I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: it really is not awful to have more than male figure in your life growing up. I love my dad but when you ask me how I define family – I’m going to include more than simply my parents and brother. Because I’m close with a lot of my extended family that includes my cousins, aunts and uncles. The cousins I’m close to in the states are all male, the female ones live in the Philiipines but I have the cutest 3 yr old niece to make up for that.
Frankly, I’m not really worried about Henry. He’s matured a lot since we first met him and mellowed out some I think. Plus, he not only has Charming but Rumple as his granfathers and I’m sure if Henry wanted to know about his dad as a child, Rumple would tell him. He also has Robin Hood and now Killian too and two moms who love him so much- and did I mention how Henry’s mellowed out since we met him?

I think Henry acting out when it comes to Hook is taking the easy road. It’s the story we always see – the struggle to make a blended family work. However, what I’d like to see is Hook and Henry to continue to bond, and primarily over Neal as opposed to Emma. I’d like to see Henry get to ‘know’ his father through both Hook and Rumple – his father isn’t there to help him grow into adulthood but those that loved Nealfire as a child can and should step up and help Henry become the man they believe his father would want him to be. I think that’s a far more compelling story. I’d also like to see Emma learn more about Neal through Hook and Rumple’s eyes. To me, it keeps Neal’s memory alive and allows the characters involved with him move on.

I am in desperate need of another love day. This fandom sickens me in general. JMo shouldn’t have felt that she needed to write a response to the haters. That still makes me upset.
I don’t know, I think Henry will be fine with it. He’s already fine with Robin Hood as one Mom’s boyfriend – and Regina’s the parent that’s been there the longest. Like you said, POM, Henry and Hook get along well – and I think Henry’s struggles in the past season have shown how much Henry has grown up. Unfortunately, ultimately, Henry didn’t know his father for very long, and even his 11 years of fake memories weren’t positive ones (though he knows they’re fake, like Emma, those memories can still imprint on Henry). I think Henry will mourn the relationship he could have had with Neal, but I don’t know that he’d take it out on Hook/CS.

I was reminded yesterday how nasty the ‘ships debate can get when it comes to Emma that haters feel the need to harras a wonderful human being like Jennifer Morrison on twitter so bad that she felt compelled to write a lengthy post on her Facebook to defend herself.
This is us the ugly side of ‘shipping that can understandably turn off people from the fandom and watching the show altogether.
The actors do not need to be involved in our petty ‘shipper wars and I’m seriously appalled by anyone who attacked Jen yesterday. Â Because she doesn’t deserve it and the fandom doesn’t deserve her either.
That’s what upsets me the most that fans cannot talk about a characters arc without turning it into something ugly.
Emma’s a great character who’s been through a lot but I can recognize that she’s a character and Jen is an actress who’s only doing her job.
What happened yesterday makes me sad and angry and really ashamed to be called a Oncer. I’ve been doing this ‘shipping thing for a long time but this is honestly the worst I’ve ever seen this degree of hate happen.
I like to be able to talk about Emma as a character but often times it’s nearly inpossible to separate the ‘ship side of her story because it’s shaped who she is as a person but the minute people attack JMo or anyone else on the cast, I just want to scream or cry or both because they don’t deserve it.
On a lighter note, that story that Jenna_B posted is really cute. Thanks for sharing! Overall I’m just really glad to have this little bubble of sanity.

I read over the much hated letter you all are talking about and I’m furious and sad that Jen felt she needed to defend comments she made in interview that in hindsight were not even offensive to begin with.
What I hope doesn’t happen going forward is that actors from the show feel like they have to censor themselves to try not make everyone angry.
I’ve always said that Twitter is a privalage and it is. Jen could seriously do what Meghan Ory did and decide enough is enough and shut down her twitter account because it isn’t worth it dealing with the haters.
I don’t need to make myself anymore stressed over this. And Jen shouldn’t be either.
