ParticipantNO NO NO NO NO!
Peter Pan might get redeemed, and possibly at the hands of Emma?
I want to see Emma the Savior do some saving sure, but I don’t like the idea that villians can do whatever they want and then not work towards redemption, and instead be saved by the Savior! What kind of message is that? This is getting way too Judeo-Christian for me. I realize that the writers have been using the bible as a source since the beginning but this beyong what I can stomach. (My apologies to anyone who is Christian or Jewish here).
The villians have to make an effort. They should help the savior to help themselves! Like Regina! (And she still has a long way to go). We need to have a villian that refuses to improve and therefore cannot be saved, even by the Savior. An example needs to be set!

ParticipantMy theory is in order to save everyone from Arthur and Zelena in Camelot she had to battle Merlin but pretended that she destroy him and in order to cast the curse she tether part of Hook heart and his soul to the dagger to bring everyone back to Storybrook and she needed Rumple to pull Excalibur because he is a blank slate but also he knew Hook the longest and she doing all this to save Hook and destroy the darkness
After seeing the second sneak peak, I also wondered a similar thing.
I wonder where Lancelot is, though.
And it may not be the dark curse, just a curse built to look like one (hence the memory removal?). But that would beg the question as to why she would want to fake a dark curse, I must admit….

ParticipantRegina didn’t die. She wiggled around in the air for a bit and nothing happened.
That’s because she didn’t have any “wicked” in her (ie: they needed to find a way to insert Zelena into the narrative). And once Zelena activated it, Regina simply directed it.
Yeah, you have just confirmed my suspicion in the post above.

ParticipantYou’re the only one around who has wielded Merlin’s magic and lived to tell about it.
This is actually the more interesting part of the conversation for me. So anyone who wields Merlin’s magic dies? Does that mean that whatever plan Emma has cooked up–I guess reuniting the dagger and Excalibur–will single her death? And Emma seems to know this.
Regina didn’t die. She wiggled around in the air for a bit and nothing happened.
I guess it is anyone with a substantial amount of darkness in them vs light dies? Or something?
It makes no sense…so confused.

ParticipantJackie Minns as Woman, Max Haynes as Young Man
Innocent peasant victims? Or could the man be Prometheus?
Adam and Eve type figures? First man and first woman? (If this episode involves the first spark/fire for forging exacilbur and the dark one back together). Or maybe that is too biblical.
If Merlin the man died (as it seems that his apprentice has as well) and his essence remains who will be the next Merlin? Cured!Emma? Henry? Rumple? Zelena’s unborn baby? lol.

ParticipantI have a feeling that the “spark from mankind’s original fire” will turn out to be the fire that Prometheus stole from Olympus and introduced to mankind. With 5B being the Underworld and other elements from Greek mythology, I could see it as another possible hint that they’re throwing at us.
Yes, hopefully.

–The plot in Storybrooke has come to an utter standstill.Quote
Yes how convenient that that bag of balls (pun intended) worked!
I am also irritated that not much happened in SB for the sake of one great long Brave advert.
No matter how good she is with the sword, there was vastly more of them.
Yes! I actually said, to my TV (as if it could hear me): “there are like 20 of you! She might take out one or two, but this is an easy solution. Just overwhelm her all at once and badda bing badda boom, she’s gone.” It’s like those level grade B action movies where the villains all stand around and wait for the hero to fight them one on one and said hero manages to pick them off one at a time.
Me too! I thought it was rather strange. I bent it to fit a logical framework by telling myself that they knelt before her out of inspiration rather than fear. The the war cry ”if I can do that with an arrow, you don’t want to see what I can do with a sword” fell on deaf ears and they were just awestruck. I know that what I am saying doesn’t make any sense. I just want to like this show. *sob*

ParticipantWriting this without looking at the other posts-will read them after I am done.
Oh this episode.
I loved the adventure with Merida and Belle, and Emelie de Ravin was at the best I have ever seen her.
BUT
After the whole thing with the snake venom I find it hard to believe that Arthur would be dumb enough to leave the evidence of throwing the mushroom in the fire…wouldn’t he check to see if it started to burn properly? Just like he stood about to make sure that the knight disappeared after drinking the venom?
I said this before and I will say it again. there is absolutely no need to have this whole thing with Merida to make Rumple brave. It would have been quicker for Emma to simply to threaten Belle’s life herself. I really can’t stand it when this show includes characters just for the sake of it. It feels like one big advert for Disney.I realise that this is shown on ABC but I have reached my limit with this.
AND the absolute worst
We got no explanation as to why Merlin was able to appear to Emma while he was in a tree and she was in another world. We were brushed off with ”never mind how I was able to do that…” type of thing.
Blah.
5/10
P.S did anyone else notice Merida’s wig slip when she scratched her head? lol
