From the spoilers I’ve been reading (from comic con) that seems to be the case.captain swan’s issues next season will be more internal than external. Emma’s walls aren’t going to disappear overnight and Hook will be fighting to be someone worthy of Emma’s love. I haven’t read a spoiler that Henry will have an issue with Emma and Hook being together. which is great.
And if Hook leaving her in the jail bothered her more, we’d hear about it. Jen would say so in interviews. Has she said so? Nope.
Has she talked about Neal leaving her and how that affected her? Yes. Plenty of times.
Emma realizes her mistake in leaving Hook behind. She knows she made a bad judgement call. If she hadn’t left Hook, he wouldn’t have been with Cora.
Its either Adam or Eddy who says this on the finale commentary, but the guys pretty much confirm that Hook reminded her of Neal and Emma could see herself falling for Hook, which is why she left Hook behind on the beanstalk in Tallahassee.
I would be in fangirl heaven if Colin and Michael have a scene together. The Knave and Hook. If they have any line together, it needs to be “Bloody hell.”
Whilst both Neal AND Hook left Emma in a cell, I think Neal’s actions hurt Emma more because she loved him and trusted him whereas with Hook at that point in time, she kind of expected it since she left him at the top of the beanstalk and she wasn’t emotionally close to him.
I agree. And you know what hurts more in the long run? Someone you love who betrays you or someone you just met? I’d say someone you loved.
As for comparing Hook and Regina’s apology, I’d say Hook’s is more sincere. He doesn’t apologize often and likes to rely on his actions to show people that he’s changed than simply say he has. In his case, actions speak more than words. A person can say they’re sorry for hurting you but if actions don’t back-up that they aren’t sorry, saying sorry is meaningless. Regina still has a long way to go before she can truly be redeemed. Regina needed something from Belle and used the “the Wicked Witch is holding your boyfriend’ captive card to get her to help.
I came across a short meta a few days about redemption. It presents some interesting questions in regard to the redemption arcs.
