ParticipantThere’s so much that could go wrong with the Marian/Robin/Regina triangle if it isn’t treated in the correct manner.
Yes and we all know that A&E always treat triangles in the correct manner, so no worries right…

ParticipantAbout the questions, will never be answered bc they dont know them
Well they do know the answers because they can create the answers. Some of these aren’t questions about anything that is still to come, some are questions about what’s already been shown (or not shown depending on how you look at it). The thing is, they can’t be bothered to create these answers. It’s like they’re bored with what they’ve done in the past and they don’t want to think up explanations for things that are way behind them now. They are excited about the future, about season 4, about Elsa.
In their minds they can’t see why they should bother coming up with the answers to: what was Neal’s job in NY, and how did he decide on the name Neal etc. Because for them it’s a closed chapter. Why go back in the book to add insignificant details that have little to no effect on the big picture, when you’re so wrapped up in this whole new shiny chapter that brings you closer to your happily ever after ending?

ParticipantWow it’s painful to see all those questions listed like that, because we know, we will never get the answers to any of them. OUAT has a track record of never looking back. Once they feel the story has been told, they never revisit it. On to bigger and better things…

ParticipantLooking at that picture, I think Belle really could have become a meaningful person in his life. She’s the type to love unconditionally and that’s something Neal really needed. She could have helped mend the relationship with his father. And you know even if he never ended up with Emma, I could really see him be happy again just with his father and Henry and Belle. Eventually anyway…

ParticipantLook how happy he was! I think he really enjoyed being on the show until it became clear they weren’t going to give him the story they promised.
Yeah you can see the difference and also his twitter feed is more active since the new project. I think he is in more appreciative, respectable, and engaging place without the melodrama.
Is it very weird that I feel happy that MRJ is happy? That’s kind of all I wanted for Neal and he didn’t get anything happy and with that neither did MRJ. Now that he has a project that he’s passionate about again, I don’t know, it sorta helps with the bitterness of Neal’s unhappy ending. He’s moving on, not looking back, only going forward. That gives me the reassurance that it’s ok for me to move on (from the entire Neal debacle) aswell. Yes I have a weird brain that works in weird ways.
Quite honestly, most of the cast seem to be getting more active on Twitter this summer and most of it has little to do with OUAT so I think several of them could be disillusioned with the show too.
I think they’re just happy they can finally use their twitter page for whatever the heck THEY want for a change. No more adding ABC approved hashtags to every single tweet they post. Must be nice to have control over what you post. They’ve discovered how beautiful life can be outside of the clutches of ABC. LOL

ParticipantAfter S2 A and E came out and said that the tazer was a giant misstep and they wished they had written something else. They thought it would be clear that it was a magical tazer and that’s why it could hurt wooden-man August, but the audience became really confused and kept pointing out them that it shouldn’t have worked. Eddy said something like, “I wish we had written a syringe filled with green goo!”
Hahaha! No way! I missed some good laughs apparently. I know it’s a bit late to criticise s2, but uhm magic haters using “magical” objects?? *shakes head laughing* Look no further people, the comic relief of Once Upon a Time are the creators themselves.

ParticipantI’ve only ever seen then actually take slack once, and that was for the tazer in S2. Outside of that, they don’t acknowledge that the show has issues. They like their toys and the way they set them up.
Oh I missed that, what was the issue with the taser?
You know that is my one true problem with A&E. The fact that they never ever acknowledge their mistakes. As if it’s such a shame to admit you did something wrong. To me, it’s a bigger shame to foolishly try and cover up your mistakes with lines such as ‘that’s your interpretation’ when there is simply no room for interpretation.

Participant@RG, *sigh* Yeah I guess… I get that. Perhaps the core of the problem is their commercial thinking. They’re thinking from a ‘what’s gonna get me ratings pov’ not a ‘what’s gonna make an amazing story pov’, which I think they inherited from friend ABC. Yes Lana is wonderful and Hook has quite a following, but take a step back. Look at your work. Look at it as a whole. Go back to your previous episodes. Find the true story, don’t just go with whatever because so and so is popular and he or she can act so wonderfully.
I can see how the big stuff gets equal amounts of positive and negative responses. However, small things like everyone being related to Henry for example. How many out there actually say, wow I LOVE that keep making up new relatives for Henry. Same goes for the time jumps, the memory loss… how many people are actually still enjoying that? And if there are still a whole lot who do, how much longer will they? Soon it’ll become same old, same old in the eyes of viewers (for me it’s already that).

Participantstop using the annoying plot devices.
I’ll go even further than that, stop using romance. Stop using it to make your show. Cause newsflash, it’s not making your show, it’s breaking it and the fandom.
This is EXACTLY the reason why I want the entire story of Elsa to have nothing to do with romance whatsoever. No flirting, no long lost loves, no vengeance over long lost loves, no smooching, no having fallen in love in the past, present or future with any of the existing characters OR not yet existing characters. Just a good solid story that will captivate you and make you want to start to unravel the mysteries of the story again.
