I’m not a parent, so I really cannot relate to what Geppetto did being a smart move on his part but I agree. I think it was selfish to some degree. If Pinnochio had stayed, he could have remained a normal boy. My rationale for that is Cinderella. She was pregnant when the curse hit and remained pregnant during the curse.
