ParticipantI have a longer wait. Thursday’s because I watch with my boyfriend and it’s difficult between Sunday and then, to stay spoiler free.
And it’s Thursday where I am, so I get to watch the new episode.
I should also mention, there are two CS chatrooms
http://fyesemmaandhook.tumblr.com/chat
http://captainswansource.tumblr.com/captainswanchatroom
So, if the thread is dormant here, usually, you can find CS ‘shippers in one of those two chats.

ParticipantCan’t say I’ve been to Barcelona. Maybe the next trip I go there.
You’re welcome š Hope you drop by the CS thread sometime. Though I have to warn you, most of us CS’ers have left the board. I’m still here though.

ParticipantSo if relationships between parents and their (adult) children can be reforged after a betrayal, the next question then becomes whether a marriage can be salvaged after a betrayal on the scale of what Rumple did to Belle. If a parent-child relationship can be reforged, can a marriage? Should it?
I would say, both have to be judged and looked at differently. Ā Your parents are not your spouse and your spouse is not your parent.
I get into fights with my parents and it takes me awhile to forgive them if they really hurt me, but eventually I do because despite that hurt, I still love them and live in the same house as them. Ā (It even surprises me when they admit that they were wrong to treat me the way they did and accept their fault).
But the issue here is trust, specifically trust between a husband and a wife (Belle and Rumple). Rumple lied and manipulated Belle several times this past season, that I think it would be very hard for Belle to easily forgive that and let him back into her life.
Because who’s to say, if she did take him back, that he wouldn’t pull the same stunts next season? Trust is shattered. Ā Rumple can say all he wants that he can change — but can he really? Ā
I also feel, there has to be some kind of resolution to the relationship. Ā There needs to be final closure, one way or another, instead of this break-up, get back together, break up again (lather, rinse and repeat).
If that closure is that they break-up permanently, I’m at the point now, where I would be completely fine with this.
Because I can’t find a reason to sympathize with and make excuses for him Rumple anymore. I do however,Ā sympathize a lot with Belle at the moment and what Rumple’s constant lies and manipulations have done to her. Ā Belle deserves Rumple’s respect, enough respect to know that it is not alright for him to continually hurt her for his own selfish needs and desires.
In Belle’s experience, this is not the first time Rumple has lied to her. Ā He’s done it before. He kept stuff from her in season two, the only difference now (in 4A), was that he was purposely keeping her in the dark. Ā Because he knew he was doing stuff that Belle would not approve of.

ParticipantI strongly disagree. Rumple is in awe of Belle, he loves her just the way she is.
We’ll see.
But I think we’re purposely not seeing what Belle is like (in teasers) for this AU because she is a stay-at home housewife.

ParticipantOh God, I really hate this because I really don’t want A&E to go back on that statement Cora made.
Thus far, there’s only two ways the Dark One curse can be broken:
TLK — not likely to happen anytime soon.
Or Rumple dies before passing that magic onto someone else.

ParticipantIāve been thinking the final scene would be of Emma meeting the Sorcerer. Face to face.
Hmm, maybe.
But you donāt become the Dark One by stabbing yourself with the dagger. You have to stab the current Dark One. Though according to how Emma says āthe dagger needs to be attached to someoneā, it seems the dagger is currently nameless in that scene. Which means either Rumple already died without being stabbed, or he was freed from the curse. Anyway, hereās the video and two of the detailed set reports. Nothing about Emma stabbing herself:
Except thereās no name on the dagger which changes the rules. There is no previous Dark One to stab so a new Dark One has to be created in a new way, ie: not by stabbing the previous one. Yes, Iāve seen the video but it feels weird that there would be no stabbing. Weāre in uncharted territory as far as the Curse goes.
Maybe we going to see the ending of the Dark One’s curse finally. Ā Rumple was going to die in season two and Cora said if Rumple dies before the DO power is passed on to someone, that magic just evaporates.
Cora: More than injured, Iād say. Heās dying. And when his name disappears, all of that power of his will just⦠Boil off into the air and⦠Then there will be no new Dark One.
Which I seriously hope Adam and Eddy stick to that.
