ParticipantTo be honest, I don’t think we need anymore movies. And this is coming from a big SW fan when the prequels were a big deal.

The casting call for Owen is:
Owen, a precocious, strong-willed kid who isnβt afraid to speak his mind β but his free-spirited, lively personality is all a facade, as heβs secretly dealing with the tragic death of his mother.
That sounds a lot like adult Killian Jones, who is constantly making snarky remarks towards women and using his bravado to cover up the fact that he lost his true love, Milha, at the hands of his arch enemy, Rumplestiltskin. This could be where Killian learned to cover up his emotions, by making jokes as a facad for his grief over his mother. It’s interesting that Emma, who also used to hide behind a wall to protect her vulnerable, orphan self, saw right through Hook and vice-versa.
or if this boy is Killian as a young boy, it could be that the early death of his mother created ‘mommy’ issues for him later in life.

I’m not familiar with him, but based on the pic in that article, I could see him as Hook’s father. The scruff is genetic. π
That’s just a regular picture. I’m not sure if the scruffy will stay once he gets in character.

@Josephine I know what you mean. I do enjoy Colin. I think he’s attractive and all but the roll of Hook should have probably been played by an older actor. Henry Ian Cusick is someone who I could see having great dynamics with Robert Carlyle. Regardless though, I do think that Colin is doing a good job but he def needs to have some more layers.
Why an older Hook? This is a new interpretation of the character. All of the characters on the show are like that (making Red the wolf from Little Red Riding Hood, that was awesome and added an extra layer to her character). Personally, I find it refreshing that he’s not the Hook we know from the traditional story. It would be boring to see the same old story again.

ParticipantI know. I’m hoping Neal is Bae too.

ParticipantIt’s awesome that JJ gets to direct but I wouldn’t like to see the next movie be about where are Han, Leia and Luke now. I mean, have you read the New Jedi Order? That series was all over the place. One bad book, 2 good books, more bad writing, more good writing.

Same here. I was gonna reply that I’ll take one on each side and happily be the meat in the sandwich, thank you very much. π π
