s rival ends up being conscious.
Rumple will destroy his own happiness, Hook really doesn’t need to do much. Rumple swapped the dagger but he’s still lying to Belle and Adam and Eddy said at NYCC. Rumple is still self-serving and he’s still Everything you see him do will show that he’s in it for himself.
Until Rumple can let go of that selfishness, he’s never really going to have a happy ending with Belle. I feel sorry for Belle, to be honest. She trusts him and has such unwavering faith in him but Rumple continually does these things that sabotage his happy ending.

I really don’t understand how haters can still hate Hook after 4×02. I mean, what he said to Charming and how he behaved when Emma’s life was in danger, proved he truly loves Emma and doesn’t see her a conquest or a flirtation. He has genuine feelings for her.
I mean, the way he hugged in the loft and the way he looks at her…how can you question his feelings for her? How can people still hate him for loving Emma so unconditionally?I’ve ‘shipped a lot but Captain Swan is honestly, the most beautiful love story ever. Hook is everything Emma needs in a true love and he was always meant to fall in love with her and I have to believe that Adam and Eddy always wanted to bring him onto the show for one purpose: making him Emma’s true love. They couldn’t get the rights for him in season one, so they had to wait until they did.
And knowing this season’s theme is that you don’t give up on the people that you love and this is what the Charming family does, Hook fits in quite perfectly there because Hook has never given up on the people that he loves. He fights for them.
And you know, it has to be said but Neal admitted to Mulan that he did give up on Emma. He took the easy way and did not even look for her after the curse was broken. He gave up on trying to reconcile because his fear got in the way. It was implied that the reason Neal asked August to send him a post card to him once the curse was broken, was that he intended to go after Emma but he didn’t. He even moved on from Emma and found love with Tamara. And true loves can’t move on from each other and yet, Neal moved on from Emma and also gave up on her as well.
And Hook couldn’t move on from Emma in the Enchanted Forest during the lost, he stayed loyal to her and Hook didn’t give on finding a way to rescue her from the ice cave. Hook is the man Emma deserves, someone who will not give up on her and will continue to fight for her no matter what, even in incredibly futile circumstances.
I know we’re not talking about true love yet but Emma and Hook are definitely on their way to becoming true love. It’s coming (probably in the 4B finale, or going into it).
