Like Cora, Lacey seemed drawn to magic for it could do for her. Cora wanted power and to make her enemies kneel before her. Lacey wants to be young forever (though the fact that she wants that so she can be with Rumple forever made my heart bleed and yell “Belle is still in there somewhere!”)

In the live chat on Sunday someone said about Lacey and Rumple “this is what a relationship with Cora would have looked like.” Both Cora and Lacey think Rumple is man who shouldn’t let anything stand in his way, they are drawn to his power and his darkness and they encourage it.

    .

This is easy, Lacey sees Gold as her sugar daddy (which is a slang term for a man who offers money or gifts to a younger person in return for companionship). Except in this case, it’s being young forever.

Since this is a curse on Belle, I’m hoping True Love’s kiss with Rumpel will restore her FT memories and she’ll be her old self again. I mean TLK is the cure all on this show for breaking spells.

(But for real, well said. I really feel like overall OUAT is a super relaxed and respectful fandom, I hope to see more of that. Yay!)

And I hope it stays that way, but I’ve seen nasty stuff elsewhere and I thought it was worth reminding OUAT fans here. ๐Ÿ˜€

obisgirl here. Elaine in real life.

I celebrated my 30th birthday last month and had an Once Upon a Time themed party. I am an Ameri-Fi-Brit (American-Filipino-British). Yay! for Filipinos and Mig Macario who plays Bashful because he’s Filipino. A Filipino to be proud of other than Manny Pacquaio and Happy Slip.

My mom is Filipino and my dad was born in London (but he came to the U.S when was a boy and eventually lost the British accent). We went as a family to London in 1999 and actually got to see the London Eye go up over the Seine.

My favorite Filipino foods are egg rolls (not be confused with spring or vegetable rolls), chicken adobo (with baby red potatoes).

I went home to the Philippines in 2008 for a wedding and my family and I did a lot of island hopping. We were in Laoag (we saw Marcus’ body, that was funny. He’s in a glass tomb in a dark room with dramatic music, with flowers and gold and he looks like a mannequin). We went to Manila, side trip to Bohol, tiny island of Bato, Leyte where my mom’s from. And I saw a cockfight too in my mom’s hometown. That was interesting. It didn’t last very long, was over in seconds.

But I got to meet most of my family whom I only knew by name. I have a lot of cousins, aunts and uncles and my mom’s always collecting relatives when she travels.

I know some Tagalog words and can figure out some visayan words because visayan has a lot of Spanish words in it and I studied Spanish in high school and in college. I have a love for karaoke and we have some filipino songs that I love to do my own special interpretations of, often mispronouncing words and just being silly in general. I butcher it like a pro.

I have an older brother who lives in Brooklyn, New York. We both studied animation and video but at different colleges (him at Rhode Island School of Design and me at George Mason University). We look nothing alike. I’d say I look Filipino from waist up and my brown hair is real. I’m still taller than my mom.

One of my good friends offline, I met her while I was still going to community college and we are both addicted to Once Upon a Time. She e-mails asking if I watched the episode yet and we chat back and forth. She was a big fan of Hook before me and now, whenever we get together, envitably, we talk about the show.

I watch episodes of Once with my boyfriend on Tuesdays (yay! that’s tomorrow). We’re almost done with watching Lost on Netflix but who knows what we’ll watch next after Once goes on summer hiatus. He once suggested that we finish watching Farscape since that’s what initially brought us together and I had a big laughing fit. I’m a fangirl, he’s a game geek. His thesis is actually related to gaming.

I’ve been writing fanfiction for a very long time. I signed up for a fanfiction.net account in 1997 with the username obi’s girl, stopped posting there for awhile for different reasons, then got myself a livejournal and I now also have a dreamwidth which takes off the stress of dealing with livejournal’s new posting interface, which is seriously messed up. I also have a tumblr and a twitter (which I wish had existed back in the day when I was managing my websites).

