ParticipantI don’t know if the WRITERS see it that way. I don’t know what the writers see anymore.
I’m with you there. I’m as confuzzled as the next schmuck.

ParticipantLol, well if you summarize it like that… then yes there were upsides to it.
Hadn’t even thought about that, yeah of course she’s trying to keep Henry from feeling that pain. I just thought that maybe she was more worried about the ‘let’s pretend we’re normal’ part of it. But I can see now that that isn’t all of it.

ParticipantI think they’re making Hook off-putting.
Yes, this is what I was thinking too. Which is such a shame, because I used like Hook quite a bit and Colin is simply wonderful, but they’re ruining him.

ParticipantAh yes the flirting was so grossly inappropriate. And I’m not sure if that’s what he meant exactly. I suspect something happened that made him realize piracy isn’t the lifestyle for him anymore and maybe then got the message to get Emma. That’s what I concluded anyway.

Participant@RumplesGirl: Regarding your spoiler post, I think that’s pretty much the only consistent thing in this show.

ParticipantWell now, early much. Maybe they’re panicking about losing viewers. 😛
I hadn’t expected Emma to keep Hook at bay. I might have underestimated her (or the writers if you wanna get technical). I kinda understand where she’s coming from, but at the same time I don’t. She wants a normal life, but keeping Henry in the dark, feels like he hasn’t much of a choice. However, she is protecting him from further pain, I can see that. Still it’s a tough situation all round.

ParticipantWow seeing it frozen like that, Ariel looks mad. Like really mad. Guess we’re going to see a darker side of our sweet mermaid?

ParticipantYou’re not wrong. They need to top Pan, so they pull all the themes and ideas from their three previous villain–Regina, Rumple, and Cora–and mash them together with Oz lore and present Zelena.
What I don’t get is why they feel they need to that. They’re doing it with her past and they’re doing it with her present. Ten times the tragedy equals ten times the villain, seems to be their philosophy. Making a better villain, doesn’t mean more of the same, it means doing something fresh and new and out of the box. Make her come from a totally lovely family for example. Now that would be intriguing and make you go: well I wonder what the heck made her like this then.

ParticipantWell 315 showed that even A/E dont see Bae and Neal together, bc for them neal was a thief, broke emma heart, didnt went to look for her after 201, they wrote it, but they never saw him as both, and tha t is way they put neal dying in a oc and thanking rumple to show him what is sacrifice.
You’ve got a good point there.

ParticipantAnd furthermore, I think Hook has realized this about himself as well. Only too late. Hence his intense (but inner, because he’s a man and men don’t express their feelings, they bottle things up) grief now. He regrets not seeing Bae sooner than right before he died. That’s why I think he calls him Bae so often now.
@astrawoid: Well Hook didn’t see the transition either, same as the audience right? That’s why I reckon he had trouble viewing the man and the boy as one person.Co-Mayor of Sad Town | Twin of Co-Mayor of Sad Town
