The actor who plays the Penguin is so perfectly cast. He is creepy, manipulative, a very good con artist.
I like seeing Catwoman as a kid. That girl has some spunk. I like her and young Bruce. I hope we get to see them working together this season.
Does anyone think we’ll actually see what Rumple’s heart looks like now sometime this season?
I’d love to see what it looks like now, if only to prove my theory that it’s pitch black. I’m okay if there’s tiny spots of red but I don’t expect it to be like half red/half black. That would just be weird.

I think Rumple still has his heart inside his body. Rumple has said it himself “pain is strength” If he took his own heart out, it makes him weaker. Also, he looked disturbed when he found out Cora had ripped out her own heart, as if that was something that was beyond his consideration.

I agree that Rumple’s heart is most likely black on the majority of it but with little parts of red poking through.

That is not the same lovable Belle we met in Skin Deep who tried to free Rumple with TLK. This is a much darker version of Belle.
Wait, what? How is Belle darker? Between the two of them, Rumple’s heart has to be pitch black compared to Belle’s, who I expect to be bright red. Plus, you know, she told the truth about everything she did in Family Business. Rumple’s been lying to everyone and he’s done far worse than Belle this season.

There has been some discussion of choice and agency in regards to Emma and Rumple but if you listen closely Rumple is manipulating Emma’s choice.
This is the basic breakdown once Emma asks “what would you do?”
Rumple: I am a man who does WRONG things so I WOULD NOT go into that room.
Wrong Choice = Not Going Into Room
Rumple: You, Emma Swan, are a hero who always does the RIGHT thing, which is not what I would do.
Right Choice = Going Into the Room
Rumple: You don’t need to change who you are, the person who does right things. Don’t be like me!
Rumple is giving her the allusion of choice but really he’s telling her that in order to do the heroic good thing, she must go into that room or risk being a villain who makes bad choices.
