Text has decided to take some time off because with all the premiere hype going on, it’s getting a bit too much. Her explanation is maybe a page or two back.
Aww, now I’m sad. 🙁 But I do get where she’s coming from. Luckily our super-telekinetic-psychic-sixth sense will keep us connected. Or y’know, the phone could work too.

Thank you! I just saw the 7 min clip and I must say, I feel oddly detached. I blame my absence from the web, cause in the past two weeks, about a thousand and one things were on my mind and Once was not one of them. But I guess that’s only for the best. The show and I have definitely drifted apart.

My darling Ranchers! I miss you guys!! I’ve been without internet for over a week now and it appears I’ll be without for yet another week. 🙁 I’m at my mother’s house at the moment, checking up on email and things. I’m totally unaware of what’s been happening in Once Land or any land for that matter. Life consists of school and running around all over town trying to get things done for my house. And you may wonder why on earth I’m telling you this, well, because I NEED to! I need some sort of online connection. With SOMEONE. Anyone!
@SadTwin, So sorry I haven’t texted you for a while, but this is the first 5 minutes I’ve had to sit down and catch up. How’s school going for you? Have you got enough pillows yet? 😉
Oh and, what’s the what on Once? Any good (read hilarious/sad/annoying/ridiculous) spoilers?

Hello my dears! My first day of school has started and uhm… I’m already realising that I will have close to zero time to spend with my favorite Ranchers.
Especially the next 2/3 weeks. But knowing me, I won’t be able to resist coming around every now and then. Try not to forget about me! Hugs and <3 for you all!
No Sad Twin! But I’ve missed our combined Sad Twin powers over the last few weeks! I will text you (real texts, not me Text’s) so that you don’t forget me! ;_;
I will NEVER forget you Sad Twin, it’s just not possible. <3 I’m way sad about it though, but there’s always the holidays. I looked it up, end of october I have a week off. So hopefully I can catch up in real time with you and everyone else. But in the meantime, I will also send you texts to let you know I’m alive and well. 😉
@RG, Thank you! It was quite good actually yes. My classmates are pretty cool. Already made an almost friend, cause well it’s only the first day so the label ‘friend’ might be a bit premature.

ABC puts pressure on the show runners to “give the fans what they want.” Otherwise, says ABC, the fans won’t tune in and then the writers won’t have a show anymore.
Excellent post overall, but just wanted to respond to this little bit. I’m quite unforgiving in this. ABC should know better. Simple as that. I mean really. It’s not like ABC is new to the game. Before the internet and social media and overly outspoken feedback, did tv series really crash and burn? Did their ratings drop because they weren’t catering to the loudest of opinions, or the most popular points of view? No. They prospered. Why? Because the shows were allowed to run their course. No panicked change of plans, no looking for ways to please the majorities, just having a vision and sticking to it. Letting it go, watching it spread its wings and take off. Nothing was in danger of crashing.
I think this new era of social media and the minimization of the gap between the fans and the creators has left the creators (and apparently some networks) overwhelmed, underprepared and frankly insecure (or uncertain if you will). If no one else fits into this category, then at least the makers of Once do. Suddenly they no longer seem to know what makes for good television, because that one guy/girl on twitter had some very strong opinions on their latest episode. Letting fans write your show is never a good idea. Yeah Hook and Emma might seem really awesome together, but is that truly best for your story line? Yeah it would be kinda cool to see Henry have a love interest, but does that actually make sense at the point of his life he finds himself in? Yeah it would be great to have [name any Disney/fairy tale character] appear on the show, but do they have a true purpose for being there?
Fans are fans for a reason. Because they aren’t writers! So my point here, ABC, is this: don’t fix things that aren’t broken.
