ParticipantThat’s really beautiful @rumplegoldfan

ParticipantThank you for posting this thread, Sarah 🙂
Whoever dies, the one it’ll most affect is Emma and seriously, no one from any ‘ship should be happy about a death happening. Â Think of it this way, if someone close to you died in real life, I would want to console you over that loss. Â I know whoever dies is a fictional character but still…

ParticipantI accept that head canon too @surayya 🙂  We got the CS theme again tonight.  I really can’t wait for the 3rd volume of the OUAT soundtrack. It’ll be really nice to know the official name for that theme.  I was thinking originally, maybe it’s called Kindred Spirits but now, I’m thinking it would be better if it’s called The Pirate and the Princess.
FYI, Han and Leia’s theme is Han Solo and the Princess.

ParticipantHook’s idea of happiness is not being a so-called pirate. It’s not sailing the seas. It’s the same thing that Emma’s looking for – family. Home. A place to feel welcome and loved, and to love in return. Â
Exactly!
Thank you @tiara_rose! Emma’s primary love will always be Henry, not matter who else she choses to love. As for Hook’s wanderlust, that’s a non-issue because as long as this show is on the air, there will always be an adventure for them to follow.
Yes to this too! And like Snow said to Charming in The New Neverland:
If not her, there will be someone or something else. There will always be something else. We can’t let it define us. We have to find the good moments in between all of the bad ones.
We know that Emma was also never been able to settle down until she found Storybrooke and her family. There’s no reason why Hook can’t do the same.
Yes!

ParticipantThat laugh…Wow.
Wicked Witch’s laugh, Â I don’t know how to describe it but I hope we get to hear her Wicked laugh on the show.

ParticipantI don’t even see that as a big hinderance in the relationship. Â I think that’s why your unhappy comment confused me.
I think we’re going to see eventually, Hook’s home is going to be wherever Emma is. Â He will be wherever she is.
Snow views Charming much the same way. Â She didn’t have a real home until she met Charming.

I don’t know..Cora was very self assured. I think she knew that she could control Ana by keeping some things just out of reach. Plus, for Ana, Cora became a mother substitute–her own mother never loving her or showering her with praise. I think Ana would bend over backwards to appease Cora to keep her love.
True.

ParticipantI’d like to address a few things here:
I just wish Hook would apologize to Belle, once we see him do that or at least get some indication that he has done so, then I could like him even more.
The way I think about bad stuff that happens on this show, differentiating between what is and isn’t important — stuff that keeps being brought up within the show  = important.  Stuff that is only brought up by the fans and isn’t addressed within the show = not important.
I’m sure Hook feels some remorse for what he did to Belle but if Belle doesn’t linger on it or even ask Rumple to avenge her, means it is not a crucial thing that happened to Belle. Â And remember, the way Belle is, she doesn’t hold onto vendettas. Â Remember after Rumple found out that Regina had her locked up, Rumple wanted to go after Regina but that was not what Belle wanted.
I am beginning to wonder whether or not it is realistically possible for Neal and Emma to get back together romantically. Even though Neal left Emma for noble reasons, at the end of the day, Emma spent a great deal of her life feeling hurt over Neal’s betrayal. She spent a great deal of her life having trust issues because she didn’t want to leave herself open and vulnerable to that kind of hurt again. Although Emma now knows why Neal has left her and she has kind of forgiven him for it, that kind of hurt doesn’t go away. Emma can forgive but she can’t forget. There will always be that worry in the back of her mind that Neal will disappear on her again and this time Henry too. Neal is still disappearing on Emma, though it may not be through choice, but he is not consistently there for her.
.
Yes, I agree to all of this. Â I’ve always said, Hook is not the obstacle towards SwanFire working. The real obstacles are actually Emma (primarily her) but also Neal. Â It is true, you can forgive someone for doing wrong to you but you don’t ever forget that wrong. Heck, I’m even guilty of this in real life!
The main obstacle I have to shipping CS romantically is that both Emma and Hook want different things out of life. Emma wants to settle down with her family whilst Hook wants adventure. I can’t see Hook happy to settle down on dry land for the rest of his days, never to sail the sea on the JR again.
.
Emma wants to be with her family but she also craves stability too and I think ultimately, that’s also something Hook wants too.
I think only classifying Hook as a pirate only after adventure is a huge disservice to his character but that’s not why he became a pirate. Â He became a pirate because he lost his brother, because the king he worked for wasn’t true and honorable. Â Likewise, he became a villain because the love of his life was violently taken from him. But both times, he crossed over to the darkside because of the loss of love in his life. Â He didn’t become a pirate for adventure, he became a pirate out of necessity because he refused to serve a corrupt king.
It just seems one of those major issues where, although Emma and Hook may get on great with each other, one person is going to end up unhappy.
I strongly disagree. Â I think Hook’s proven that Hook will do whatever is necessary for Emma. Â He will fight for her goals, her needs, her happiness even if he doesn’t think it’s with him. Â Hook puts Emma first in a way that Neal never really did.
Do you mean Hook being with Emma will make him unhappy because domestic life will take him away from his pirating ways? I don’t really think so. Â He is who he is but I think Emma sees now, that he’s more than a pirate and he is a good man. Â I don’t think she expects him to give up his pirate life for her but seriously, who knows? The thing about Hook, the one he doesn’t want is to be alone.
Charming gave up the good life he could have had in order to be with Snow.

Participant@captaineala ‘s back!! I understand about the chat. It can get nasty in there. Â I mostly ignore the chat nowadays, to help keep myself sane.
Regarding the death coming…I’ve always said depending on how it’s done and handled, the aftermath may not be so horrible. There’s a lot of Neal fans here, so I imagine maybe there might be some denial at first but eventual acceptance. Â Neal’s not my favorite character, mostly because of his treatment of Emma. But the weird thing about me, even the characters I generally hate, I still care whether the character has had proper character development. Â That was my whole issue with the Pinocchio re-boot. So, I’m hoping before Neal dies, he gets some decent character development and admit that jail wasn’t the right thing to do, for Emma. I seriously need to hear him say that jail was unnecessary and he could have found better ways to get Emma home..
