I agree.
I do like that she ties Rumple, Neal and Hook together – those connections, how they formed and why they are the way they are now are by far the more interesting stories.
Yes, I love this too. She is a sore spot but her name does provide interesting narrative when it’s relevant to the story.

Well, this is disappointing. It would have made sense of Robin taught Snow some of her bandit skills. It would explain this line from Snow to Regina in The Evil Queen.

She’s not really a truly fleshed out character on the show. We’ve only had two episodes with her, both in Rumple’s backstory. I used to think, it would be nice to know a little more about her in the show but I’m not sure it would be relevant now to the story.
I actually would not even consider Milah a villain since we know so little about her. She’s more plot device than anything. In the Crocodile, she was the tension builder between Rumple and Hook. Her death is what moved Hook towards his vengeance.
In Manhattan, the purpose was to show why the marriage between Rumple and Milah deteriorated as such. But even that, wasn’t done well because we saw more Rumple’s side of the story than what Milah went through when he was gone.
She’s also an incredibly trope-y character as well.
What happens if Belle tries to save Gold, tries to persuade him that he doesn’t have to be controlled, that he can choose love – and the WW, in anger, insists that Gold kill Belle.
As soon as I read that, I seriously started making noises that sounded like a depressed little puppy.
They tried to do Wonder Woman a few years ago and then there were so many negative comments on the pilot they shelved it. 2011 Wonder Woma We can hope though maybe someday they’ll find an approach that works!
I know about the 2011 remake. Why David E. Kelley was chosen for that, I’ll never understand. But Amazon could be great if it was just given a chance. She is going to be appear in three movies coming up, so hopefully, attitude will change for the TV show after that happens.
There’s also the storytelling game called Once Upon a Time (no relation to the show, it’s just called that). I did however find the other day, there’s a pirate edition of that game.
