ParticipantBless you, @TheGoldenKey for that entire post. And you too @priceofmagic 🙂

ParticipantI think at this stage of the game, for the writers to turn around and say the land without magic is not our world is too much.
Yup, I agree. I’m fine with there being a fictional Victorian or a 1920’s London stuck in time. Don’t need to add our world as another realm within itself or something.
I thought the pilot stated that Regina cursed everyone which brought them to OUR world?
Plus, I got the screencap here.

ParticipantOMG, the detail on 1920’s Cruella’s headband — another BIG WOW!!! And her hair..she looks so pretty.

ParticipantI said this back when this was a spoiler, but I’ll say it again. I do genuinely believe that they planned on this Marian=Zelena plot twist since the end of Season 3. Many fans thought just the way Zelena “died” last Season was off, and plenty did suspect Marian not being the real Marian even back then. If they wanted Zelena dead for good, why not just have Rumple crush her heart like he typically does to his other victims? I think the writers still wanted more to do with the character, and didn’t want to just end things there and then. Does that mean the execution wasn’t sloppy? Certainly not the case. It’s clear they had this Marian returning subplot as merely an obstacle for Outlaw Queen, but they always needed a way out.
You’re not wrong.
I found tweets!
@jollyrogerescue Sunday's ep was discussed last summer. Conceived in November. Outlined in December. Written in January. Filmed in Jan

@coalitiongirl @ev_soul the ideas for the second half of this season were discussed as far back as over a year ago.

@EthanDelmas @SwenLifeX it was planned.

Zelena was a plot device to fix the failed plot device. Â I think Adam and Eddy knew after the season three finale, many did not like what they were doing and thought of Zelena and bringing her back to fix the problem that they created in the finale.
I enjoyed Zelena’s scenes. Rebecca plays crazy so well. She doesn’t work as a 1/2 arc villain, but if I get bits and pieces of crazy Zelena now and then, honestly, I don’t mind. Rebecca and Zelena are awesome.

ParticipantHer playing Angry Birds was great
That was squeal worthy good.
In a drama-tense filled episode, I loved that moment so much. Â Isaac’s authoring skills are so powerful that Cruella couldn’t even kill fake birds in a video game. Lol.
Plus, her sass was just awesome, every episode. I wish we kept her around longer but I appreciate, she was evil for the sake of being evil. Â It’s just what she loved. I also feel like there’s more layers to her story and especially her mom than what we saw.

ParticipantHowever, if Neverland exists outside of time, then it’s possible that Barrie’s writing actually created the Neverland we know. Or just by getting people to believe in Neverland through his play, actually created the Neverland outside of time.
I hope that makes sense.
Okay, I’ll buy that. Our imagination in the real world created Neverland, the Enchanted Forest. — But we didn’t know it happened. And then at some point, our creations took on a life of its own.

ParticipantHeroes did this thing where they would release online graphic novels to run con-currently with the episodes that premiered every week. OUAT does a good job with the graphic novels, but they don’t run parallel to the show. We didn’t get our first graphic novel until a year after season one (if I’m remembering correctly) and by then season two was already staring.
I feel like if Once followed the online graphic novel model that Heroes used, we’d have fewer plot related questions. Because the short online story would answer them, or at least try to.

ParticipantAlso, Adam and Eddy kept on saying about Neverland, because you never grow old, you don’t have a future. The only thing you have is dealing with your past. And we saw multiple characters in Neverland deal with their past in different ways during that arc.
