I guess depending on what name dictionary you use, you can get a different meaning of Wayne. I used this one, and it said “craftsman” not “wagon maker.” Even though I’m sure it would take a craftsman to make a wagon…
[adrotate group="5"]onefanParticipantIMHO, I totally think August is Pinocchio… I don’t know how to explain why Pinocchio has red hair in Fairy Tale Land, and dark hair in StoryBrooke, but everything else makes sense to me…
The wardrobe that Emma was placed in was made with wood from an enchanted tree… I bet Pinocchio was also made from this wood… When Fairy Land came under the spell, Pinocchio was sent to “our world” just as he was, a seven year-old-boy…
Just like Emma, to keep him safe from the spell, he didn’t just wake up in StoryBrooke, he was sent elsewhere, near the same place Emma popped up… Hence how a 7-year-old boy found her in the woods when she was a baby…In the legend of Pinocchio he always liked to tell stories. Stories that got him into trouble because he always tried to convince people they were real. I bet once he popped up in “Our World” he tried telling people the story of the Evil Queen and the curse and people got mad at him… This prompted him to write them all down in a book, “Once Upon a Time…” Which would explain how he knows so much about the book, and why he came to StoryBrooke at the right time… He knew he would have to go when he knew Emma would reach the right age and return….
I got to this conclusion a few ways… 1. August said he doesn’t lie. 2. To make sure he doesn’t lie, he always answers questions by being very vague… EXAMPLE: What’s in the chest? Something I need to do what I came here to do…. What are you doing here? Visiting. Have you been to StoryBrooke before? I didn’t say that…
What really helped me figure this out, was when I read in a previous post that we needed to pay attention to how he talks about Lemurs with Ruby…
He said his favorite place to visit was Nepal. They had nice people. They have these prayer temples in the mountains that are overrun with Lemurs… Lemurs are known as “the ghost primates”… So I think he meant, metaphorically, lemurs = ghost… Prayer temples in Nepal that are overrun with ghost… Then Ruby asks what are lemurs and he answers vague, but true again… They are little animals with eyes that reflect light…. True, but vague… I wondered why he wouldn’t give a better discription, like they are little monkeys with fluffy tails… Then I read, that although Lemurs are primates, they are NOT monkeys, they are prosimians… So, to make sure he isn’t lying to Ruby, he can’t give a more discriptive answer that wasn’t true…
3. August had a fascination with water… If he was made from wood, wood comes from trees, most important thing to a tree would be water right?
4. August seems to relate to Henry easily. Henry is trying to convince someone that his stories are true… That is what Pinocchio use to do…
5. August said in this week’s episode that he was “here for Emma.” To help Emma believe… He wants Emma to believe to break the curse.
6. August = Magestic , Wayne = Craftsman … Magestic Craftsman…
Because he was a child when he came over and probably got to choose his own name, or was adopted or something Booth could have either been chosen by him or given to him by his adoptive family…. -
