ParticipantI did see that and immediately, I thought, there is no way the Stranger is Pinocchio. I really don’t think there are many people in FT world who actually knew about the dagger.
Horder’s dead, the original Dark One is dead. The only other person who knew about the dagger’s existence is Baelfire, so it makes sense that the Stranger’s real purpose for coming to Storybrooke all along, it was to find the dagger so he can stop his father.
Thank you Lissy for the screencaps! ๐ ๐

If August isn’t Baelfire, I have to wonder what the explanation will be for his connection to Mr. Gold. I guess you never know with these writers… ๐
By the way, did anyone take a look at the guest stars in the press release for this episode?
Guest starring are David Anders as Dr. Whale, Anastasia Griffith as Kathryn/Abigail, Keegan Connor Tracy as Mother Superior/Blue Fairy, Meghan Ory as Ruby/Red, Giancarlo Esposito as Sidney/Magic Mirror, Beverley Elliott as Granny, Dylan Schmid as Baelfire, Conner Dwelly as Morraine, Greyston Holt as Jim/Frederick, Gabe Khouth as Mr. Clark/Sneezy, Michael Coleman as Happy, Mig Macario as Bashful, Jarod Joseph as Billy, Christina Gooding as mute maid and Michael Roberds as donkey driver.
Interesting list.
One name in particular jumped out at me upon second glance:
Morraine. The girl who was taken by the soldiers at the beginning of Desperate Souls. ๐ฏ
Not only that, Kathryn/Abigail is listed in the episode, so maybe when we see FT it’s a bit closer to the “present” day.

I’ve got a funny feeling that this search for a way to save his father won’t end well for poor Bae. ๐
Prediction: The ep will show Rumple and Bae’s story in Fairytale, and Mr Gold and August’s storyline in Storybrooke, as misdirection to make everyone think he’s Bae. But then near the end of the ep, Bae will die.
Hmm, maybe. It would be really tragic if Rumple somehow ends up killing his son after going through all the trouble to find the dagger so he can protect him.

Was just reading another forum and saw someone mention set photos of a scene involving August and Marco so I googled and found this:
http://www.tvequals.com/2012/03/12/exclusive-on-set-photos-from-abcs-once-upon-a-time/
At one end of the street, series stars Robert Carlyle (Mr. Gold/Rumpelstiltskin), Eion Bailey (August Booth) and Tony Amendola (Marco/Gepetto) filmed a scene in Mr. Goldโs Pawn Shop. Thereโs no telling for sure what was going on in the scene, as most of it took place inside the shop, but it seems to involve all three and what appeared to be a large cuckoo clock. One thingโs for sure, it looks like weโre going to see more of Gepettoโs story very soon. That’s totally Pinocchio checking up on dear old dad. ๐
Pinocchio is a large cuckoo clock ๐ ๐ ๐ ๐ I figured he either reverted back to wood or was an orphan boy similar to Ava and Nicholas. but I like the cuckoo clock idea better.

I think if Bae is dead then Rumpel can’t bring him back. I was watching Ep 2 and Maleficent said something like even this curse will not bring back what you love, so i don’t think the curse can do that. I don’t think it can bring someone back from the dead. It is possible that Bae is not dead though.
Okay, I have an awesome theory. You know the Evil Queen told Rumple that Belle “died?” What if the fairies helped Baelfire escaped and came back to Rumple, telling him that he had died when in reality, he was still alive but somewhere safe and far away from his father. Maybe the fairies sent him to our world perhaps, and became our beloved Stranger?

ParticipantThis promo has me convinced that the Stranger is Baelfire, not Pinocchio. I mean, really, I don’t think anyone else except for Baelfire would know about the dagger. If you count the fact that we haven’t seen The Stranger interact with Mr. Gold this season until now, he seems to know exactly who Mr. Gold is.
Pinocchio — I can’t think why Pinocchio would be so determined to kill Mr. Gold.

ParticipantI wonder if they will have some kind of wrap party. They deserve it for such an awesome first season ๐

The “Heartless” headline is just Regina forcing Sidney (the editor of the town newspaper) to spin the story negatively. It’s like when the Soviet Union newspaper would print State propaganda. Ironically, the Soviet newspaper called Pravda is Russian for “truth” when in reality most of the articles printed were just lies. Back in SB, we all know Regina is actually the one who is heartless. The headline is ironic, because though Mary Margaret is on trial for murder, Regina is the one who was dark enough even to remove her own father’s heart to enact a dark curse. Regina’s not only heartless, but diabolical.
I agree.

Has Sidney been re-installed as chief-editor? Did I miss something? ๐ฏ
As far as I know, he hasn’t. But you can’t really tell because the jail bars are in the way, whose name is on the byline.

So that leads me to believe that if Emma did choose to ignore her ‘debt’ to Gold, then it would throw things off balance & perhaps lead to dire repercussions, not only for Emma but for those she cares about. But as for what he’ll ask for, I truly believe that after the events of ‘Hat Trick’, he’ll ask her to side with him, and use her magic ( that she may or may not have – I think she has magic ) to help him meet his goals; whatever they may be.
that’s possible.

I’ve always thought that this favor might come into play after they’re in FTL – in which case she’ll have no choice…
I thought about that too.

So in the episode we see Cinderella and the prince get married and as they are dancing they share a laugh/dance with Snow and James. I have a hard time believing everything was hunky dory at the time because if they were already married, then they already know the EQ had plans. Weren’t they too busy worrying and trying to figure out what her plans were? It seemed a little outta left field for me. I’m not upset by it or anything but it made me think they all seem too happy knowing something evil is coming …but who knows maybe they were just trying to have some fun before Sh*t hit the fan.
I think they were all relieved to celebrate and enjoy one evening where they didn’t have to worry about the Evil Queen’s threat.

Also, and i thought this was funny. MM has dinner prepared, gives a plate to Emma, MM puts her plate on the table to sit and eat but Mr. Gold knocks on the door and as he’s about to explain Emma why he needs her help, MM says “I’m gonna go take a bath” Umm what happened to dinner lol – not a big deal at all just funny. whatever she cooked looked delicious ๐
I do remember that. I think, like Henry, MM’s wary of Mr. Gold.
