I actually cringed with the Cora and Rumpelstiltskin scenes. It was obviously not True Love–if it was, his curse would have started breaking. But it also seemed….weird. I don’t see why Cora fell in love with him. She seemed more in lust of him–he was powerful and attractive. But it wasn’t liek Belle and Rumpelstiltskin or Snow White and Prince Charming and the other couples on this show. They were all genuine. I think Rumpelstiltskin wanted desperatly to be in love and wanted someone to love him–his wife left him, his let his son go, and he had no one else.

    I agree.

I was hoping for a little more substance to the rivalry, but there could be.

Why was Eva visiting? Was she intended for Henry? I think she might have been and the fact that Henry marries Cora, the Miller’s Daughter, she couldn’t have taken that well.

I think what mellowed Eva out was probably meeting a young Leopold. If Henry was a good kind, prince as a young man, I’m thinking that Leopold was the same way and probably put Eva in her place. That’s probably what made her fall in love with him.

She talks about how there are some similarities between Hook and Spike (from Buffy the Vampire Slayer). I’m starting to see some of the similarities too. Of course, I could not stand Spuffy (Buffy and Spike, die-hard Angel fan). But I get it.

The thing with Spuffy is that Spike loved Buffy more than she loved him. Buffy used Spike. Even when she finally said “I love you” to Spike when he was about to die, he knew she didn’t truly mean it “No you don’t, but thanks for saying it”.

Could Emma use Hook? Possibly. If Tamara and Neal are still together next season then Emma may want to show Neal that she has moved on too and Hook would be in position to play that part. As much as I think Hook wouldn’t want a long term commitment to Emma, I think he would be a bit peeved if Emma was using him like that. I would actually feel a tiny bit of sympathy for Hook if Emma was to do that to him.

Hmm, I don’t think Emma would hook up with Hook just to show Neal that she’s moved on. I can see a younger Emma doing that but not Emma now.

I like how they show MM teaching the same lesson about the birdhouse, even back when the curse began. 28 times she did that lesson, without even realising it.

It makes sense that would happen considering they’re stuck in time, reliving the same day over and over. It’s like the movie Groundhog day. Makes sense now why Ashley wouldn’t recognize that she’s been pregnant for 28 years.

Actually, the actor who plays King Xavier is Portuguese 😆 but he can pass for a Latino male. So close enough 😆 😆

Google told me that Portuguese can also be classified under the Latino banner.

Just found this in trying to find Xavier’s connection (namewise):

The Bilingual Fairy Tales version of Rumplestiltskin was adapted by Xavier Carrasco. Very fitting. 🙂

    They’re so clever!

    Hmm, interesting connection.

She still took out her own heart.

I thought she did a good job.

Her scenes with Rumpel were uncomfortable to watch (I still love my rumbelle) but very reminiscent of the clay scene from Ghost.

but you know, I bet if any one of us girls were in Rose’s shoes during that scene, we would have fallen for Rumpelstiltskin too. 😆 😆

I almost felt sorry during this episode wondering if Regina was actually Rumpel’s kid instead of Henry’s because young Henry and Henry senior, are not bad guys. He seemed decent, even for a young prince and I think Cora (if she hadn’t been corrupted by dark magic) probably would have grown to love Henry.
