I’d like to be the keeper of
-Regina’s light magic
-Regina’s bravery
if they haven’t already been claimed?

onceaholicParticipant1) Favorite episode of 4A?
The Snow Queen. This one had the least number of plot holes, to my memory. 401 wasn’t too bad, either.
2) Least favorite episode of 4A?
All the rest, due to plot holes, (ep 3 or 2 being the worst…and Bo Peep was just embarrassing) or just feeling unsatisfied due to not feeling a real sense of danger. No one died during the shattered sight spell; it was comical rather than dark, scary or apocalyptic.
3) Overall thoughts on the Frozen storyline?
Horrible money grab. Unnecessary to the Snow Queen plot.
4) Favorite moment or arc within 4A?
-Emma agreeing to help Regina on her quest to find the Author.
-Belle getting wise to Rumple’s antics and pushing him over the time line.
-Finding out that Enchanted Forest is not the name of the whole world, but the name of a land mass or continent in their world (due to the existence of Arendelle and not needing to use a portal to get there from Mist Haven/Enchanted Forest and back).
-The hat, sorcerer and author of the book.
-Lily. Really hope to see her again. That star on her wrist had to mean something.
-Emma and Regina drinking shots at the bar.
5) Best Frozen Adapted Character?
Sven, the Reindeer.
6) Final Grade for 4A?
6/10 or a C-, due to plot holes or other silly plot points that made little sense. The fairies stepping in at the *last minute* to help prevent the Shattered Sight Spell. Also the issue of Regina almost executing Marian was never discussed, and Robin’s line to Regina when he accosted her in the vault sounded like he was giving up his values to be with her for one night. Meanwhile, we saw very little of Henry as the Apprentice. True Love vs Soul Mate was never touched upon either. They just stopped using ‘Soul Mate’ and used ‘True Love’ only, instead. Oh, and they still haven’t addressed the disconnect between Robin’s perception of what happened to Marian and her arrest!
Some of the above might be dealt with in 4B, but with these writers I am not going to hold my breath. Besides, if they had not had Frozen and just the Snow Queen, they may have had time to deal with all of the above and more in a timely manner.

onceaholicParticipantPerhaps Ursula has a sister or a mother whose backstory we’ll explore? Perhaps a relationship with Ariel’s father?
Yes, I had also guessed that this character is a younger Ursula or a younger family member that was harmed in some way.

I actually prefer the slower ones as they leave time for character moments instead of plot! plot! plot hole! plot device! plot! This episode stood on a half season (or more) of plot holes, but taken by itself it was a lovely episode. 7/10.
Oh, I like slow character driven episodes too but there is a difference between slow and character building and just “let’s do nothing but stand around and rehash all our plans” Like, I know that Rumple is going to cleave (twitch) himself from the dagger. I know that Rumple doesn’t want Belle and Anna to meet. I know all these things that they keep taking up time with because it “treads water”
Not a fan of Downton Abbey, then? lol

My favorite part was finding the library shelves stacked with books with blank pages. Belle and Rumple at the town line was also a great scene. Wicked Regal spotted Robin ”stealing” Regina’s ring. It was a nice touch and it would give him something to remember her by. Also, if the two were ever to be reunited, perhaps the ring will play a part in that. I also noticed that the graphics for Rumple’s castle was slightly better.
I am not liking Ursula and Cruella de Vil. I think Maleficient by herself would have been enough. Also, how did they figure out that pushing people over the line will prevent them from returning? They based this assumption on…what? It turned out to be correct, but how did they know? Another thing, how the heck did Belle get between Rumple and Emma in the clock tower? Is there another door? Or did she creep slowly up the stairs before Emma and Snow arrived and shouted out? Also how did Emma, Snow or Belle know to get to the clock tower? Anna did not tell the Charmings were Rumple was, and as far as we know the spell wasn’t visable from the outside, and even if it was there was not enough time between the spell hovering over their heads and Emma and Snow appearing from the elevator.???????
I don’t think the remnants of the spell will stay up forever. The three villains will find themselves in SB with Rumple, no doubt, and this will allow Robin to come back as well, with Marian and Roland.
I am also curious to find out how the Queens of Darkness ended up outside of SB. The sorcerer’s portal? Did they come via the second dark curse and cross the town line between 3B and Elsa’s wall going up?
Over the weekend (or was it Friday?) I had theorized that Regina will team up with the Queens of Darkness to find the ”author” of the book and help them get their happy endings. Once she and Mal are done pulling each others hair out, perhaps she will promise to get their Happy Endings to make it up to them or to prevent them from causing more trouble (”if you don’t get our happy ending we will do xyz to take it for ourselves” etc)? This might leave 4B without a true villain, but it could be Rumple now that Emma etc found out his dastardly plan which included crushing Hook’s heart. Also, protagonists don’t need a villain to create the problem in a story. The ”problem” can also be a new goal, the journey they take to achieve it, and whether or not they achieve it. In this ep, Emma, the protagonist, said that she will join Regina on her quest. This is a further hint that 4B will have a quest or goal, rather than a villain or villains to defeat.
EDIT
It still wasn’t clear what Rumple’s motivations were with our world. He wanted to keep his power and be free of the dagger (because he loves his power) while handing the world to Belle on a plate, I think. It seems that the back story was showing Belle’s appetite for exploring and knowing the whole world, and this is what he wanted to give her, maybe.

onceaholicParticipantwell spotted!
This might play a role in reuniting the two of them, if they ever will.

onceaholicParticipantWhen I heard Ingrid say this, I got this impression also.
I think Regina will be tempted to the dark side briefly but will ultimately choose to be a hero. She might do both and promise to find these villains their happy ending by searching for the ”author” of the book.

December 13, 2014 at 7:59 am in reply to: TVLine Dec 12: Blind Item (A Baby) (CONFIRMED: NOT ONCE) #293068onceaholicParticipantI don’t think that this baby will be a Once baby.
My guess would be that this blind item is for a new but highly successful show. I haven’t watched the other shows that TV Line covers, so I couldn’t speculate which show it could be instead of Once.
Meanwhile, Lana is a woman in her late 30s, and she has had her small bump there for a number of months now, if you look at her TV interviews. It seems to be just your average muffin top to me.
However, the Outlaw Queen storyline was written so badly, it is as if the writers intend for the character to be pregnant, or at least have that up their sleave in case Lana does get pregnant. So I expect a pregnancy at some point for Regina, but I don’t think the blind item above is referring to it.

onceaholicParticipantMy theory is that Mal replaced Tink as Regina’s fairy godmother….
