Anyway, after Neal die, there was a twitter photo of the cast laughing while filming the funeral and she was angry that anyone would laugh or enjoy their job because Neal had died. She felt it was disrespectful to Neal and his fans. Another poster set her straight — No one really died. Neal is a fictional character and expecting the other actors to mourn a fictional character in real life was not reasonable expectation. A lot of poster upvoted the response.
I know exactly what photo too; that was the traveling jersey wasn’t it? Because that would have been the time they were filming the funeral scene.
I can recall only one time I cried over a character death and it always happens watching the same episode. “The Body” from Buffy: The Vampire Slayer. Curtain points hit me the hardest but I think it’s everyone’s performance in the episode, which is just spectacular.
But seriously though, the actor, MRJ is still around. He didn’t die; only his character. Quiet Minds was an emotional episode, I get that but it’s not like we’ll never see the actor again. Adam and Eddie like to get back Jamie Dornan when he is available (and they wanted him to appear in the finale; I suspect probably filling Red’s role in the EF).
If SF actually paid attention to where the story was going instead of watching the show in denial mode, there would probably be fewer problems now.
I’ve been listening to Let’s Talk TV and I love the host but she was so off when it came to Hook’s characterization. She said that she thought Hook would revert to his old ways and take Emma forcefully and I just laughed.
Sorry folks but Killian isn’t a villain anymore; now, we have the villain of the season. Notice how he’s the only one in the finale who didn’t have his happy ending taken away, or who’s happy ending was jaded? Gold has his big fat lie to deal with and Marian came back, putting the brakes on Outlaw Queen going forward.

What I don’t understand with these Neal fans, is if they’re still miserable watching the show- why are they still watching?
I would never force myself to watch something I’m not happy watching. Although, even the writer in me wants to know how the story ends.
I go back to the Buffy example. I watched the series from beginning to end. I never missed an episode. There were hit or miss episodes, things I wish didn’t happen but it didn’t stop my enjoyment watching. I still love the series.
There’s rarely logic involved when it comes to hate. You’re right about the fan pandering too.
Everyone wants to see their favorites. I remember after Quiet Minds aired seeing a petition to bring back Neal and I didn’t want to say it then, but putting that kind if thing out there is the definition of fan service. Because Adam and Eddie would be catering to Neal and SwanFire fans which would be hypocritical when most consider Captain Swan fan service.
But a case could be made that rumbelle is fan service as well because Emilie when she debuted, was probably only meant to be a one time appearance. But the fans loved her interpretation of Belle and rumbelle exploded over night.
We seriously got lucky that Americana was not picked up. If it was, rumbelle wouldn’t be what it is. Adam and Eddie definatly catered to the fans when it came to rumbelle (in the beginning).
I saw earlier in chat, a few people complaining about CS shippers making false tags or something on tumbler- I hope they arent, the only thing worse is the hateHook, killhook, killCS, splitEmma&Hook hash tags I’m seeing on twitter by the septic shipper
I have not seen anything like that in tumblr. I did see that there was a twitter attempt to tweet Adam #StopOnceaUponaHook, but there was also a counter twitter to that #ThankYouforOUAT.
I rarely spend a lot of time on twitter anymore unless there’s a convention (like Spooky Empire). I want to see those fan picture and videos. Basically I try to distance myself from the negative stuff as much as possible. I deal with enough crap in real life that I don’t need my fandom life to be just as miserable.

This is why this woman is my favorite OUAT writer when it comes to tweets. I think this is a valid point, especially in regard to Hook. Haters can hate all they want but it’ll never change canon: Hook was always meant to fall in love with Emma and he and Emma were always meant to have a more meaningful relationship in the long haul.
