Participant. (I am not sure where this blessing would fit in the few minutes between Emma being born and her being put in the wardrobe).
what if she was cursed before she was born
I had thought of this as well, but in the original tale, the fairies blessed Sleeping Beauty after she was born. Once changes things alot, but I thought they might keep this aspect of the original tale. Or maybe not, maybe you are right 😉

ParticipantThe thing is, if they really do want to separate ScarletQueen for good, I wish they had just kept Anastasia dead in the Wonderland finale, rather than having her resurrected in the contrived manner we got. So they resurrected her only to have her either die (again) or break up with Will? Hence I am clinging to the idea that this could only be temporary, and ScarletQueen could still be endgame. Especially if Rumbelle actually manages to get back together, which would effectively separate ScarletBeauty.
Perhaps the HE between Will and Ana was the original timeline. Then, maybe there was a butterfly effect to other worlds/dimensions due to Emma’s actions in past EF, which affected the events in WL.
Or maybe Will and Ana had a HE, which was cut short by Ana going evil again or for some other reason, like her death.
Meanwhile, perhaps Will had no images of her (because in fictional London photographs and paintings were probably very expensive to get done?) so he broke into the library to see some images of her, albeit her as the Red Queen.
Personally, I would like Belle and Will to stay together. They make a cute couple, and I think they have more in common that Belle and Rumple.

ParticipantIt does specify “landlord”.
Yeah, that is why I think Yen Sid owns the house, rather than lives there, and that the apprentice was his tenant. Yen Sid being the owner of both the mansion where the sorcerer’s hat was found and the house in which the apprentice was living seems to be the answer. It’s also possible that the sorcerer (aka possibly Yen Sid) disguised himself as the apprentice.
This would make sense, except that Eddy and Adam said a few weeks ago that the Sorcerer isn’t Yensid. Perhaps Yensid on the post it note is just the landlord, not the sorcerer.

ParticipantAlso, good to suddenly know that mobile phone microwaves can cross magical barriers, too. In fact, they probably knew that already…they must have used more than just ordinary telephone lines to contact the outside world just before Regina’s curse was broken.
As I said in another thread recently, communication by cell phone between Storybrooke and the outside world has always been possible. We saw it back in “Manhattan”, when Emma called Snow and Charming from NYC to Storybrooke. Greg and Neal were also able to call Tamara from within Storybrooke before she arrived in town.
If microwaves can cross magical boundaries, then SB would be visible on google map, via satellite. No map required!
Regina/Emma had that scroll thing the whole time? So Regina could have given RH that scroll, shown RH on the map she gave him the road he needs to get back to the SB town line, then mark the edge of it with some sexy knickers of hers so he could be sure he was at the right place?
The scroll solution was ridiculously convenient. The situation with Robin isn’t quite that simple though, because Marian will die if she’s in SB, and they have a son, which is why they left. Shared custody of Roland in their particular situation would be quite the headache. I guess though if Roland can teleport via scroll over the line whenever, then once Marian’s set up and able to get by in our world on her own, then Robin could go back to SB. (We’re probably done with the plot device scroll now though, I mean, they let Ursula and Cruella keep it, so I doubt we’ll see it being used by anyone else ever again.)
good point.

ParticipantYes, the secret is annoying because of
a) echo caves
b) dark spots on hearts, or lack of them at certain points in the timeline.
c) Snow not being able to keep other people’s secrets, but keeps her own well enough (okay , she was a child, I’ll let this one go).
The orb on top of Mal’s staff seems a different color than the one she used to contain the dark curse.
I can’t really remember, but if I am right then maybe Mal has news of Regina’s plan to enact the dark curse. In return,
1) maybe she wants safe passage to our world outside of SB for Ursula and Cruella , or maybe Mal has a daughter (Lily) that needs protecting, and she wants safe passage for her, too. Maybe , Emma has a twin, Lily and Mal wanted to take Lily, for whatever reason. The BF would have to become involved here, I think ,or maybe Rumple.
2) Like someone else said, maybe she wanted to bless Emma….but with the greatest potential for darkness to protect herself and her friends in the new world from Emma’s will to beat the villains. (I am not sure where this blessing would fit in the few minutes between Emma being born and her being put in the wardrobe).
And I remember in the pilot, Charming saying something like ”the animals are abuzz with the Queen’s plan.”
Maybe it was Cruella using the animals to send constant feedback about what Regina was doing.

