It worked! Haha! 🙂 I haven’t been on here in a while, so I forgot some things. So glad ONCE is back this week!!!
[adrotate group="5"]oncemusicfanParticipantI will try again..
Of course he’s a flying monkey! His name is Walsh. This is clearly a nod to Pat Walshe who played one of the flying monkeys in The Wizard of Oz. I could be wrong…but based on the whole Dr. Whale thing, it’s highly likely that he’s a flying monkey.
oncemusicfanParticipantHi everyone! I think I’m having trouble with spoiler tags.:(
oncemusicfanParticipantBeautifully written analysis by sincerelygsh:
This was a great read! Thanks for sharing!  Sorry, it’s been a while since I’ve posted so I’m still trying to catch up on all of the cool stuff everyone has been posting!
oncemusicfanParticipantI just had a what if pop into my head lol What if in that “not a day will go by where I won’t think of you” scene Killian would have removed his hook and given it to Emma to take with her? Then when he came back for her reattached it so she’d know they had a past together?
That would have been interesting, but it might have been too grand of a gesture at the time. I kind of like that she doesn’t have anything of his (that we know of) that might make her remember immediately. It should be fun seeing exactly how she gets her memories back!
oncemusicfanParticipantSarah- I totally understand.  Sometimes I also feel like I can get just a little too emotionally invested in a fictional show, but I view it more as a fun thing I like to do. That’s all. I definitely never let it get in the way of spending time with God or my family and friends. Hopefully, you might consider just taking a break and coming back when the season starts back up again?? If not though, I completely get it. God bless you as well!
oncemusicfanParticipantin 3×11, when they were saying goodbye and didn’t know how long it would be until they saw each other again, was the PERFECT time to exchange “I love you’s, they gave them one of the most platonic goodbyes I’ve ever seen between people who love each other.
VERY good point! I also thought the Swanfire goodbye scene was very platonic and it’s highly likely that it was written that way on purpose.
oncemusicfanParticipantHappy New Year to all my CS shipmates and fellow Oncers! Hope you all have a wonderful year filled with many blessings and many good CS moments! 🙂
She’s confronting her feelings, what holding onto Neal has done to her. It’s prevented her from moving on and finding happiness again, and Neal basically represents, pain.Â
I agree. Emma tends to hold on to things for a LONG time. She went looking for her parents for YEARS and she even went to Tallahassee to search for Neal for a couple of years. She doesn’t move on from pain easily. For instance, what happened to Graham still affects her (she still wears his shoelace around her wrist).
What comes to mind in regards to this, is the bar scene in “Manhattan” where Neal asks Emma why she still has the swan keychain/necklace he gave her. She replies, “To remind myself never to trust someone again.” That one sentence speaks VOLUMES! She admitted to Neal that HE is the reason she has trust issues. And then, in her first real attempt at moving on from him, she gave him that keychain/necklace back. I think that’s significant.
I think that was the beginning of her process of moving on. The Echo Caves scene to me was simply more of Emma’s moving on process. Facing her past pain so that she can learn to trust and find happiness again. The only person in that episode that truly offered her a chance at happiness, free of a past tainted with pain is Hook. Just my opinion. I’m not trying to bash Neal at all. In many ways I feel very sorry for him, but not when it comes to Emma.
oncemusicfanParticipantSo yeah, the fact that if Neal and Emma staying together would have been a bad thing… yeah, just says a lot. Lol. It was also partly about cowardice, because he didn’t want to face his father again.
Good point! I do agree about the fact that Neal’s main story arc is with his father. I think it’s ALWAYS been about his relationship with Rumple, first and foremost. Anything else is secondary to that.

The song for the video is just so PERFECT AND FEELS INDUCING uuuuuuuuuuuugh “You’re just lonely… you’ve been lonely… too long” *SOBS*
I’m sure I’ve said this before, but I absolutely LOVE that song! It’s by The Civil Wars, which is one of my favorite bands EVER (even though they’ve broken up). Anyway, please keep the CS videos coming! I need something to get me through this hiatus!