I ran a couple of Star Wars websites when I was in high school, my baby “Obidala Sanctuary,” which turned 10 like last year, and it’s sister site, Fated to Be. I ran a fansite directory for the British actress, Keira Knightley (she’s still my favorite), there were some other websites I had too. But now, I’m simply fandom content writing my fanfics, making icons and adding to the discussion.

Something I have noticed about my self, the actors I crush on tend to have sexy accents. My high school crush Ewan McGregor, sexy Scottish accent and that man can sing too, James McAvoy, nice eyes and so handsome. I can’t understand a word he says in an interview but he’s hot. I thought that the Phantom in 2005 Phantom of the Opera was hot, I have a mad crush on the new Superman, Henry Cavill. David Anders who played a villain on Heroes had a British accent, he doesn’t have one in real life but I still thought he was hot. I also have a crush on Ben Barnes from the Chronicles of Narnia movies.

Then, there’s Colin. I was very resistant at first and then eventually, I gave in. I won’t admit that I have a crush on Robert too even though he does have a sexy accent as well, mainly because he’s two decades older than me. Colin’s at least closer to my age.

Currently, I am studying to become an Adobe Certified Educator in InDesign, and will have to study again later for Illustrator and Dreamweaver. Then, I will have all the coffee I want because the office has a Keurig.

This should cheer up my fellow CS’rs.

I think that this is from the Once Upon a Time magazine.

Morrison, Jennifer. โ€œInto a Swan.โ€ Once Upon a Time: Magic is Here. Spring 2013: 18-25. Print.

For everyone who lost hope for Captain Swan after last episode. Season 3 will be about love. And thereโ€™s no word about Neal.

This a million times this! I was so sick last night seeing people jumping for joy that “CaptainSwan is dead” and seeing posts on twitter saying #SwanFireIsCanon #DealWithIt – for one thing it’s rude to fellow Oncers and for another it’s not just some fabrication in our minds!

I really hate the ‘shipper wars this season. I didn’t watch last night and tend to stay off twitter when OUAT comes on, but wow ๐Ÿ˜ฎ ๐Ÿ˜ฏ Talking about being disrespectful of your fellow Oncers. The thing to do now, for us anyway, is to be patient. If CS is destined, and I believe they are, the payoff will be BIG.

It’s just so frustrating to see so many negative things said when they clearly did parallel it all for a reason (not to mention that BOTH sides of the triangle have parallels to Snowing, whether others want to see it or not, they did set it up for a reason – I also love the parallels to Tangled, I really really do *will have to watch the CaptainSwan Tangled trailer on repeat over the summer (sniff)*

    .

Watch Snow Falls from season one, which gave us Snow White’s backstory of meeting and falling in love with Prince Charming and then re-watch Tallahassee. I promise you, the episode follows the same format, showing us Snow/Emma’s past and future. That should cheer you up ๐Ÿ˜† And we all know who Snow White ended up with.

We are all Oncers, and sometimes our ships overlap or our favorite characters do something stupid but we love what we love and should be respectful of those that love something else, even if it’s against what we like. Can’t we all get along and ENJOY the show we love? Please?

Amen!!! Which is why this ‘shipper fighting/wars crap should stop. ‘Shipper wars, in my experience, are so juvenile and pointless. We should all learn to appreciate and respect each other.

there’s also this I posted a few pages back.

    @obisgirl wrote:

Thatโ€™s for sure! Theyโ€™re very alike. Just like Hook, Emma was a rebel when she was younger. She committed some petty theft and lived outside the law. Another thing that they have in common is that Hook and Emma both lost their love a few years back. Theyโ€™re undeniably attracted to each other. But, for the time being, Emma resists the temptation to be seduced because she wants to protect Henry over all. However their relationship could take a new turn soon.

Jennifer Morrison when asked about Hook and Emmaโ€™s very ambiguous relationship.

Interesting choice of words she uses. ๐Ÿ˜† ๐Ÿ˜†