ParticipantOkay so with the new revealtions that Zelena is alive and most likely impersonating Marian, I have a theory. Basically, Glinda has a magical Book Of Records that foretells the Past, Present, and Future. I think whoever created this book is probably the same person who created Henry’s book. Zelena banished Glinda and probably still has the book in her possession so she may know who the Author is and if not her, then maybe Glinda does. A&E did say that we would get Oz flashbacks this season and this could be why. Oz may be where we meet the Author. Maybe that’s where we will meet the author. MAYBE The Author is actually the old Witch Of The West (remember Glinda said the west seat hadn’t been filled in a long time so someone had to have sat there before Zelena was welcomed and something had to have happened to them.) So yeah. Any thoughts? Maybe Black Fairy is the Old Witch Of The West (who was then banished and her sit was filled by Zelena later) who is the Author
Great theory, and nice connection with the book in Oz.
How about the Sorcerer (not the Author) was the original Wizard of Oz before Walsh posed as him? Maybe the Sorcerer is collecting copies the Author’s books (one of which is Glinda’s book) to keep tabs on him or find ways to overpower him (or change the stories?).

ParticipantAnother thing…
Regina/Emma had that scroll thing the whole time?

Also, good to suddenly know that mobile phone microwaves can cross magical barriers, too. In fact, they probably knew that already…they must have used more than just ordinary telephone lines to contact the outside world just before Regina’s curse was broken.
So I guess Regina didn’t have a spare mobile phone to give to Robin????
What a load of teenage angst over nothing.
Girl really needs to get that scroll back off the QoD. It might come in handy again. (Can’t believe they didn’t do that as they crossed over the first time…probably because Rumple would never fit in the trunk/boot of the car for some reason so Adam and Eddy had them cross back over the line to go and get him).
Speaking of Adam and Eddy….
Perhaps Adam is the ”author” and he will make a cameo as himself at the end of the show, heehee.
Hmmm…that secret Snowing are holding are really bugging me….what could they be hiding that is so terrible?
I don’t know but whatever it is, it can’t be that bad otherwise both Snow and Charming would have black spots on their hearts from before Regina cast the dark curse. If it is bad enough to cause dark spots, then could we say that Snow’s dark spot was not from killing Cora but from this secret, or that killing Cora made the dark spot bigger? How about about Charming, we did not see any dark spots on his heart when Regina used it for the second dark curse. Are we meant to believe that Snowing redeemed themselves in NL to the point where the dark spots had gone and they were able to cross through the door to meet Glinda (assuming that in the case of Snow it wasn’t the baby that allowed Snow to cross???)

ParticipantI think the secret is something to do with Emma herself. I think Snow knew while she was pregnant about her unborn daughter having the potential for the greatest darkness. Perhaps she convinced Charming that they had to perform some sort of exorcism on their unborn child, and so they went to the QoD for help. Rumple knows about Emma having a heart with a potential for darkness, so perhaps there was some prophesy involving the savior and an anti-savior (aka Lily). If Lily is the sister of Emma, then it would be all the juicer (though totally over-the-top as far as ret-conning goes).
Just came on here to write the same idea. I see that due to time zone differences, someone else beat me to it!
It’s nice to see someone else thinking along the same lines.

ParticipantAnother thing… If the author is a god-like figure, then surely he must control who the Sorcerer is and what he does????
Not necessarily. There are different views on how “god” operates in the world. He could be an active part, or he could sit back and just watch it all play out, not interfering. The metaphor of god as someone who created the universe but then left it to its own devices works here. There is also the idea that there can be no darkness without light, and no light without the darkness. You don’t eradicate the darkness but it’s a constant never ending battle that will never have a winner until the very end of time.
Perhaps the author and the sorcerer do battle for people’s soul’s, like God and the Devil in the bible.
