ParticipantPossibly… A&E are doing a Rumple. And we’re all Hook. Being psyched out over nothing. Yeah.. no, yeah that’s what this is. It’s all in our heads guys. *laughs nervously*

ParticipantWhat I don’t see is, how exactly are they going to write a happy ending for Rumbelle if they actually go through with this DarkRumple thing? Because logically after this, Belle would turn her back on him and never look back, but they can’t write that. They won’t write that. So… is the only option left to destroy Belle’s character aswell by having her throw all her principles out the window just so she can stand by her man? I just don’t see where on earth they are going with this. They’re setting up a situation that cannot have a positive outcome no matter how you spin it. What’s the plan here?
So yeah… confused. Very very confused am I.Co-Mayor of Sad Town | Twin of Co-Mayor of Sad Town

Participant*sigh* Confusion. And disbelief. And… confusion.
Alright Crossbones it is for me then. It already feels nice to have a show to stay home for again. π

ParticipantYeahokay this… does not make, any sense. At all. What on earth are they doing with RC’s character? And uhm, why?

Participant@Phee, I hope so too. Ginny says she understands why it got cut, but I suspect that she doesn’t really think that time issues are a strong enough argument. This is all that gets cut, ever. ALL of the in depth character reflection conversation peace and quiet moments get cut. THAT is what we want to see. That is what gets you higher ratings. Human interaction. How do they not get that? These story lines are packed with emotions, but they are treating their show as if it’s a blockbuster action flick.
Someone needs to kidnap A&E, tie them to a chair, force them to watch season 1 again and then set them free to make them write season 4 accordingly.
@RG, Thanks. π Hugs for you too. Hugs for everyone on the Ranch! <3
PS. Crossbones is airing here soon and I know you guys were excited about it, so is it worth watching or shouldn’t I bother?

ParticipantI’m getting annoyed. Apparently A&E think they’ve found a way to still get everything that got cut from the episodes viewed by the audience by showing it (basically) immediately after the episode has aired. No. You have to make it work within the episodes itself. You don’t present an apple pie to guests with the dough cooked and the apples unpeeled and all served on the side, do you? ‘Well sorry, had to leave the apples out cause I was pressed for time, but here’s what you’re missing, hope it tastes as good as it would have, had I simply cooked them along with the rest of the pie.’
They think they can have it both ways but they really can’t.
And now that I’m on a roll with the criticism. I dislike the way they are still writing Regina. I’m remembering that evil look on her face when she told Emma “You did this.” SHE brought Marian back and SHE ruined HER happy ending. And now with the book? The book made her a villain? Regina, are you for real woman? I’m tiring of the way the writers still have her looking outward. It’s always everyone elses fault. Her unhappiness is controlled by others. I thought you were a tough no-nonsense woman who took her fate into her own hands Regina. Apparently not.
I just feel that even with Regina, they’re making her happy ending depend too much on a man. On finding a significant other to spend the rest of her days with. Of course it’s horrible to have to watch your second chance at love be (seemingly?) taken away from you, but that doesn’t mean someone set out to make you miserable. Emma did not bring Marian back just antagonize Regina. Yet somehow Regina views it that way. That’s not really progress is it.
And the book, come on, it was written the way events happened. Remember how Emma got in there? She wrote the story by living it. No one wrote her story and compelled her to travel back in time.
Sorry for the Regina rant in the SF thread, but I just needed to get that out and well I try not to criticise outside of this thread, because critique is rarely appreciated out there I think.

ParticipantThis quest is so massive for him. This addiction is huge. [It] drives Rumplestiltskin more than love.
oooof. I donβt agree, Bobby.
I don’t agree either. But I think, the way they have written him lately, that’s the only conclusion RC could arrive at.
