Perhaps this explains why none of the deleted scenes from Skin Deep are available on the Season 1 Blu-Ray. They could be taking aspects from those omitted story bits and re-incorporating them into this episode.
I really hope this is what they are doing!
I don’t understand why so many deleted scenes were left off the DVD. I know Raphael Sabarge had several scenes in episodes he doesn’t appear in at all in the aired version. Also Robert Carlyle has mentioned lines in interviews that apparently didn’t make it to the final cut of the episode. I would love to see all of this! Why won’t they let me buy it?
[adrotate group="5"]ollliiiviaParticipantThis tweet made me so happy! So excited we get to see more flashbacks with them!
I don’t kno w if I think it will be the dance scene though because she is wearing the yellow dress (I love that dress!) that she wore in the beginning of Skin Deep before they were comfortable with each other. I just think it would be strange for them to be dancing shortly after they met, when in the original episode they don’t seem to connect until later.
And I agree, this definitely makes it more likely that “Lacey” is Belle’s Storybrooke name.
ETA: I somehow accidentally missed a page, and Phee had already said what I did.

This is definitely not a pic from last season. Rumple never wore that outfit in “Skin Deep” and Belle’s hair is different.
Was gonna go back to check if that’s what he was wearing in Skin Deep but hadn’t got around to it. If he’d been dressed the same as when he took her away, then I’d have guessed this scene may just be seeing her arrive at his castle for the first time. Wherever this scene fits, it’s probably not long after she arrives there, because I can’t see her staying in that ballgown all day every day when she’s got the blue dress to change into. But he’s not gonna be spinning her around the dancefloor on the day she moves in. The only way I can really see this fitting if they’re gonna do the dance scene, is if she hauls the ballgown out of storage and puts it on again after she’s got to know him a bit.
I agree! I have to go analyze Rumple’s outfits now.
ollliiiviaParticipantI wondered about this too! It’s possible it’s something that will be explained as we learn more about Bae’s life immediately after he went through the portal.
I think he must have been dealing some before Bae left because Bae knew to make a deal with him was the way to get him to give up his magic.
Even if Bae hadn’t seen the Dark One making deals, he’s seen him kill on more than one occasion and had reason to be afraid for Emma.ollliiiviaParticipantI like the idea of “Lacey” being either
- 1) Belle’s Storybrooke name.
- 2)The “Her” Greg keeps talking to.
- 3)Or, Neal’s fiancee we haven’t met yet.
1) I would most like for Lacey to be Belle because I want to see her in Storybrooke more, but I think it’s unlikely she is. It doesn’t seem like Belle has a Storybrooke name, otherwise why wouldn’t she have said it when she was objecting to everyone calling her Belle. Possibly because they were waiting to do this episode, but I kind of doubt it.
2) I’d be happy with Lacey being the woman Greg is talking to. We have to learn about her sometime!
3) I’m interested to see how all of this plays out. How she reacts to Storybrooke and how Emma and Gold react to this new woman.@Pan14 wrote:
I’m also guess that this could be the Blue Fairy’s name. She’s always Blue in FTL or Mother Superior in Storybrooke. I really hope we get a Blue Fairy centric episode this season. I’m a big supporter of the idea (since she was called the oldest source of magic or something) that BF intended for Rumple to create the curse. There’s a story there for sure. It’s killing me not knowing.
Me too! I’ve always felt the Blue Fairy has to be more significant than she’s been shown to be so far. They called her “bigger than anything” in The Return. She could be such an interesting character and I hope they go there with her. I don’t really think the Blue Fairy be “Lacey” , but it looks like we’ll see her next week helping MM with Cora! So excited!

What about Sneezy he hasn’t gotten his memories back yet either and he has had no memory longer then Bella? :
I know! Poor Sneezy! I would love to know more about his life in the town of crazies. haha. It doesn’t seem fair to me that he gets to run his pharmacy though and Belle has to be tranquilized every few hours.

Also, I don’t actually mind unlike some Rumbelle fans if Rumple and Cora did have a relationship beyond just flirting, but just no Regina as his real child.
I agree. I don’t think Rumple having some sort of prior relationship with Cora takes away from Rumbelle at all. If anything, I think it will just highlight the difference between the relationships and that will be all in Belle’s favor.
I really really hope they don’t make Rumple turn out to be Regina’s father. I try not to be critical of the writers until we’ve seen a full season or know where a storyline is going, but I will be so disappointed if this turns out to be true for all the reasons everyone has already listed. It just doesn’t make any sense based on how Gold/Rumple has always treated her, and I don’t think it’s realistic for him to not realize she was his. He knows who her mother is and would know when they were together, so I don’t know how he could not at least think she might be his daughter if it were a possibility.
ollliiiviaParticipantI’m so excited for this episode! Really looking forward to learning about Cora/Rumple’s history.
And I CANNOT WAIT for the Rumbelle moment whatever it is. I love Belle! I hope this whole amnesia storyline plays out as well, I feel like it could.
Any theories for why they aren’t in the same room in their scene? Maybe they’re talking through a door or on the phone? Or are just talking about each other to other people in different places? I don’t know. It’s especially hard to predict because Belle still doesn’t know him, so what kind of conversation could they even have?
ollliiiviaParticipantOooooh! It’s a good theory!
Especially since it would kind of make sense if they killed her since they know the actress isn’t available most of the year. It would be scheduling nightmare to have her as a recurring character. I hope we’re wrong though. I love her!

I mean, that’s awful convenient. And surely Belle would not be that careless.

With Milah, I swear she is more of a plot-device. She is just around to make Rumpelstiltskin more sympathetic. And I wouldn’t mind that, but her quick reactions bothered me. She fears her husband going to war and dying a horrible death, but when he comes back alive, she gets angry. It seemed a bit too quick for her to suddenly hate him.
I agree about Milah. I don’t like her because of the way she treats Baelfire, but I understood her a lot better in The Crocodile. I think they just didn’t have enough time to show her in Manhatten with all the other drama going on and her scenes were so rushed they felt off.

I just hope we finally find out Mr. Gold’s first name. Eddy and Adam have said “keep watching” for both Charming and Gold and hopefully we’ll finally have an answer. :
They said somewhere that Mr Gold doesn’t have a first name as a nod to the Rumplestiltskin story. I mean, he must have something on his drivers license, but I don’t think K&H have ever given him a first name, so I don’t think it’s something we’ll find out. I’ll look for a link to the interview they say that. I think it might have been on the podcast?
