ParticipantThe problem with her saving Marian’s life is that we also saw her tell Sidney that she had to get rid of Marian in a way that cast no suspicion on her. So saving Marian’s life…could be a way to give her an alibi later. (You know, like giving Belle the fake dagger gave Rumple an alibi later…) So even some of the good stuff she has done is shaded over with suspicion for the audience now.
I have thought of this.

ParticipantAnd yeah, I’ve seen a variety of disturbing comments like that. It’s like some people just can’t separate actors and characters (I see that a lot on Twitter). And it usually comes across as an unpleasant combination of rude and creepy.

I don’t know where people think or get this idea that they can dictate the story of a show that isn’t even their baby. It’s ridiculous.
Do you know if all shows on television worked that, no one would watch because story and characters would be jumping all over the place, it would be one huge mess.
I’ve had very few problems with Adam and Eddy’s writing. Except for the weaker episodes (Selfless, Brave and True mostly). But you know, at the end of the day, Once is their fanfiction and they’re going to write it how they want to write it.
As a writer myself, I would feel annoyed if someone told me how to write my story. Which is why I like to write everything out and make sure it’s all perfect and flawless before posting online. Comments on, ‘I like this’ are fine but don’t try to dictate me how to write my story.
I definitely empathize with A&E and the bullying thing, I’ve been bullied too and it really is not a nice experience. Bullying nowadays is so much worse than playground bullying because people can hide their faces behind a username and think that their words don’t hurt the other person. But they do. I think Jen’s open Facebook letter when she was at Monaco is proof of that.
Jen and I are both April babies and I have a sneaking feeling after she read all those nasty comments, probably cried for a good 30 minutes or something before posting that response. I get very emotional when I’m furiously mad about something.

Rumple (very hesitantly) and shrugs: It’s a gradual experience.obisgirl
ParticipantI’m really not sure how much gender is a factor here in the Hook hate. Swan Queen fans hate him because he’s with Emma, Swan Fire hate him because he’s with Emma. If Emma was a lesbian and with a woman, I don’t know, I feel like the hate would be equal because Emma’s with someone who isn’t their favorite. I could be wrong, maybe it would be less because Once would be showing LGBT love story. I don’t know.
I know Adam and Eddy say that they’re waiting for the right time to bring in a LGBT character but I know for sure that they are not going to touch the original traditional fairytale characters and make them lesbian or gay. It’s just not going to happen. But they could with a lesser known fairytale character. I feel like that’s the route that they would go because it would be safe.

ParticipantJust thought of another reason why Rumple wouldn’t help Hook and Charming- If Rumple solves every problem on the show easily, it takes any dramatic suspense out of the problem.
True, Price. But you know, his solutions to things are interesting. I still want to know how he managed to have a vile of Regina’s tears in his possession. I know he trained Regina to use magic but I don’t remember a scene where he sat around with a bottle as she cried and cried.

ParticipantThe funny thing about the haters, as someone pointed out on the CS podcast is that the haters can’t seem to decide what kind of person Hook should be. Haters hated him when he was the villain (although, an incredibly lousy villain when compared to Regina and Rumple) but now, that he’s a hero, they hate still hate him. Even though he’s the hero.
I think what it all comes down to is who Hook is currently with: Emma.
And the amount of hate Jen gets on twitter on a daily basis for ‘shipping CS and being happy for her character, is truly disgusting.
I’ll take the tea incident because that’s the most recent as well as the most ridiculous fight ever. People were getting upset on twitter because Jen made a comment that she wanted to buy a Captain Swan flavored tea. I’m like, really? You’re getting bent out of shape over a tea blend? On a site where you can make your own tea blend?
One of the nastier comments I read was that someone hoped Hook would give Emma an STD. You don’t make snide or joking remarks like that, even when it’s about a fictional character. It’s really poor taste.

ParticipantThe hat steals magic. I have no idea what that means for this arc. Are they going to put the hat on The Snow Queen and suck her magic away? Also, the whole person goes in: well that will be entertaining…
Since we have characters like Elsa and Emma, who both are at odds with their magic and wish they didn’t have it, I’m worried what this hat could mean for them. I wouldn’t want to see either one of them lose their magic, or be trapped in a hat. Most likely, the hat will the the Snow Queen’s fate. The writer in me knows our heroes will be fine. I hope.
See, I can’t see them taking away Emma’s magic again. They did that once and then she got it back when she realized where home was…bit repetitive.
I agree, and it’s too repetitive too soon for it to happen again. But this is likely how the Snow Queen is taken care of at the end of the 4A arc.
