The people who are calling foul on Rapunzel not looking like the traditional Rapunzel, need to remember that this is a different take on the fairytales we know.
Jack turned out to be a girl. Red is the wolf. If they’re upset now that Rapunzel isn’t white, stop watching the show.
The casting call asked:
For Episode 14, the show is casting the possibly recurring role of a teenage African-American female who comes across as skittish and timid, having had her naturally curious and determined spirit tempered by years of crippling fear. I like that Once is different and Adam and Eddie are willing to take some artistic liberties with the stories. If all of was going to be the same as the stories we knew growing up, I’d probably still watch a bit but it wouldn’t hold my attention that much. I love Alternate Universe stories.
I don’t think it’s fair to judge the actress before she even debuts anyway. We don’t know what Adam and Eddie have planned for her.

With Once though, (with the exception of TL couples who happens to be parents like Snowing and Cinderella and her prince), we haven’t seen a lot of parents in the show who stick together. I was just wondering if maybe Malcolm was really in love with Rumple’s mother but something tragic happened to her and he always blamed Rumple for it.
I just read about the cheating thing on the PCAs. No offense to Vampire Diaries (I don’t watch) but that’s really low, using a bot on twitter to accumulate votes.
Every time I voted, it was actually me sitting behind my Mac and voting. I hope the PCAs can work with twitter and sort through the real vs. fake votes.
Just throwing this out there: In Into The Woods, Rapunzel’s hair was going to be used in a potion to cure the witch of her ugliness. In Tangled, Rapunzel’s hair actually has healing powers. Maybe Rapunzel’s role will be to have her hair be used as a cure? To make a potion?
And there’s a new curse coming, maybe her hair will be part of what is needed to break it.
I just want to say. I think we could still see Flynn. I mean, remember when Ariel was announced? There wasn’t an immediate announcement about Prince Eric but he was in her premiere episode.
