This will never stop being funny. Of all the super cracktastic theories we’ve come up with over the years–Baeliccho the Wizard of Neverland, Undead Milah Mermaid, TinkerMomma–and FlyingMonkeyMan wins.

    Flying Monkey Man, LOL!!!

I love the tiny spoilers we’ve been getting for New York Serenade.

Alright here we go: official headcanon. Cyrus was not exactly a nice momma’s boy back in the day. He was a romantic hearthrob who cared more about himself than anything else. Until his mother, Amara, lay dying. Then he snapped into action. Somehow he got a wish from a genie and he wished his mother would live. All magic comes with a price. Amara lived (immortal) but Cyrus was doomed to a life in the bottle as the new Genie. He was cast far across the realms and forced to serve his masters. This also helped temper his “bad boy” attitude and make him the kind and sweet guy Alice falls for. Amara, meanwhile, uses her immortality to learn of a way to break the laws of magic and free her son from his prison. Enter Jafar. But what she fails to understand is how far Jafar will go to to get what he wants. Snakey snake snake time, and Cyrus’s compass stops working and he thinks his mother has finally died somehow.

    Head canon accepted!

    Monkey.

    Wow.

Obviously, Emma has a connection to Neal — she spent an incredible time in her life with him. And Hook has proven himself to be someone who’s helping and has truly changed. But from an acting perspective, I have really strong feelings about not judging my characters’ choices — in any role that I take on. If I were playing a serial killer, I would have to figure out a way to love that person and [discover] what motivated her. No one walks around trying to be terrible!

Best answer ever. It’s not up to her or us. It’s up to A and E.

I wish the entire fandom had this attitude about Emma’s love life. I love JMo and her answers, whenever she addresses the ‘shippy stuff.

Not everyone is going to be happy obviously, but it’s really not up to her to decide who Emma ends up with.  This is Adam and Eddie’s fanfiction and they’re going to write it how they want to. No fan service going on.

I love that JMo keeps mentioning that Hook’s helping and look, she said the magic words about him, that he’s ‘truly changed.’ I think that pretty much confirms that Hook’s done with the being the villain, doesn’t it?

LOL not for the people who dislike him unfortunately

The haters are going to continue to see what they want to see but he’s done being the villain.  He gave up his revenge for two people, for Bae and for Emma.  The only way he would revert to his dark self is if something bad happened to Emma.  But he has no reason now to go back on his revenge or being a villain.

I don’t think he was happy in that life anymore.

And what those haters probably hate is season two Hook and the truth is, he’s not season two Hook anymore. He’s moved on from that.  He’s the best version of himself now, Killian Jones, not the villain Hook.  But I guess, for the haters who are mostly SF fans, it’s easier to see him that way rather than a extremely viable suitor for Emma.  Because season one Emma wouldn’t villain Hook, but again, the Emma we have now isn’t season one Emma either.

I bet she was too much of a coward to leave her married life and run away with the pirate, so she devised a plan to get rid of her husband, by having her pirate friend propose a “fair duel” and killing her useless husband. (well, he WAS useless to her. he wasn’t able to bring customers anymore because now he was branded The Coward) she didn’t want to become the village tramp, she wanted a clean getaway.

I wrote a fanfic about this, that Milah was hiding below deck somewhere when Rumple arrived and the duel happened.  Milah was listening to what was going the whole time, to see how Rumple would react to her leaving and see if he would fight for her.

I don’t think she intended for Killian to kill Rumple, just see if Rumple would fight for her.  I think that might have been the deciding point for Milah, if Rumple would prove that he’s not a coward.

    Ahh.

It’s starting to make a lot of sense now.

It looks like Amara is back! She’s listed in the credits. I’m thinking she really is Cyrus’s mother, who is deathly ill. The price of him trying to save her must be becoming a genie!

Hmm, now that I think about it, it would make sense.  But the compass didn’t work anymore. Hmm..maybe she faked her death to make him think she was dead.

I think it would be a good idea to have Love Day regularly once the show comes back because I can foresee stuff getting ugly around here real quick once the show returns.  Because we are obviously heading towards CS being true love and Neal’s going to die around 3×15 or 3×16 and then, all the killer monkeys are going to come out.

It’s just going to be bad.
