I feel like this is going to be the introduction of some kind of magical McGuffin. Like inside the garden is a some kind of magic mushroom that jogs peoples cursed memories or some nonsense.
*shudder* with their past record you could be right *twitch*

onceaholicParticipantOoh Regina’s in a suit. Flashback with part/full explanation on how the new big bad moved the characters from Storybrooke to a city?
Keeper of Regina's bravery
onceaholicParticipantOkay so…
Love the fact we get to see Regina and Henry but….
1) Where did that magic bean come from?
2) Where is Emma and his other parents? They don’t know when he’s coming back so a bit weird to have this scene without all parents present ( and JMo was available for that episode).
3) Dialogue was so amateur (writing, not the actors)
4) Jared’s acting has improved a bit.
5) As others have said bean portals don’t open like that and how on earth is Henry keeping that bike running? Fairy dust?
Poor Lana. She’s better than this.
Keeper of Regina's bravery
onceaholicParticipantWhat do we know about her so far?
1) Her name is Carole…meaning ”strong”
2) She has magic
3) Both of her parents are dead, and she has a sister.
4) Disney’s Caroles: A Christmas Carol (haha), a Love Bug character.
Some ideas:
-Land of Untold Stories character
-From our world. All the magic going on in SB, Emma’s magic or Henry’s ”please believe” speech in NY/our world somehow awakened magic in some random people and/or caused babies with magic to be born.
-Killian and Emma’s daughter (Hook only around in flashbacks or a new version of him in WWW),
-If this name is fake, then she could be the Mad Hatter’s daughter (seeing as she was originally called Grace).

June 23, 2017 at 1:21 am in reply to: Zelena Mills/The Wicked Witch of the West Character Analysis #339752onceaholicParticipantI think Zelena has borderline personality disorder with psychopathic tendencies (like her sister). In real life the two can co-occur.
Wait, here me out.
There are two types of psychopath (I have read):
1) heroes that can make the tough decisions and take on the responsibility for them (for example, doctors and soldiers but not all of these are psychopaths of course)
2) nasty pieces of work that revel in the power they can have over other people. Some are killers, most are not.
We have seen Zelena be a hero in her youth, and achieve that status again when she gave up her magic powers.
Why borderline, which I think is her biggest trait? Because she has a extreme jealous streak, and in the past she would stop at nothing to get her revenge. Some borderlines are killers, some are not. Meanwhile, one of the main causes of this personality disorder (along with the negative side of psychopathy) is emotional neglect and abuse. This leads to low self-esteem, desperation to find love from any source, even if that source is toxic (Hades, Rumple), possessiveness and jealousy when the affections of the target is placed elsewhere.
Nevertheless, unlike psychopaths and narcissists, many (but not all) borderlines can be self-reflective and be motivated to change their mindset and behaviours. We have seen this in Zelena as well.

onceaholicParticipantIn this order:
1. Young Regina-so well played by a much older LP. It was so bittersweet to see the potential in her.
2. Mayor Regina-because she has shown so much growth. And the sword-fighting….amazing!
3. Bandit Snow-love her brand of ”tom-boyism”
4. Mad Hatter-simply because the actor was soooo goood.
5. Zelena-again because the actress was very good.
6. Granny-her no-nonsense approach allows her to not care about who people are and what people think.
7. Evil Queen has been demoted to bottom of this list, but is still on it. In the first and second season she was actually scary, but in seasons after that she was far too comical and immature and I could not take her seriously. Not only that but if you think about her timeline, it just made no sense in terms of character development. Sure, we all have our comical side, being laughed with or laughed at, but the difference was too stark.

onceaholicParticipantI am definitely a fan of the grandma Regina and great grandpa Rumpel that could be there. They would actually have to use it though and actually have the characters talk about their past and not just have it be about the new big bad.
I am also very curious about what these characters will look like. I guess we can assume that Rumple will look the same, being immortal and having not changed over the past 300 years. Hook will age to about 50. But Regina though? Glamour spell or grey hair and whiskers? haha.
As for what the writers will do with the characters…maybe they will appear in flashbacks only, because their past actions affected Lucy and Henry’s current situation? Certainly this would keep the characters looking young.

I think I am in the minority here when I say that I didn’t like this film. Dan Stevens, and Gaston’s buddy were great, and Luke Evans (Gaston) was even better, but Emma Watson was totally the wrong choice for Belle (as I predicted from the trailer). Even though I loved the others’ acting, the visuals, the songs and the fleshing-out of the characters via the backstories, the choice in actress for Belle ruined it for me (and for the hubby, too).
In the cartoon version Belle’s facial expressions and tone are both full of genuine warmth and friendliness. (I normally stick to the Grimm’s version of fairytales but Beauty and Beast is the only exception). Emma Watson’s however, were not. I get the impression that a lot of Americans are dazzled by her clipped English accent, that it makes her sound intelligent. As an English woman, I am not. I saw the fake-friendliness and fake-warmth that I find is very common to the English, in particular the Southerners (not saying they are all like that, of course). I also find EW inflexible as an actress. All I saw was EW playing herself (or playing a singing Hermione). Her acting in all her movies is stiff; technical rather than easy and natural.
Disney has almost ruined the memory of the cartoon version for me. Almost.

onceaholicParticipantRegina/Lana is in it. This is the only positive for me.
Maybe she will get a new love interest, seeing as the EQ got one.
Tarzan haha.
