I feel like I have to step in here because every time I read about this reverse blaming the victim thing, it makes me sick. Why? Because Hook was clearly the victim in 4A.
Rumple strapped him to a fence, reached into his chest and pulled out his bright red heart, forcing him to become his slave. So Rumple could go on doing all that shady stuff and essentially have his hands and conscious clean.
Hook did not want to do Rumple’s bidding but he really had no choice because again, Rumple had his heart. Rumple even referred to Hook as his pet (like how Regina referred to the huntsman as her pet).
Speaking of the huntsman, I’m not any delusions there that he probably did stuff for Regina that he did not want to do either. But he had no choice but to do them because again, Regina had his heart and she could kill him any time. But you know, we don’t hate on Graham for doing Regina’s bidding because 4 1/2 seasons later, he is still loved by the fandom.
Did Hook makes mistakes in 4A? Yes, he did. But that did NOT warrant Rumple taking his heart and controlling him as a puppet. No, just no. Plus, from what I gather from Eddy’s attitude, that most people will understand that he had no control over the situation and he was the victim. Rumple was the villain.
Rumple was my favorite too for many seasons and he did a lot of stuff I am simply not happy with this season and I can’t defend him. I can’t find a reason to defend him.
I’m super excited about a Belle/Hook friendship and I think Belle will understand, given how she was there and saved Hook from Rumple, that he was not in control over what he was doing. Rumple was.

[adrotate group="5"]Day 10- Least Favourite Guest Character (Appeared in 3 episodes or less) – I think Milah, although to be fair, I don’t think when she was introduced to the audience, you were supposed to like her anyway. I think my over all problem with her is the lack of character development, making me think she is more plot device character than to be looked at her own character. Milah existed to move the plot forward, for Hook and for Rumple, to create tension between these two.
Good actress though.
Well I don’t know about you Watcher but I think Rumple is whispering all the nasty things all the other Queens of Darkness are saying about one another.
Sounds like an Enchanted Forest version of Mean Girls where they talk about each other behind their backs.
I need a Hook Beauty friendship so bad. There was a point made in the last Captain Swan podcast that anyone from Rumple’s family who was not loved properly, Hook was almost always there to pick up the pieces. I look forward to a Hook and Belle friendship, and OMG, Hook and Snow are actually talking to each other. In an actual conversation too!!!

And they look so happy and in love. Looks like CS date part two but in Granny’s diner. And remember, the last time she invited him to dinner at Granny’s, Hook had to decline because of Zelena cursed his lips. Now, he’s at dinner with Emma, Snow is there too and Belle. We already know Hook will be working with Belle, so this is a nice set-up for that friendship and Killian will actually have a conversation with his future mother-in-law, Snow. That is so long overdue. .

3) Im going to go out on a limb and say maybe the darkness has nothing to do with the queens and actually has something to do with The Hat. Maybe when they do the spell or ritual or whatever to release the fairies, they release everyone in the hat including some kind of…dark…creature..entity..thing >> sounded better in my head.
