Not that I don’t like it but what is with the Hook promo on disney.com and twitter? I know they ship CS- it’s pretty obvious since day one but still. Why now?
I don’t think there’s any particular reason. Felt like just a fangirl post, just for fun. I wouldn’t put too much stalk into it. But it is really funny, especially it lists most of the reasons why we love Hook in general.

I remember the spoiler in 3A that a beloved character would die during the Neverland arc. I think most of us thought it was someone from the main cast but actually, it turned out being Peter Pan.
I seriously do not think Killian is in any danger of dying. It’s already been said that he excels at surviving, therefore he’s a weak contender for a possible death anytime soon. Secondly, he’s in a relationship with Emma and it would be a huge thing for Emma if Killian died suddenly. I feel fairly certain if Killian really died, she would revert back to walls up season one Emma. And she’s come so far as a character to go back to that person.
I strongly believe Emma and Killian are endgame and highly likely each other’s true love. He’s not going to die guys.
I do however find it interesting after Family Business that there was talk of possibly Belle dying. I’m on the fence about how I feel about Belle at the moment — I think it all depends on how she reacts to Rumple’s lies when they inevitably come out.
I think one my theories was that no one specifically wrote the book, that the book is a fail safe of the original curse. In case Henry couldn’t get Emma to believe, here’s this book that might be able to help. I don’t think anyone actually physically wrote it.
The book is magic, it is a product of magic therefore, when Emma and Hook re-wrote what happened in Snow Falls, the book-rewrote itself. Even Snow remembered “Princess Leia.”
But I love that everyone wrote in the book, as in it’s a collection of everyone’s memories.

I appreciate how the writers like to keep Killian’s character consistent from episode to episode. At the end of Breaking Glass (4×05), he told her that he would like to know more about her beginnings and the subtle reference that Emma should not be afraid to share that part of her past with him. She can be vulnerable with him because he isn’t like other guys she’s been with her.
And it’s interesting to note before Emma even knew that Captain Hook was a real person and that he was someone she could relate too, she was drawn (literally) to the water. And when she did not remember him, Emma was still drawn to the water.
Could the arrival of so many villains in town be an unintended consequence of Operation Mongoose? I wonder if Regina tampering with the storybook has something to do with their arrival. Maleficent is supposed to be dead, after all, so her arrival in present-day SB could only happen if Regina tampered with the story so that the villains get their happy endings (as was her intention in 4×1).
It could have a runaway effect so that every villain you thought had been defeated or killed is now alive and well in SB. “Be careful what you wish for” could be a new theme–a theme which is at the heart of the story Into the Woods (which has been adapted by Disney and is being released this X-Mas).
I think you could be right.
