Hook swore of the name of Emma Swan in a selfish plea for redemption. Hmmmm. That basically sounds like his entire S3 arc summed up nicely in a sentence or two, does it? Hook said he’d changed for Emma, and yet he went and killed a man for the sake of his ship. What kind of person does that? Sounds a bit like the writers are speaking in a meta way about “ships” (i.e. relationships) and letting a man die (i.e. Neal) for the sake of CS. What kind of writers do that? Maybe the kind who are “tricksters” who do it to give concrete proof that Emma and Hook don’t share true love by demonstrably showing that Emma and Hook’s “kiss” was not True Love.

Honestly I want everyone to be happy! Yes that includes Hook. He just needs to stop pining. The perfect woman for Hook would be someone who would pursue HIM for a change. I know he’s from a time where the woman sits and waits to be conquered and everything, but so far that tactic hasn’t really worked for him has it.

2 If Emma was being “verbally abusive” to Hook (she’s not) then why would you support that type of relationship calling it “real love”? Surely you’d be encouraging Hook to find someone who doesn’t treat him like that, not encouraging him to stick around and take it?
Well you see, I get the feeling that some CSers are more about the C than the S. In their eyes he’s the wounded puppy and Emma is the big bad witch.

@heather, Don’t even get me started, earlier (not on this site) I saw a comment about how Hook sticking with Emma despite all her verbal abuse (their words not mine) is real love. *confuzzled face*

That is actually exactly what I expect to happen yes. It’s the only way for them to put CS in gear, cause so far Emma’s being very unfangirly towards Hook. And let’s face it, what more do they need? They already have Daddy Charming’s blessing: Here, take Hook, the guy who lied and put Henry in danger with you. He can help light a fire???!

@RG, That’s my fear too. That they may not have TL now, but will somewhere in the future. He’s gonna do all sorts of heroic things and she’ll love him forever and ever.

Ok I won’t lie, I let out the ugly scream when I saw Emma and Hook dancing. I may have channeled the Wicked Witch’s screech there. Luckily no one was around to hear it. And then I let out another ugly scream when Hook and Emma had the Rumple/Bae + Emma/Neal falling through a portal moment! The only good thing in that promo was Hook hitting himself.
I feel dreadful.
Remember how after 3×19, I yelled out in confidence that CS is never gonna happen? Well scratch that, it’s totally gonna happen. And they’re gonna fall in love at a lovely ball and dance and laugh and have babies and live the life Swanfire was supposed to have. Ok so things might not be as they appear, but y’know I’m not in an optimistic mood right now.
@Slurpeez, I kinda love you a little bit. You make lovely and logical points about CS that I wish I could believe in. I just don’t have the faith anymore. It’s trampled by bison, like my shack. I mean all the signs (and lines Emma said in this ep) say that there is no CS. Emma shows no sign of actually loving the guy, but there’s this feeling… a feeling that somehow in the next season she’s gonna see him in a different light or something and falls head over heels in love with him. The non-pirate costume feels like a foreboding of that, since we’ve all been saying that Emma would never actually take him seriously as a romantic interest if he’s dressed like a pirate. So what better way to eliminate that, by giving Hook some snazzy new threads?
Also YES! to tricksters offering hope they could never deliver. Glinda was talking about YOU A&E.
Lastly, please do NOT name the baby Neal! Then Emma will have a brother named after her true love and CSers will use anything to make their ship sound more plausible. It’d be a sign that Emma only loved Neal like brother or some stupid nonsense like that.
