ParticipantWant to try and answer some of those questions @Obisgirl posted 1. What would happen if the author didn’t manipulate the story? I really need to believe that there is still free will in this show. As much as I hated what the Charmings did, I want to believe that they did it (for silly, stupid, selfish, human, parental reasons) of their own accord. Because if the heroes can be forced to do bad, then so can the villains and I don’t want this show to suddenly erase all the bad the villains did do in the past. Quote
I totally agree.

ParticipantI thought she was poor in the movie, the cartoon film.

ParticipantOMG @RumplesGirl, you totally solved the puzzle. That’s Cruella’s backstory and it lines up with the cartoon Cruella, who was poor and only wanted the Dalmatians to make a fur coat and get rich quick.
And if that is definitely the case, Cruella and Cora would have a lot to talk about. Cora made the same choice too, power over love.

ParticipantHis “dark history” is probably that he was a thief, stealing from the rich to give to the poor. That’s not dark. That’s…off white
Actually, his “dark history” is probably that time period he alluded to, where he was stealing for himself, rather than stealing to give to the poor.
That seriously does not even compare to Regina ordering her dark knights to massacre an entire village.

ParticipantI’m thinking that’s it too. That’s why he messes with everyone’s story.

ParticipantI don’t know what these little things are but they’re so incredibly cute. I used to collect a lot of keychains (it fills a shoebox now), and I haven’t really done that a lot recently but I want one of these little guys.

ParticipantEither the Author and Cruella are brother and sister, or the Author used to be in love with Cruella but she broke his heart.

ParticipantEvery time I read an article relating to Robin’s dark background, I just laugh. Because really, not all the villain’s backstories are as dark as Adam and Eddy think they are. I’m thinking the same will probably be true for Robin, even though he is a hero.
Plus, seriously, his history cannot be as dark as Regina’s. Not even possible. It’s Robin Hood we’re talking about.

ParticipantThoughts? What do you think the Author’s motivations are?
What if the Author just got bored out of his mind? He was basically a glorified clerk whose sole task in life was to be a record-keeper.
With this show though where almost every villain’s motivation is rooted in love? I would be shocked now if Adam and Eddy suddenly decided to deviate from that course and make it something else. I think the reason why he does what he does is related to love, one way or another. What kind of love though? We don’t know yet, but whatever it is, it’s going in my true love meta.
