ParticipantI think its like parallel universes. places that exist in fairytale land, are also located in Storybrooke. like we saw the troll bridge and the toll bridge.

ParticipantWe have Prince James and Shepherd James. We don’t know when they were separated but I think it’s safe to assume, it was when they were babies. Prince James became royalty because he was adopted by King George while his brother remained a shepherd. That is very similar to Luke and Leia. Luke grew up on Tatoonie as a moisture farmer, while his sister, Leia was raised as a Princess.

Participantbut we saw in the end of ‘That Still Small Voice’ that FT is underneath Storybrooke. but it looked pretty damaged to me.

ParticipantWelcome rumplegoldfankristi 😀 Yay, another Rumple lover on the forums! 😀 😀
rumple’s my favorite character too 😀
I love OUAT. I haven’t been this over analytical with a show since ‘Heroes.’

I thought that maybe because Regina won this game. She tricked Rumpel into believing it was Moe and so she gets what she wants and that is for him to admit that he is Rumpel,.
so, you’re saying it was Regina who broke into Mr. Gold’s house and not Moe? 😮

I thought ‘Peter Pan’ wasn’t in the public domain – & ABC/Disney would have to pay the copyright fees to be able to use any likeness of the character – & so they haven’t bothered with using any of the characters from the novel. I’m not saying they won’t use Peter Pan – but at this point in time, I don’t see Disney shelling out the big bucks to be able to use the character’s likeness. They used to own the rights – back when they produced the animated movie but I’m pretty sure they let the rights go & they returned to the estate / holders of J. M. Barrie’s copyrights.
( Long story short – I don’t think we’ll be seeing Peter Pan until season 2 and rather late in the season at that. ) / Just my two cents.
I do remember seeing this.
Yeah, I read that too. 🙁
In the story though, none of the characters are from FT land. they're all from the real world. so I don't know if it would work to make them from FT world. that's how it was portrayed in the syfy movie. like I saw the syf mini-movie which is a prequel to the Peter Pan story, and it is very well-done if you haven’t seen it.

@ obisgirl ;; In the original telling of ‘The Little Mermaid’ – the mermaid doesn’t get her prince either. He falls in love with someone else & I’m pretty sure the mermaid in her grief plunges herself off a cliff into the ocean & drowns ( I’m not sure – point being, in her grief – she commits suicide. ) Not exactly a happily ever after.
// As for my own favorite fairy tale – it would probably have to be a tie between Beauty & the Beast & The Princess & the Pea.
Apparently the whole motif of seeing what lies beyond the outer appearance is something I find very appealing in fairy tales – which why I love Beauty & the Beast. Princess & the Pea on the other hand – is rather amusing in the way it’s written – which is why I love it. The double-meanings are rather hilarious; in my opinion.
yeah, that is definitely not Disney 😆
Beauty and the Beast was a featured blurb in my psychology book. I can’t remember what the chapter was on but it talked about appearances, or something simliar to what you said.
I was in a production of The Princess and the Pea when I was in elementary school, it wasn’t a very big part. I was the Princess’ handmaiden. I had one line and even when I go back and watch the tape, I don’t know what I said. and when I was on stage combing her hair in one scene, you could barely see me because I sat behind the dividers.

ParticipantI’m been wondering the same thing too. If we’re to believe ‘literally’ when Emma goes back to the FT world, that she becomes a baby again, maybe she’ll have second thoughts? because who would take care of Henry if she left? I can’t imagine that she would be able to bring him with her because she would be a baby. would charming & snow take care of henry?
but then again, maybe Emma won’t become a baby again when the curse is broken and she stays an adult, thus when she returns to FT world, she still has Henry and can take care of him.
and we’ve only seen instances of ‘singular’ happiness, in other words, Sean and Ashley getting their happy ending isn’t the same as ‘everyone’ in Storybrooke getting their happy ending. I think that’s how the curse will work.
another way to look at it: Henry keeps saying that Emma will bring back to the happy endings, not you’re going to return them to the FT land. there is a difference. so maybe when everyone remembers who they are, Storybrooke could become their new FT land.
I mean, we saw the evil curse destroy the rotunda in the pilot and I think it’s safe to assume, all of FT world. so if they went back, would it stay destroyed or revert back to its former self before the EQ enacted the curse ❓
So many questions to think about 😮 😆

ParticipantI had a thought last night after your post, if rumple did sacrifice himself, it couldn’t be a self-serving sacrifice.
the only way he could be redeemed would be if his sacrifice was completely un-selfish and maybe then, his reward would be that he would be saved or resurrected, so he can live happily ever after with belle 😀
