ParticipantI wonder if they are going to have to reunite the heart in order to properly break the curse.
As in one of them sacrifices themselves for the other? Possibly. Not sure how Snowing would choose who gets to live seeing as they can’t have a conversation. Maybe family would have to make this decision for them.
Still, the can easily be broken by simultaneous TLK. This seems more elegant. (Albeit too easy).

ParticipantI would be in two minds about it. I stated previously that I would like to see it, but I would be irked that the EQ part of Regina had to be physically removed for TLK to happen.
Yup this.
Yep. In which case maybe Henry can wake up one and Emma the other simultaneously….

ParticipantThere has to be many saplings all over. There’s no way that’s the only one.
My thoughts exactly. In fact, I just mentioned this in my review of the ep without knowing that you had posted this.

ParticipantWhat is morally correct in Once is whatever is convenient at the time to be morally correct. There is a lot of inconsistency on Once not just with the plot and world-building themselves, but with morals, too. For example, it was okay for Regina to kill an innocent man to protect Snowing, but it was not okay for Emma to kill Cruella to protect Henry.

……Awwwwwwww!!!!!!!! And no, not like the recent Maleficent film, it would be like season one of OUAT because OUAT did it first!! But yes, I like this idea very much. If that doesn’t truly bury the hatchet between Snow and Regina (which I think is already buried) this will do it.
QuoteIf this were to happen, to be honest I would be in two minds about it. I stated previously that I would like to see it, but I would be irked that the EQ part of Regina had to be physically removed for TLK to happen.
I am also waiting with baited breath for a true love sapling to have grown in the field where Regina and Snow first met LOL just kidding.

ParticipantFinally, one version of Regina impersonates the other! Looking forward to this!
Can’t they just melt down the shears in a furnace? Maybe the magical object melts the shears LOL just kidding. But there are so many random magical objects in Once these days, any suggestion or theory goes, I suppose!

ParticipantI think there were a few factors here that helped with this rebound. The first (and probably biggest) one was that there was no World Series. The second one was that Daylight Savings ended meaning it got darker earlier so people were inside earlier. The final one (which Rainbow already pointed out) was that it didn’t go against NCIS.
Sure. These are likely the biggest reasons for the jump. However, some of the viewers may have watched the sport, and caught up on Once later, only to find themselves bored by the last episode which is why I was surprised.

ParticipantSo…the Evil Queen plans on killing both Emma & Regina, but she already knows that if Regina dies, she dies! What exactly is her endgame plan here?
This is my thought, too. I can only guess she has found a way to survive independently of Regina. Otherwise…plothole!
That aside, I am wondering why EQ is targeting them at all. They both are the only threat to the EQ, granted, but what if they are BOTH needed to break Snowing’s sleeping curse? (see my comment on the thread about the curse).

ParticipantIf Emma gets her mojo back, she should be able to break the curse on both of them. In fact, she still should be able to do it anyway, seeing as you just need to love someone truly to break the sleeping curse, you don’t need to be magical yourself.
Not sure if it will happen but I would like to see Snow back under, and Regina waking her up with a TLK on the forehead. (like the recent Maleficent film, I know, I know).
Seeing as the curse is on both of them, perhaps Emma can kiss her father, and Regina, Snow at the same time to make sure the curse isn’t passed from one to the other if the curse is lifted on one of them. Bish, bash, bosh, problem solved!
Though my idea is internally logical, I have a feeling that this is too easy and that the writers have some long-winded retconny method/random magical item up their sleeves that will break this curse. It might even involve the dream world we saw with Belle, or Morfetus’ involvement, hence why Morfetus is changed into an adult ASAP.

ParticipantWriting this without reading the previous comments; apologies if I repeat.
I was blown away by this episode. The editing, directing and most of the writing was tight, and all of the core characters had something to do. There was some great dialogues and character moments, everyone’s acting was great, and I was on the edge of my seat from start to finish. If I had never watched Once before and had just tuned in for this episode, I would have given it 10/10. However, I have seen all the previous episodes, and as a result I am unable to do this due to plot holes, continuity issues and unnecessary plot lines that either create said plot holes or ruin the show in other ways.
-EQ and Gold continuing to get it on. No No No No! I repeat, until this season, there was never any sexual tension between them. And this story line is not necessary anyway. Gold can help EQ because she gets him the shears, and Zelena can give up on EQ because she wants to be good (or some other reason!). Unnecessary plotline that retcons canon in a way that is not believable.
-A true love sapling is needed to cage the queen. So there must be more, then? For example, one made my Cinderella and her Prince? All is not lost then, if we follow the internal logic. Is it because only Snowing’s can cage the queen because she is the enemy of their relationship? If this is so, then this should have been made clear.
-Why didn’t Regina just poof the sapling out of EQ’s hands into somewhere protected by a spell only she or the BF can break? I understand this happened to create drama, but I really can’t stand it when drama is created by intelligent characters reacting too slowly. In fact, I am not sure if the sapling needed to be included at all. There was enough tension without the sapling.
-Let’s grow the sapling out of it’s ashes, seeing as the EQ can materialize out of hers! Both are magical!
6/10 overall.
