Is the guy playing the head bandit the same actor from last episode who played the guy that Regina and Cora killed?Quote

You know what? I recognised him too. I thought I was going insane. Not sure if it is the guy that Regina and Cora killed (when was that btw?) but that face…I know it.

I have a problem with Snow’s “epiphany”. We, the fans, noticed that this was not the character we used to love, but that was not shown through the narrative of the show. Snow and other characters never commented about this. This is yet another example of viewers know => character know

    Dramatic Irony (http://global.britannica.com/art/dramatic-irony)

Shakespeare used this technique a lot.

But I agree, the viewers knew before Snow for too long.

    7.5/10

    LIKED

-Snow, in the present time, asserted herself, got involved in physical battles and informed everyone that she no longer wishes to be called Mary Margaret

-Regina was the one who gave present time SW the pep talk. It was also nice to see her acknowledge some of the suffering she caused SW in more detail than in 3B.

-”Herc”’s story was over so quick. More time to focus on actual fairytales and the original core characters.

    -Hades! Great actor.

-That the pen is alive! First plot twist that is not based on a plot hole or continuity error or OOC moments in a VERY long time. It was an interesting way to get the pen down to the Underworld.

    -Regina’s dress.

    MIXED

-Seeing Young Snow and Regina. I was disappointed that we saw very little  of them together and that some scenes seemed to have been cut (LP’s twitter account showed Regina and Young Snow outside together).

    DISLIKED

-It was unrealistic that it took 24-48 hours for SW to be that competent at archery. I am sure that not even the most talented archers learned that quick.

    -”Herc” OMG so cheesy.

-More evidence that one of the characters is going to die to let Hook live, and it probably will be Robin. Let’s s**** some more on Regina, shall we? I guess the character needs to die because he cheated death in 5A; I am just disappointed with the writing choices.

-That Henry didn’t ‘fess up about meeting Cruella to Robin. Really, what would have been the harm to tell him? Surely Henry is old enough and smart enough to realise that Emma did not ”murder” Cruella, but was simply protecting her son?

-I feel that Hades is slow to act and is not using all the powers at his disposal to be a bigger threat to our heroes. We haven’t learned what all his powers are yet, but he is a god so he should have quite a few powerful ones.

    LOL

-This episode reminded us of another plot hole…this time it was one in Season 1. If Regina was able to attack people through her mirror (fireballs), then there would be no reason for her to send Hansel and Gretel into the witch’s home, or make many of her appearances outside the castle to terrorize and kill her victims.

    CURIOUS

…to find out what the pen’s unfinished business is. Writing all of the character’s adventures until the end of time, I suppose. Or is there is a specific storyline that it is waiting to write?

I also wonder if the pen and the chisel are somehow connected or might be one and the same?

    CONCLUSION

I am putting ”I have my reasons” in the same category as ”You’re questions are pointless.”

Though I still think it is likely the funeral scene is for Robin, A&E did say at some point (was it at a convention?does anyone else remember?) that we will see the consequences of Snowing sharing a heart.

Perhaps one of them will go.

Or perhaps I am too trusting of the writers to stick to their word.

Hmmmm….I’m concerned about this version of Meg. She so far lacks the spice Megara had. I know OUAT characters are different from their movie counterparts, but c’mon….Meg was Meg!

I am actually glad for it. The further away from the Disney version of the folklores, myths and legends we get, the better.

Perhaps she will be tidied up towards the end of the season 😉

I agree that this is sounding  more and more like Robin will bite the dust. Just when we need to find out more about him and why he believed himself to have had a dark past.

He has also been given less and less to do and say. Did he say anything in ep 12? I can’t remember. I also agree that it could be due to budget cuts.

We also need to find out more about what happened between him and Regina in the missing year. My head cannon says she was eventually horrible to him to protect him from WW so that she would never suspect that Regina cared about him. Maybe we will get this or a similar flashback if he dies in the present day, to show that she has always had ill-intent for Robin and now she is able to achieve what she originally set out to do? Something like this might make me feel a bit better.

I really hope that Regina doesn’t regress the slightest bit like she did when ‘Marian’ came back. I am tired of that I think it would be very unrealistic at this point, as she has come too far. Something does needs to be done about Zelena though, as she poses a danger to Roland, Henry and anyone else Regina holds dear. Instead of killing her (which would be hypocritical as others have already said), I am thinking some special prison for magical creatures might suffice. Henry could write it into existence.

Or is all of this wishful thinking again?

Continuing on with the Robin speculation: it does really look like they are killing the guy. Regina is dressed in widow weeds.

    Quote

I hope not. My wishful thinking is leading me to hope she is donning these clothes for all the people she killed in EF then saved in the Underworld by helping them move on.

    Really enjoyed Henry Sr’s parting.

How to complete the unfinished business of the characters that can’t move one?

-Cora: Making it up to Zelena, and helping to heal the rift between her two daughters.

-Peter Pan: I don’t think his business will ever be finished. He is still as selfish as ever. Not only that but he can exist forever in purgatory, and the only he wanted was to live forever so he already has his wish. I am confused as to why he was there, to be honest. I have no idea what is fate is going to be.

-Cruella: Another character who is nonredeemable (due to her being evil right from childhood) so again, she should be in Hell, not the Underworld/purgatory. Maybe there needs to be some kind of resolution between herself and her mother?

-Any lost souls that Regina killed in her pursuit of Snow, or for sport might need some kind of sacrifice from Regina. I don’t think the show would have them exact revenge on her, so how on earth otherwise is she going to save hundreds of souls in that amount of time? Failing that, I think she needs to somehow give back the hearts of those who are deceased so that they can move on. Not sure how those she killed through other methods would be saved, though. Perhaps some magic button will be pressed somewhere that will allow all the wandering souls to visit those they care about first (or allow them to have it out with someone) before moving on. Perhaps this magic button needs a dollop of hope to be pressed. Yey for the Magic Button of Hope!

I honestly think that this storyline will not be taken as far as it needs to go, especially as they still need to fit in more Oz, and more New Camelot. Hopefully we will get a RH backstory as well (one that explains why he insists he too has a dark past). I think one or two of the characters will be released from the Underworld via having had their business finished, and this will represent the others being saved as well.

    One question to think about:

Let’s say that Emma’s plan to split her heart to save Hook works. Hook still needs replacing. Who is going to replace Hook? For every soul that is brought back to the land(s) of the living from the Underworld (or saved from it’s fate of entering the Underworld), another person must die. Will Rumple sacrifice himself , taking all of the Dark One’s curse with him?

I wonder which fairy Rumple might need to summon. The black one or the blue one? I am hoping the Black Fairy.

Rumple was referring to the ferry, the boat that they took to get to the Underworld, not a fairy. Rumple was able to summon it with his blood, because he had been there and had been resurrected.

Ah. He is another actor who mumbles sometimes, so I didn’t quite understand much of what he said, either. Thank you for clearing that up.
