I get you on the TLK thing- When Emma kissed Graham, he got his memories back- so she broke the curse on him & yet there was no ‘whoosh of rainbow light’
I don’t think that was a true love’s kiss for a couple reasons. One, I don’t think it was a true love connection between Emma and Graham. I think it was as Henry said. If the huntsman hadn’t saved Snow, she wouldn’t have had Emma. I think they were connected in that way. Plus, I don’t think Emma was around Graham long enough to feel true love towards him. And there was no rainbow effect that happened.
Hook and Emma’s kiss in (A Curious Thing) is a bit more complicated because there was a rainbow effect that happened, but Adam and Eddy have said it wasn’t true love’s kiss. Okay, what is kissing though? It’s when one set of lips meets another pair. Same could be said for giving CPR, because you do you have to press your lips to the victim to help them live.
I know giving someone CPR isn’t technically kissing, but I think the way Zelena’s cursed worked, it wouldn’t have mattered one way or another. Emma touched her lips to Hook’s and therefore, her magic was removed. And I think the semi-rainbow effect that we saw was Emma’s magic leaving her body, not necessarily the breaking of a curse.
I hope that’s not too confusing for people and it makes sense.
I think when Hook and Emma actually do share true love’s kiss, we’ll be able to look back on that CPR moment and definitely be able to tell the difference.

My thoughts too. I’ll go a little farther and say this is the episode where Sydney says to Regina, “I’m done with you.” And he realizes that Regina doesn’t really love him and refuses to help her. I really want Sydney to have some kind of epiphany that Regina doesn’t love him.
I think if we get a TLK between Captain Swan this season, it’ll be a season finale thing, or a few episodes before it.
Winter finale still feels too soon for some reason, probably because the way time has passed in Storybrooke since Emma broke the curse (season 1 finale), it’s moved slower. We were only in Neverland for a week, then back in Storybrooke for about two days before Pan’s curse took effect and Emma and Henry had to leave.
So if that time pacing continues in season four, it’s too soon for a TLK in the winter finale. I’ve also noticed, true love’s kiss doesn’t happen a lot per season. In real-time anyway. I’d qualify Henry and Emma’s true love’s kiss in the season one finale as the only true love’s kiss that happened in real-time that season.
But who knows, we might have two? 😉 Outlaw Queen has to share a TLK kiss together at some point in order to solidify that they are indeed more than soulmates. But Robin needs to be cursed somehow.
And if the spoiler-speculation is right about Killian’shand being cursed TLK might break that curse. Or maybe he gets frozen somehow and only TLK can thaw him out. Han Solo was frozen in carbonite and Princess freed him from that and CS have already have been compared to Han & Leia, and Adam and Eddy are big Star Wars fans.

I’ve been wondering for awhile now whenever I log in to the forums here and I see their page count compared to ours and I wonder, seriously, what could they be possibly talking about to have a higher page count than ours? It couldn’t be ‘where did we go wrong? How we could not see what was going on? Regarding the direction of their ‘ship and Neal in general.
But they’re talking about stuff not even related to their ‘ship. I mean really, if you want to chat about non ‘shippy stuff not related to your ‘ship, why not create an off topic thread for that? I mean we have an off topic for for this stuff.
I’m just going off what you’ve said. But exactly, shock horror we are watching in the way the writers intended. My god, how dare we??? How dare we enjoy a show the way it was inteded to be enjoyed.
I really try and not get involved with what other ‘ships think of the show. But yeah, I understand the aggravation, especially when those haters attack Jen or Adam on Twitter.

I wouldn’t worry. If you watched Wonderland, Will already has a verified true love. In fact, he and his true love were the only couple to share true love’s kiss. Probably because he needed it more.
I think what we will get is classic Will snark and banter between Hook and Will but no love triangle. I think the only love triangle we will get next season will be Outlaw Queen. Because Regina needs to be tested if she is worthy of a happy ending.
I think I mentioned before how much I hated how the writers have written Snow’s character this past season.
She seriously needs to be taken down more than a notch.
On that article, I think the writer threw it in there to cause trouble. I think Gold knows that Hook has no romantic designs on Belle or any other female. Emma is it for him.
Adam, especially Eddy likes to be a troll when it comes to spoilers. Adam is no spoilers policy but Eddy is totally different. He’ll spill and then add something to create tension or drama.
Even though I wrote any annoyed response on tumblr, I’m not really worried.

I’ve been waiting and waiting for this meta, Obisgirl!! With all of the work you’ve put in it, and the general agreement we seem to have regarding our couple, I imagine it’s going to be fantastic!
I hope people like it. I’m really trying to do this in a way that doesn’t stomp over other people’s ‘ships. I’m still smoothing out parts. General writing is done but editing is a long process.
One of our lovely mods is providing me with excellent feedback.
But nothing will really be posted until we get confirmed true love from Captain Swan. But even then I’m not sure it will be posted since it covers love in general as well.

If you look into Sternberg’s triangular theory of love( google it if you like), you’ll see that Emma & Killian are at least on the road towards consummate love ( intimacy+ passion+comitment).
You don’t know this but I’m working on this monster of a meta based on true love and love in general on Once. My goal with it is to really explore ALL kinds of love on the show we love. I started writing it October 2013 and have researched quite a bit on different types of love but this is the first time I’ve heard about this theory.
But my ‘secret’ over all thesis for the meta is to show that Emma and Killian are true love.

I’ve read a lot of insightful Emma Swan and Captain Swan metas but that meta you just posted @surayya is by far, the best I’ve ever read and hits on all the important points we’ve been saying all along. And kudos for Jen for not only brilliantly playing the part but taking the time to understand where Emma is coming from by researching what these kids go through.
That’s why whenever Jen gives an interview about her character, I sit back and listen because she usually tends to be right and spot on 100% of the time.
I don’t think a lot of SwanFire understand Emma’s abandonment issues and tend to ignore them to make their ‘ship have a happily ever after. But you can’t ‘ship a ‘ship that way.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, when you ‘ship a couple together, you have to care about both characters. We understood from the get-go that Emma wasn’t going to go back to Neal because he did abandon her and that love couldn’t resume. And Jen’s said so herself that as much as she understands why Neal left her, it doesn’t erase the pain she went through. And Jen gets attacked by her so-called fans whenever she says something contrary to their head canons. But it’s not contrary. It’s the truth.
And if Hook had abandoned her, left her it would reinforced those issues that she isn’t worthy of love and no one can love her.
Seriously, is it any wonder that Emma Swan stans are Captain Swan ‘shippers? And most other Emma Swan ‘ships tend to lean towards the other character than what’s good for her? And we were called the delusional ones when in fact, we’ve been right on almost every major issue when it comes to Emma?
I love that meta so much. It came across my tumblr dash a few months ago and I reblogged and tagged it. Like I truly think everyone should read it. It might cause a light bulb to go off.
