ParticipantHmm…I like that idea that NL caused Neal and Hook to revert to their teenage/childish selves! Definitely would help me digest the lighter scene a little easier *shudders*. In all seriousness though, that would have been an extremely interesting concept for the NL arc – what if NL did somehow cause you to revert? How would the characters handle that while also attempting to save Henry?
Jen gave an interview at the beginning of the season after we were three episodes into 3a. I can’t remember all of it but I remember she said Neverland brought out “raw, violent emotions in everyone.”
Found it!
“Neverland makes it so you can’t really have your guard up, you return to your feelings of your childhood so everyone’s operating out of a more raw place. We’re all much more emotional, volatile and intense.” – JMo on Good Morning America

ParticipantBravo @Myril for that whole post. It was seriously the most sensible and well written meta I have read on this thread.
Bless you for writing it!

ParticipantMy dad’s British and I could have asked him but googled it instead too.
I agree about Hook. He’s always been upfront about his intentions for Emma in 3A. And he didn’t maneuver himself into her life using trickery, to get her to love him. He waited until she was ready to come to him and that’s exactly what she did in the finale.

ParticipantHe was also saying that he wanted to become a man worthy of her love. And he did. Killian wanted to be become better for himself too, but his motivation was Emma’s love.

ParticipantIf Regina were to stumble again (a la Rumple killing Zelena) what would you think of that?
I’d be disappointed. I want to see her redeemed but this flip-flopping “I’m good now, but next week I’m bad” has to stop. That was Regina in season two and it was it infuriating. I don’t want to see her become corrupted again and her heart darkens. I think she’s made great strides as a character, selflessly trying to be good without asking for anything from anyone.
I understand the ‘wildcard theory’ too but it seems that Adam and Eddie have enough villains coming on per 11 episodes that they don’t need Regina to be the villain every season.
I think ultimately, I want the writers to decide what they want to do with Regina’s character: do they want her redeemed, or evil, or a little of both?

ParticipantI feel like this can probably escalate into some VERY nasty territory and it’s totally veering away from RG original question.
So, I’m going to say this only once and one time only:
No character on his show — good or bad is perfect. Even the good characters sometimes make or have made bad decisions, (I’m not naming names because that’s a whole other discussion). And there are characters, bad characters who felt like they were justified in making decisions that they viewed as good but were actually bad.
Can we move onto a different topic please?

ParticipantI’m curious what other original cast members might come back but if it’s only Jack Coleman, I’m fine with that.

ParticipantI agree with @Price 🙂
Regina definitely was not a good queen. She abused her power in her quest to kill Snow White, ordering the slaughter of innocents in the name of vengeance. That is not a good queen at all.
As far as regular duties like taxes and what not, we have no idea either how she handled these things because we never got a scene of her dealing with these issues. A majority of her reign was focused on killing Snow White as soon as Leopold died.

ParticipantWhat is the future of Snow and Regina?
I hope they continue to be friends. They’re still family of course but I think their story going forward will be that of friendship. It was huge how Regina protected Snow after her ghost mom. And the conversations they had in the same episode were so lovely.
There’s too much pain between both of them where the issue of family is concerned to go back to being their respective roles as step mom and step daughter but being friends I think is easier. It’s a fresh start. And they need that.

ParticipantBut I find incredibly hard to believe that they trump the love and devotion he had to his wife/mother of his child, after only a week at most.
I don’t view Outlaw Queen as happening too fast, especially when you consider that they had a history before they even met. Regina knew about him LONG before she enacted the curse and there’s the bits we saw in the Enchanted Forest during the lost year (their snarky banter). Anyway, I think it’s too restricting to put a time limit of sorts and call a relationship happening too fast.
Honestly I’ve seen faster hook-ups happen on my soaps, which tend to jump from one storyline to another within the span of a few episodes.
