@RumplesGirl: If I’m honest the second half is bordering on depression. All kinds of tragedy is happening. Neal is dead. Henry doesn’t remember him. Everyone is scared/turned into flying monkeys. Rumple is being controlled by Zelena. Belle is alone. Hook’s being shady. People get betrayed. Lies are continuously told. Everything is just so damn sad.

And then 2 seconds of Charming letting Henry drive his car is supposed to be the comedy that lightens the mood? That scene is totally forgotten because it’s overshadowed by gloom and doom.

I used to be such an apologist for the show. “They’ll get to this plot hole, don’t worry!” and such. After Neal’s death, it’s like the rose tinted glasses came off. I find it hard to overlook or explain away plot holes, poorly written character development, and magical handwaving plot devices.

It’s kinda sad that A&E accomplished the exact opposite of what they set out to do, which was give people hope. At this point not many fans have much of that.

I agree with a lot of what Phee said (been doing that a lot lately) on the past few pages. Cause yeah the thought had crossed my mind that the fact they keep making Hook seem like a shady guy, is deliberate. Here’s hoping.

Thing is, the writers sort of made me lose faith which is resulting in me not thinking much of them and their ability to write not crap. It’s gotten to a point where I expect absolutely anything and everything no matter how illogical or stupid. Which is why I wouldn’t put it past them to pair him up with Emma regardless of his transgressions and lies.

Once has made me jaded! 🙁

When Hook was teaching Henry how to cheat, that’s when I knew there’s no future for CS.

Not only cheat but that the most important thing is to win–no matter what you have to do.

Thankfully he’s only corrupting the memory-less Henry. If he ever gets his memories back, I’m sure much of what Hook has been “teaching” him will be disregarded.

The sword fight was pretty fun & yeah it did look like Hook was fighting his cartoon self :P

This is an interesting remark. Like others I had indeed noticed when those stills were released that BB looked a lot like the traditional Hook we know. So maybe this duel was supposed to depict the inner “duel” Hook’s having with himself, with BB representing the old, jaded, revenge seeking, bad guy Hook (the pirate aspect of him). Like he’s LITERALLY fighting with himself. Be the good guy who helps a woman find her love again, or be the pirate who only looks out for himself.

Or I’m overthinking things again. 😉

@RG: I so agree, it’s like 2 eps later she’s all: well I’m done living in the past aka mourning the loss of Neal, time to move on! Like what? Are you for real?

Emma Swan: she of the walls and emotional issues. Just like that: done with the past! Bring on my future! What?????

Yeah, I really don’t know where the writers are going with this, but I’m confuzzled again. Character development… mmyeahwellno. Sorry but no, I ain’t buying it. It’s ooc-ish. But we’ve established that this is a theme now, so.

Maybe she’s doing the ‘lying to herself’ thing again, cause she can’t deal with the grief? I might be grasping at straws here though.
