ParticipantThe Author doesn’t want the book to be over, so he manipulates it to keep it going. Adam and Eddy do the same thing. Too early for Regina’s happy ending…so insert Marian.
I think this is an important point. It seems to me that no Storybrooke stories have been written. The only changes in the book are tied to the Enchanted Forest. (page 23, Princess Leia & Prince Charles).
I agree. Plus, if the Author was trapped in the book the entire time in Storybrooke, then he wouldn’t be able to write or manipulate stuff anyway.

ParticipantWe have a medical fountain of youth. It’s called plastic surgery and all the anti aging creams. Knowing that Cruella was rich before everything was taken away from her, it would not surprise me if she had a closet full of cosmetics to keep herself look young and beautiful.

ParticipantI’m glad the aging thing will be addressed.

ParticipantSo I wrote this meta a long time ago and it had been sitting my draft box and I published it recently.
It might add for some interesting discussion relating to this thread.
Something else to think about, what the current Author did, interfering in Snow’s story? Was that the first offense, or was it just the first time he was caught red-handed? Was there a previous offense? Is there a three strikes, you shouldn’t have done that and then he was banished?

ParticipantHmm…

ParticipantI really, really wish the full panel video of this would become available. I mean, if we can get a full panel video of the actor from Arrow, we can get one for JMo.

ParticipantHopefully, the next time there’s a Hot Seat interview or something, someone will ask.

ParticipantThis! So, is the endgame saying that there are no real villains or heroes, and that it’s all contextual? If that’s the message, then they seem to be conflating the idea that evil and good are process-based with moral relativism of the simplistic variety.*
I think we’ve seen that throughout the seasons. Not every villain is evil for the sake of being evil. I think the closest we’ve ever come to that level is Pan. Every other villain we’ve come across is sympathetic one way or another that you really can’t call them evil.
And every villain and hero has their own code that they live by. It’s how they get things done, their methods that differ.

ParticipantI actually have mixed feelings on this. Firstly, I’m glad for the first time in four seasons that Once is finally addressing that even heroes can make crappy decisions. I’m very happy about that, but the way they did it here, it’s not entirely their fault to begin with since their free was manipulated by the author. I think the moment Snow realized that they did bad a thing in the nursery is when they became aware that the author manipulated her decision.

ParticipantAnd if you follow the actress on twitter:
Be nice to Agnes despite this issue. Not her fault whatsoever.
